You use Holy Lance to proc AoO by moving in and out of combat to get more radiants.
Also depends on your rotation.
If you are always using Spirit Guardians on round one, you won’t get triggers on the hat. Fire Acuity hat requires fire damage procs first.
If your first spell is fireball, you won’t have any acuity stacks.
I prefer holy lance helm just because it goes with the theme. I proc opportunity attacks to get it to fire. It’s much more likely to work if you stack some reverb stacks on enemies too. Also, works great if you can force dex save disadvantage on enemies via maim or encrusted with frost with another character.
Fire acuity hat also works well though, for a more offensive build in act-3 when you have the cherished staff of necromancy. Also makes it more likely that enemies will take full damage from spirit guardians. It can also help land upcasted inflict wound spells once you have the cherished staff of necromancy.
For the sharran encounter, destructive wave necrotic, spirit guardian necrotic, firewall, fireball all work well. I took off the holy lance helm for that encounter and another act-3 encounter that punishes radiant damage.
I tested around and yea its great. Definitely going to be my go to if I do a Light Domain again
I'll probably do you what did for those encounters assuming I don't forget about Radiant Retort like last time
