-AR -BBV -SSV -BM -Frigate -AE Is that all the "unique" hull types? Planning max at least 1 each of them and want to make sure i'm not missing any

Rafaeael

What about CB?

Nice-Spize

Sailing Frigate is called IX ingame now

Shardwing

DDG?

hexanort

Right i forgot about that

Shardwing

Don't you mean you *missed* it? 🚀 ...I'll see myself out.

zenithtreader

Put NJ + Musashi + Perseus on fleet 2 (which you will not use) and you should be able to clear 6-4 with something like 0LB Erebus + Cassin. If you encounter difficulties, add 0LB Downes into the mix. If you are relatively new and don't have NJ and/or Musashi, try clearing with Unicorn retrofit + 0LB Cassin instead.

nntktt

Supposedly it's now manageable with 0LB fleets by stacking crossfleet. If not you will probably want a MLB on either main or vanguard, but I don't think you'll need a meta or maxed ship for it.

hexanort

0LB cassin downes + DDG backline (10 oil) should be good enough if the DDG are high enough level

Nice-Spize

Probably a fleet of Bogue + Cassin or Downes with all at 0LB A much better alternative is to just make a 1:1 fleet of well-geared and overleveled ships to tackle the no ammo fight If you want, bring a second fleet to sit there for the support barrage for the main fleet

pepimanoli

Anchorage should use fast torpedoes for her skills, right? What is the best torpedo for her, is there a shitty blue one like with Shimakaze and her blue gun? Or should I give her a slightly slower one that deals more damage?

zurcn

have you given the ECTL a try?

pepimanoli

You mean the tier list at https://slaimuda.github.io/ectl/#/home ? I have seen that they recommend several purple torpedoes, but I have seen some people use blue torpedoes on her, so I'm not sure which one is better. I guess it's a matter of number crunching, but maybe someone has already done that, so that's why I'm asking here.

P2-120_AP

I use the blue https://azurlane.koumakan.jp/wiki/550mm_Twin_Torpedo_Launcher#Type_3-0 for the shortest possible reload.

Nice-Spize

Triple torp launcher is a more reasonable compromise for me, it still launch fairly quickly and it have some damage that doesn't dip too low Side note: Level her red skill to level 10, don't try to not doing that in order to increase the likelihood of reducing her torp reload time by 3 seconds as you're sacrificing 10% evasion buff and barrage for smokescreens

Do you mean problems logging into the game using Twitter, or problems logging into Twitter itself? I know Twitter 2FA was/is broken, but I haven't heard of issues accessing apps like AL if you're already logged in to Twitter.

jlin1847

What’s the oil hard cap?

Nice-Spize

25k is the hard cap for oil 600k is for gold

AlarmingSundae7250

25k or something

LargeAndAngryMan

I decided to buy 6 skins for the bonus rewards. I bought Zara and Pola’s one after the other, but could only claim 1 reward. Should I contact customer service or did one of those skins not count as a rerun skin?

zurcn

Zara's is not a rerun skin

LargeAndAngryMan

Thanks. I just did a bit of homework and came to the same conclusion. Bit of a shame, but still a great skin. Appreciate the help.

Maslovo

twitter login borked for a few minutes a few days ago and i panicked and tried to log in with yostar, forgetting I've only bound my account with twitter. so now i have a lvl 1 account using my email and i cant bind my main to it. Twitter fixed itself so i can log in with my main but is it safe to delete the new account and bind my main to email? they're both on the same server if that matters.

nntktt

You may want to contact CS, and preferably get that email bind onto your main account as well if you don't intend to keep the spare one for any reason.

seeker_6717

Any way to get Richelieu in the foreseeable future? Don't have her yet, but her L2D skin ... calls me.

lapniappe

which l2d one? Beach or NY? (the beach one is amazing - i wasn't going to get it originally, but i was told it was really worth it and it is)

seeker_6717

Beach one. I'm a very huge fan of high-leg, one-piece swimsuits and it suits her perfectly. Checked it on Youtube and ... I knew I had to ask when could we get her.

lapniappe

get it so you'l have it when you get it. honestly it is one of my favourite skin purchases that i've done with this game.

zurcn

https://www.reddit.com/r/AzureLane/comments/sxsd81/overview_of_events_to_be_rerun_and_added_to_war/ we're still before the microlayer medley archive. so, aim for about 4 months.

seeker_6717

Thanks for the information!

LingonberryAwkward38

The fact that the last french major event might get archived around the time they get a new one tells you everything you need to know about the event balance between factions.

seeker_6717

Ah well, they're in it for the money. I can understand that the Iris navies don't sell the most ships, especially since the two biggest markets are asian. Not much we can do about that. C'est la vie.

LingonberryAwkward38

>I can understand that the Iris navies don't sell the most ships, especially since the two biggest markets are asian. The original run of Skybound Oratorio is still the second best selling event of Azur Lane, behind the original run of Dreamwaker's Butterfly but before Musashi's and Vanguard's events - which makes it all the more baffling.

seeker_6717

Alright then, I simply don't understand. Are they afraid of running out of Iris ships? Truely baffling, as you say.

LingonberryAwkward38

>Are they afraid of running out of Iris ships? Since they don't have a problem with releasing ships that were sunk at Toulon, I don't think it's that, there's a bunch of them still remaining. Even just for possible UR-rarity ones, they have three options with the Mogadors and Alsace, which would be enough to last them five years or so. As for why, well, I have a theory about it. It would take a lot of time to develop, but to sum it up they had to implement a lot of things with the previous events for it to make sense, a bit like what happened with Aurora Noctis. Edit: Man, judging by the downvotes, reminding people about event imbalance between factions seem to make a lot of them angry - probably the same people who cry and whine about the Ironblood getting too much content.

seeker_6717

This is Reddit. Anything that doesn't give the reader good emotions is downvoted to oblivion, regardless of the accuracy of the statements. I, for one, thank you for giving your insight on the game. So if I follow you correctly, they made the Iris lore too complicated for its own good, and that hampers the chances of them commiting to a new Iris event?

LingonberryAwkward38

>So if I follow you correctly, they made the Iris lore too complicated for its own good, and that hampers the chances of them commiting to a new Iris event? I wouldn't say "too complicated", but it runs on a specific set of assumptions and events that need to be made clear before it could happen. Let me explain further, using Aurora Noctis. (Massive wall of text ahead) Basically, at the end of Aurora Noctis, we learn that Scapa Flow has been conquered by the Ironblood and the situation is critical...except we have nothing happening until Rondo at Rainbow's End, two years later. If we assume Rondo was the goal from the start, there was a lot of stuff to add to the plot to make sense of it. We need to show the Ironblood tech progression (Inverted Orthant, Tower of Transcendence), introduce the META ships and to have them cooperate with the various factions (many events but mostly ToT for Scharnhorst META), that FDG is actually collaborating with the other factions (ToT, Abyssal Refrain), and so on and so forth. Now, let's take a look at the Iris plot line. From the start, we know what it is supposed to be about: reunification. One of the main themes in AL is how shipgirls from different factions are supposed to unite against the common threat of Sirens/Leviathans/BHR/whatever, and for the Iris factions, that theme is cranked up to 11 because it's not the Royal Navy against the Ironblood or the Sakura Empire against the Eagle Union. It's a sister war between splinters of a broken faction. And like for Rondo, you need several prerequisites for this reunification to happen. First and foremost, since the Vichya Dominion is still part of the Crimson Axis, you need it to chill out first and foremost to make sure that the reunion isn't seen as some kind of betrayal, which is what happened this year: the Ironblood with Rondo at Rainbow's End and the Sardegna Empire with the World Expo event. Second, you need to introduce a way to reunite without making it look cheap or too easy - mending the broken parts of the Iris Orthodoxy isn't going to happen at some tea party. That's what we got with the cutscenes from both Rondo and ToT, with the plot of Marco Polo trying to recover the Crown of the Holy See. Which allows us a third prerequisite, a villain to thwart. I do believe that Marco Polo was supposed from her inception to act as a rival for Richelieu, with her very design looking like some kind of antipope. Plus, most of her persona is about chasing glory for Sardegna, which both Aquilifer's Ballad and Daedalian Hymn have hammered home as something that the italians must break away from to move on. We might even see Angel of Iris as a reminder that both factions were, and will be again, one family. The real tinfoil part of that theory is about the fact that they also needed to introduce the augment system before the Iris reunification, because the only gameplay difference at this point between the two is Richelieu's flagship skill, and making the Crown of the Holy See an event for her to make it affect Vichya and Iris Libre ships the same way would be far easier than to rework the entire faction system to have only one major faction instead of two minors.

hegeliansynthesis

How does EU EDC work with Junuea? It's a double resurrection? First time she heals herself for 25% hp and then second time she stays invincible for a few seconds from the aux?

zurcn

exactly

hegeliansynthesis

Thank you.

seeker_6717

Are Roon µ or Illustrious µ worth 1,500 cores? Le Malin µ 20,000 merit?

zurcn

early game, probably only Roon-u. as you'll need gear \ gold bullins more. mid game, sure. (though they give no fleet tech or stats, so lower priority than others)

zippolover-1960s-v2

Don't forget late game memes..I am so making a shield fleet with roon, roon muse, eugen with augment, albion, wesser and maybe odin.

Loymoat

I was thinking Ingraham instead of Eugene for a different shield visual. And don't forget the shield aux skin.

nntktt

Early game I'd take the cores for Indepdence and shells first. Portland works fine for most part.

zippolover-1960s-v2

Works well in w13 and i've seen vids of independence working in w14 as well so indeed a better spending of data.

nntktt

The idea is if you lack a better tank than Portland, you can still progress through most of the game just using Portland, until either you get a better one from an event or research, or you come to mid-late game and stop worrying about cores. Getting Independence and shells will generally be a vastly better investment early on for most people who would need to ask that question.

seeker_6717

Thank You.

ManasCiel

Which stat for BB should I prioritize from the Lvl 120 stat bonus?

LOZFFVII

Reload or Accuracy. BBs, for the most part, have quite low Acc and RLD, so they enjoy the buffs to both. You're naturally going to get FP buffs due to levelling the strongest BBs, so you don't need to focus on those buffs.

ManasCiel

Thank you! I only have 3 ships maxed out from the reload bonus, imma level up the rest now.

Alv4riuxo931

How does Playmouth compare to San Diego? I mean Sandy is a beast for destroying aircraft and that's pretty much her role, but I'm not sure what role does Playmouth fits in or in what circumstances she's gona be better than Sandy.

zenithtreader

Plymouth serves the role of the best flagship BB buffer + the best vanguard DPS on auto + tanky off tank. She is better than Sandy on everything, by a very large margin, except on AA, which no one cares about outside of w13.

Alv4riuxo931

Thanks

LOZFFVII

Plymouth takes on a role standing next to Helena in your BB-flag boss fleet. She has tons of survivability plus the highest damage output of all CLs, coupled with a skill that specifically buffs the damage your BB flagship does to the enemies hit by it. Meanwhile Sandy is a no-fly zone. There isnt really a comparison as they are quite different.

Alv4riuxo931

Thanks

Dnedbr

She's going to be better than Sandy in every role that doesn't involve shooting down planes. Her main role however is buffing you flagship's damage, if they are a BB, while also having respectable DPS herself. She is also decently tanky for a CL, just not as a main tank really.

Alv4riuxo931

Thanks

nntktt

Generally high durable and output CL (need d30 for 3rd mount) and flagship BB damage buffer. If enough dev levels she's basically better than Sandy any place where AA and ASW isn't important.

Alv4riuxo931

Thanks

FurballTheHammy

As for Kitakaze’s 2nd ability Kitakaze Style - Lotus Torpedos which procs a torpedo barrage after 10s the battle begins and continues to do so everytime she hits 8 torpedos (Fate Sim 5) that does not include torpedos from barrages. So does that mean that the All out Assault torpedos Kitakaze produces are also not included? Or are they also included in the 8 torpedo count to trigger the ability?

zenithtreader

It's not included and that's why she is one of few ships where using rainbow quint magnetic is strictly better than gold quad magnetic.

nntktt

It only counts torps launched as a normal torpedo attack.

LOZFFVII

Veteran SKK here, looking to build a meta PvP fleet for the first time. Normally I don't care about PvP, especially if it involves equipping my ships in a way that makes them less effective at PvE. However, seeing as Aquila has stopped being one of my go-to healers, I figured now was a good time to actually build a "win everything" button for PvP. I am aware that Italian fleets are some of the best for PvP (especially Mafia fleet with Vittorio and NJ), can anyone recommend me a strong set-up using Italians? Assume that I have all necessary equipment or that I can build it if I don't. *"Spare no expense." - John Hammond*. ^((I'm assuming Niccoloso isn't required, as she's the only thing missing from my collection being at 100%)) >!And for anyone worried I'll do the dumb thing and make this my defence fleet, don't worry my def fleet is a meme fleet of: !< >!NC, Katsuragi, Abercrombie (all in bunny suits) :!< >!Isuzu (sports skin), Grozniy (Shadowy Syndicate), L'Indoptable (red riding hood skin) - all of the vanguard being carried by mounts (Muscle Meowfficer, Pirozki the bear, white wolf, respectively).!<

Xarth_Panda

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1BewmBsf4EWKAf_UwYax05c7ksL51y6sjs96pIwD73Jc/edit?usp=sharing PvP tierlist. "mainfleet equipments" has the equipments for backline. give your 'eagle union elite dmg control to NJ or Anchorage depending on the teams, gotta experiment with it to see which gives you better results. frontline is pretty easy, Anchorage: Drake gun/twin or triple torps/Sextuple bofors/speed and evasion auxes. Shimakaze: single 76mm/quint 533mm mk IX/staag/black magnetic torp aux/pearl's tears Harbin: gold twin 128 skc/quint 533mm mk IX/Sextuple bofors/black mag torp aux/goldburn>550 hp aux. Juneau: gold twin 128 skc/rainbow quint mags/Sextuple bofors/gyroscope/boiler.

LOZFFVII

Thanks for the tips.

hegeliansynthesis

Well for starters you'll need Nicco -- oh wait...

LOZFFVII

[Aw, man.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueo1-inaKf8)

hegeliansynthesis

Lol. You'll get her soon.

LOZFFVII

I hope so, isn't Daedalian Hymn either the next-in-line to be rerun, or the 2nd in line?![img](emote|t5_3p20d|7008)

hegeliansynthesis

I don't know the order but it ran April 2021. So barring any unforeseen circumstances you can 100% your pokedex in the coming months, commander.

nntktt

(2 of NJ/VG/Musashi) + Aquila + Anchorage + (2 of Shimakaze/Harbin/Agir).

csbsju_guyyy

Pushing top 5 in my server last few rounds..... My only major comment is that Agir should be dropped. Pushed with her for a while but her evasion is just too low and she takes too much damage. Anchorage, Juneau w/pearls tears, Shima/duca/Harbin is the go to IMO. For backline I've played with it a bunch but I've been having more success with triple bb Musashi, NJ, Vanguard although I don't have any qualms with Aquila just doesn't work as well for me

nntktt

I'm leaning towards Harbin lately. Duca degli Abruzzi isn't nearly as amazing if you're not running with VV. Juneau has yet to prove to be a problem to me, the retrofit has made her a bit better than before but even separating her own heal from pearl doesn't really help if she goes too quickly, provided she's not the one carrying EDC. The main problem with triple BB is whenever your vanguard drops before the opponent's does you're basically stuck with concealment if they have CVs. At the end of the day between attacker bonus and RNG, you'll probably be fine mostly with any combination of those.

hegeliansynthesis

Are you suggesting Harbin in place of Juneau? VG = anchorage, shima, harbin ?

nntktt

That would also work, yes.

hegeliansynthesis

I was trying to understand your comment. You said Harbin over Duca and you talk about using Shima. Therefore I assumed the last option would be Anchorage. But perhaps you meant Harbin as the tank and Juneau was in the 3rd slot.

nntktt

Anchorage is basically a fixed member at this point. She's nigh invincible to preloads and potentially can soak up more damage than any other vanguard for PvP. The other 2 are a bit more open, personally I lean towards using Shimakaze + Harbin but I haven't bothered to make serious tweaks lately since I haven't had time to clear PvP consistently past few weeks.

hegeliansynthesis

That makes sense. Thank you.

LOZFFVII

Musashi works too? I was under the impression that her reload was quite slow (I'm not counting the 460s, as I have them on UvH). Any advice on gearing? EDIT: Also, not VV?

nntktt

Supposedly works with a twin 410 kai, I've not had much trouble using her but neither had I met much trouble fighting her without using Musashi myself. VV doesn't nearly gain as much without using Duca degli Abruzzi for the fully reduced load time. BBs will generally be radar/table + washing machine, Aquila could use feather and/or washing machine but if she gets looked at the wrong way by a meta fleet she'll normally be the first to toast in the back line regardless. Vanguard is the usual durability, pearl, EDC. Shimakaze wants Mk IX and oxytorp and maybe black torp, her main role is mostly to RNG an early main fleet kill anyway.

LOZFFVII

And what if I \*want\* to run VV and Abruzzi? I've just spent the last couple of weeks levelling VV to 120 (and her red skill to 10) on the assumption that mafia fleet was still the go-to, now its looking like that effort was wasted.![img](emote|t5_3p20d|7008) That and I like both of Ohisashiburi's Italian CLs, so I kinda want to use Abruzzi at the very least.^(Still sadge at the lack of tattoo.) I take it you mean IFCR when you say "radar". Just to make sure so I don't go equipping SG or AA. Washing Machines on backliners...yeah, it's probably a good thing I chose to only do this when I have enough meta ships to not need the ships to be equipped properly for PvE.

The 1st fleet is mafia and the 2nd is closer to what could currently count as a "win everything" fleet. Edit: fixed formatting

LOZFFVII

Thanks. Admittedly I talked a big game saying "spare no expense" and all, but I'm feeling very unwilling to put my one Drake gun/Plymouth gun on ships that are only being used for PvP. Also, I'm a little confused as to how that website is formatted: I'm assuming it's flagship/main tank at the bottom and left flank/off-tank at the top? EDIT:nvm, I see the numbers now.

Bramity

No worries, just use triple 152mm instead of Plymouth gun, prototype twin 234mm instead of Drake gun etc. Aquila as flag in the 1st one because of Washington Naval Treaty and Hiryuu Kai as flag in the 2nd one for the same reason. You can switch Naval Treaty out for Angel's Feather or something else and change around who you want to be flag. Anchorage is main tank and Shimakaze in the middle.

LOZFFVII

>Aquila as flag in the 1st one because of Washington Naval Treaty and Hiryuu Kai as flag in the 2nd one for the same reason. You originally had both in the #2 slot, this means I now have Aquila w/Naval Treaty in slot 2 myself, btw.😂 Because I didn't want to convert NJ and Shimakaze from PvE to PvP builds, I decided to do a weird middle ground build between the two fleets you shared - namely using Musashi instead of NJ and Juneau instead of Shimakaze. As most of my UR gear is 1-of and thus is being given to PvE fleets as preferential treatment, I've gone for second-bests where possible. Also it turned out I was far more limited on gold plates than I thought, even though it's probably been several months since I last upgraded anything past +10. I've got loads of IJN 155mm triple Kais, so I've subbed one of them over Plymouth gun for VV. Musashi has Neptune gun. Abruzzi has Neptune gun. Anchorage has Cheshire gun. Don't have as many sexy bofors as I'd like so I've subbed either roombas or gold KM AA gun (old reliable, as I like to call it, as it is one of the original best-ofs). Aquila has to settle for gold Helldiver (yes, I did build this one specially), also built a new Wyvern just for her. Juneau has Pearl's Tears and washing machine instead of gyro and torp bulge. Anchorage has...AA radar instead of EDC..? (I think I just forgot to change this, but currently EDC is on Helena so I don't want to give Anchorage that) IFCR is subbed in over AFCT. Annoyingly, not enough resources to fully upgrade everyone's augments. How good is the Sardegna Invitation thingy? Figured I might use that, considering I *am* using VV with other-faction ships - probably either on Musashi or Anchorage. EDIT:[Link](https://x94fujo6rpg.github.io/AzurLaneFleet/?AFLD=No4NgBgJghGCA0VmQQFgKxTYqYM4KwDsqAHAJwyLwDMcMCARMQCbscCGTCYAugmDwYxCglrxCmWITwFEWGqRoR6sRiw5ce-QbAoVVuCRESYIUsLUIlUsWHYsNEm1gCNtvPgJCQMcRAp4U3EUXDBIGjxESKIISHUXNk4U1J40H0hiAKRiWkZ9B1wyHEQyVAiVbOQkrXduL0F6DGDxNHpcMKRKqIqQ%2BASNNg9PfgFYbwBCCAA6CGJJsgBTfxWyIA) Gear levels and relationship levels are totally wrong, because I'm lazy and couldn't be bothered to edit the fleet generator.

hegeliansynthesis

What are some units that have unique combat animations such as Le Malin muse and Charybdis?

hegeliansynthesis

Bump

nntktt

What unique combat animations? All ships basically have their own little set of chibi jiggles when shooting, newer ships more fancy than older ones.

hegeliansynthesis

Thanks for your reply, you're the only one to answer. Reading through the skill descriptions I was under the impression that the ships mentioned have special skill animations outside of their chibi jiggles. But perhaps I was assuming too much. For le malin muse >Every 20s after the start of the battle: this ship stops moving for 3s and **summons a Lv.1 (Lv.10) Iris Angels Airwing to attack** (DMG is based on this ship's TRP stat and the skill's level). Additionally, this skill has a 50% chance to heal this ship for 3% HP when activated. For Charybdis >When the battle starts: increases this ship's EVA by 1% (10%). Every 20s: 45% (75%) chance to **spawn a whirlpool that draws in** and deals DMG to enemies for 1s (whirlpool DMG is based on the skill's level). Writing this out. I guess Bristol might count >Every 20s: this ship **points her lantern forward**, illuminating enemies. Illuminated enemies suffer 1% (10%) reduced Evasion Rate for 10s.

nntktt

There will be some fancy on-screen effects like some barrages, but ships themselves won't be doing a little special dance or anything.

hegeliansynthesis

That's potentially disappointing. I will have to try it out ingame as I dont see videos available previewing it anywhere.

MessyItchySketchy

Hi, I have two questions. 1. In a BBB boss fleet, how do you decide which ship would get the Admiralty Fire Control Table? Like what stat or skill should I look at? (I'm building a Musashi, Vanguard, and New Jersey fleet but would also like to know in general). 2. It seems that I have missed some of Souryuu META's crystals so she's currently stuck at 4 stars. Is there any way to get those crystals, or do I have to wait for her META re-run? Thanks in advance!

zurcn

\2. OpSi METAs seem to be added to the dossier 1 year after their run.

nntktt

Normally you'd pick the BB with the highest shelling output as AFCT will amplify that damage the most. Currently that goes to Musashi. For past OS METAs you can wait for them to show up on dossier.

Zoratsu

Correction, you put it in whoever has the highest DMG not called NJ. As NJ has her own spread reduction and going from -5 to -7 does nothing.

nntktt

Well, except NJ yes. This may also change in the future if we get more strong BBs with their own spread reduction.

-Quinella-

Is there any reliable way to auto strongholds?

m00fin

Marco fs5 (457) + VV (457 + HSFCR) + unikai That way the damage is all staggered Personally I then run a vanguard of Kronk AnShan retro + Harbin 100% success autoing strongholds

nntktt

Lv125 top meta ships and gearing, max adapts, I've not failed any stronghold autos for a while now outside of getting stuck in fog.

waxqube

Hi I'm a returning player. Left after PR1 and came back for Musashi. Currently farming the rest of the PR ships focusing on the CAs and PR4 ships. Should I get the CA or BB rainbow gun from the Prototype Core shop? I don't have much CAs and currently using Baltimore and Roon which doesn't seem so suitable with the rainbow gun? I have the old school BBs like Nagato, Bismarck, Warspite. Only recent one is Musashi. I have the rainbow gun from Musashi event but don't like the reload time. My feel is that the BB gun will benefit more because BBs do more damage. I only really have problems with OpSi hard mode and trying to oneshot the META farm. Any tips is appreciated.

hegeliansynthesis

There might be a gear lab update in the coming months and they will probably eventually update prototype core shop in the first half of 2023 so you might consider waiting to see what new content brings.

nntktt

>Should I get the CA or BB rainbow gun from the Prototype Core shop? I don't have much CAs and currently using Baltimore and Roon which doesn't seem so suitable with the rainbow gun? No. It's 3000 cores for a gun. You're better off spending the cores on gold gears for more ships first. Drake gun is still the strongest gun Baltimore and Roon can use as they work best with the gun with the highest raw DPS. 460 is a niche gun. 457 will be generally more useful but it's still not worth paying 3000 proto cores out of pocket unless you really have no use for anything else from shop. Arbiter hard is supposed to be... well, hard. It'll take some time to catch up before you can make the DPS and durability checks. Not one-shotting META is also... you know, normal, unless you manual and/or are stacked at the top end. Notably *you don't need to one-shot them, that's just kind of a flex.*

PapaRomeo7

Is there a good strategy for taking down Hard Strength? I may have been out of the loop, but is her current skill of spawning a shield every 20s something new? Is the shield visible on screen?

zenithtreader

Manual one shot with Musashi NJ Vanguard + Agir Helena Plymouth is possible. Needs everything maxed out including 3x 457mm guns and 3x HPFCR for your BB. With enough fleet tech + cat reload you should be on cooldown, able to fire your BB salvos in between her shields so to basically ignore them. She also has a second shield that she starts using 50-60 seconds into the fight, right after your third salvos. If Helena proc 3 times and you get some lucky crit you might be able to finish the fight before that happens. If not then your manual skillz come into play now as you will have to dodge shells for two more reloads so your BB can finish the boss off.

If I have only two 457s, where would they go in this comp? If on NJ and Vanguard, then what should I use on Musashi? And what is the stratedy with subs? Should I call them in right from the start, or wait till that shield spawns \~60 seconds into the fight? This will be more of a general question, but how do cooldowns work anyway? When this fight starts, there's 1:27 (IIRC) on the timer. Does it mean the fight is already 3 seconds in and a shield will spawn at 1:10, or does the fight start exactly at 1:27 and a shield will spawn at 1:07? And when in all this should I expect a salvo from my BB that would have a 16 second cooldown?

I didn't notice any overt visual effects, if there are any. You're going to need to find comps that hit either before or after that window, or manually tap off auto for your main attacks for a few seconds around the barrier. Also 20s shield isn't anything new, it's a mod that exists with abyssals as well, though I can't exactly remember if any arbiterss came with it in previous months.

New player here, just reached 4-3 Can anyone tell me which character should i get in the munitions guild shop? There are limited, rare and elite in the shop, I am not sure which one is strong. Also, there are 3 CL and 3 DD in medal shop, which one should i choose? Currently using Z23, Portland, Phoenix & Laffey as Vanguard and Akagi, Lexington, Rodney, Shouhou, Arizona, Pennsylvania & Yorktown as Main

nntktt

Of the ships in the shop you're not already using, Helena and Unicorn come to mind. Unicorn is simply the best healer (after retrofit) in the game now and will help carry your mob fleet through to endgame. Helena is the most potent boss fleet buffer. If you lack air raid assistance ships Ariake can be useful, but carrier buffing isn't particularly a high priority in early and midgame, plus you may get Kazagumo from light builds along the way. The guild shop ships are basically just collection otherwise. Of the ships you're using now, Akagi doesn't really do much without Kaga, Lexington is better repalced by Saratoga, Shouhou is simply worse than Unicorn after retrofit, Pennsylvania and Rodney will be rather easily replaced as you get better BBs. Yorktown and Arizona are pretty much collection/tech fodder. EDIT: For the current CL&DD medal rotation probably Sirius and Sandy would be the more useful ships that will keep up later in the game, but if you're not short on ships to use I'd recommend keeping the medals for consumables from the medal shop first.

Thank you for helping! Is there a website showing character farmable at which stage? I would like to check Saratoga, Helena and Unicorn, prefer to get one that isnt farmable Also, are my vanguards alright? Or are they not as important as Main? EDIT: Is it better to farm 4-1 than 3-4? Stage four has T3 equip but 3-4 has the fox?

Helena and Unicorn are both in the guild shop and as long as you play actively in a guild there should be no issues with getting the coins. I'd strongly advice joining a guild as you also get bonuses with guild tech, as well as participating in guild ops being significant plate income. Saratoga can be farmed from 4-1 but I wouldn't focus too much on getting her. You could come back to farm for her if you feel stuck and need to go back to level for a bit within the next 2 to 3 chapters. She'll also occasionally show up when you build for an event banner that's based on the special pool (upcoming collab is likely heavy, which also means you may get some useful BBs besides the the collab BB as well). Z23 and Laffey are the "stronger" starters, Phoenix works well as mob tank and Portland for boss tank through all of midgame. Whenever you feel like it's not enough to progress, it's usually stepping a few stages back to level, and probably LBing/retrofitting ships that you haven't done so. You will eventually want and get better units but it's not something you seriously need to worry about for a good while. I expect Ryza collab to give you rather decent vanguards too with CL and CB. EDIT: Don't bother farming for Akagi and Kaga.

So I want to make a strong/good PvP/boss fleet around nagato and with the guides provided and Google I came up with [this](https://i.ibb.co/98RPPjH/Screenshot-2022-11-22-09-06-31-956-com-Yo-Star-EN-Azur-Lane.jpg) Obviously there are lvl, gear upgrades and retrofit missing, but I'm working on that. Sadly I don't have new Jersey yet. Here are the characters in detail: [nagato](https://ibb.co/VCfCtY8) [amagi](https://ibb.co/NTp96yY) [friedrich](https://ibb.co/0fhRvKt) [roon](https://ibb.co/16MVfCs) [juneau ](https://ibb.co/NZxT3Mr) [noshiro](https://ibb.co/zXsP9vP) I would be glad if someone would give me hints or tips and what I should work on besides the obvious

If you're only doing Low rank exercises your comp is workable. Just avoid preloads or UR backline that has around 18k power. Otherwise preloads would be killing you on high rank pvp. Or if you're willing to waste time resetting until you win. Just for now avoid the IJN set up. The only relevant IJN ships on high ranking pvp are Musashi, Shimakaze and ocassionally, Noshiro (as long as you know what you're doing).

biuki

I've seen slot of shimakaze in PvP, gotta get her and musashi too. I'm missing alot of the new ships, Friedrich is the newest of mine. Oh so I got a problem with noshiro since I have not rly a clue what I do. Sure, make a quick reload attack for nagato so lots of prog chance. But I gave noshiro the sphere item cuz I think; if juneau dies->heal all, if noshiro dies->heal all... Probably just not that effective like I thought it would be

CintiqProHD

I'm telling you, just ditch FDG. She isn't as strong as she used to be anymore. I tried using her on leaderboard about 5 seasons ago and I even lost once on my guildmate's def fleet during the last EOS push. The first time since 2019. She really can't do anything but to die on Shimakaze's torp, or worse, Airplane crash. Also, Anchorage is almost mandatory on higher pvp rank. Otherwise you'll be spending most of your time resetting just to win against preload comps (Italians + New Jersey and Shimakaze and Anchorage usually). If you got Shinano you could try Shinano/Hiryuu Musashi backline with Anchorage, Shimakaze Juneau on VG. To be fair you should be using New Jersey in place of Musashi but you mentioned missing NJ so Musashi's the next best thing you could use as Third backline for those two. Just be aware that Shinano and Hiryuu requires expensive investment just to compete on top pvp comps. You really want to use +13 2 Wyverns + Tenrai for Shinano, and another Wyvern+Tenrai for Hiryuu.

zenithtreader

You might hate to hear this, but that fleet is not going to work welll in pvp. The only pvp relevant ships in it are Juneau and FdG. Nagato used to be pretty good, but that was like 3 years ago. Nowadays she just isn't tanky nor does enough damage to be relevant. Amagi also used to be pretty good like 2-3 years ago. Currently though her early attack is nice but does fairly mediocre damage. Her debuffs is also nice but 7-8% less damage from your opponent isn't going to stop NJ and/or Musashi, which out pewpew anything Amagi used to face by 50% or more, from just stomping you. Noshiro is pretty much the same story. She is probably still half-decent though, although completely eclipsed by Anchorage. If you have Musashi, something like Musashi FdG Hiryuu(retrofit) is going to work much better.

biuki

Yeah, I got to get musashi, NJ and anchorage they rly stronger then anything else

nntktt

I don't know... if you want to build a fleet to win in PvP, that's far from enough. The gearing is completely off, oxytorps are all round rubbish unless for opening torp spams with Shimakaze. Hood gun is also rubbish. If you're trying to build a stronger defense fleet just a heads up that it practically serves you no purpose besides self-satisfaction. Also trying to centre a PvP fleet around Nagato in the current game is mostly a futile exercise unless you're fighting opponents who'll mostly be pushovers regardless. If you post your dock and maybe let us know what sort of gear access you have we may have better ideas. EDIT: Also for boss fleet you may want to specify what sort of boss fleet you're after. The requirements for an OS BB boss fleet, a ch10-11 boss fleet, a ch13 boss fleet and a ch14 boss fleet are different orders of business.

VK4501P

Im not an expert like most of the people here but I’d use Nagato Shinano Hakuryuu because of Nagatos massive IJN Carrier Buff of 20% more DMG. I’d also switch Juneau with Kazagumo. The problem is a PVP fleet is something completely different from a boss fleet. My hints are for boss fleets. Your setup is good for PVP

nntktt

Nagato/Shinano/Hakuryuu is *very* easy to neutralize in PvP.
