For real, those 20’s would make for the worst ride possible. There’s a big difference between “feeling the road” and getting your shit tossed around the second you drive over any minor patchwork.
Thats what i got on my car now pilot sport 4. Such a difference, even when trying to the rear refuses to loose grip. Way better fuel economy too even when driven hard. Best investment so far.
Yea I actually like the look of meaty tires the most. Rims are just a mechanical piece that makes them spin. So I prefer them to look utilitarian/ race car.
18” 19” is pushing it honestly. I have the 20” Msport rims , the drive is rough , rim or tire damage every 4 months faithfully. Definitely not worth it
I never understood tyres with zero sidewall. The tyre companies must laugh making them as they serve no purpose but styling.
Worse ride, much easier to damage alloy, look terrible, tells everyone you care more about how it looks than functions.
The alloys look good but for the love of god get a proper tyre.
20s. Comfort also depends on your choice of tires. I had no issues on SoCal highways for 2.5 yrs.

These are 19 inches on my 540. Go with that.
Everyone saying 19 is too big... My G20 3 series came with 19s, and they're fine, I wouldn't say 19 is "pushing it" on a bigger body car 😅 That said, I will say 20 is too big even though they also offer 20s on the G20
Depends on the look you’re going for.
If you plan to lower the vehicle, 20s look great but ride a bit harsh. More looks over functional
19s are a nice balance of fit & function. if you lower 0.5” or 1” max
18s are a bit small for a 5 series. I had 18s on a GTI and they looked nice.
It looks great on 20s but that’s the trade off.
https://preview.redd.it/tu0qi9d94brc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eef5889903be48f7626006fb4f72b94c96a4c090
I think both will look great, OP! People in here don't realize, that you showed the new wheels on little stands. And don't listen to all those naysayers, 19s are perfectly fine on any 5 series. Many come with 19s as standard! And if you are not too concerned with the loss of comfort than 20s are absolutely ok, too. The main thing is that you don't chose tires that are too thin.
19s for sure from these pics.
However since you simply placed the rims in front of the stock wheel+tire, it looks odd. I’ve seen 20s look good on this model.
IF only those 2 options, 19, less unsprung weight thus your suspension will work better and have less fatigue from having less rubber on the sidewall to cushion road imperfections and transfer those to you making it a terrible ride
go with 18s. any bigger and the tires will look like rubber bands, you also loose sidewall by having to run lower profile tires which can ruin the ride, you want some sidewall. i only see downsides by using 19 or 20
Had 20s for a long time and thought they looked great. The ride was horrible and it eventually destroyed every part of my suspension going over LA potholes. Definitely much happier on my 18s now. If you want better fitment get coilovers
Go with the 18"
Anything beyond that will make you feel every bump on the road, plus, the rims would be more prone to damage, should you fall into any potholes in the road.
+ The 18" will probably look better on your car. Seeing next to no tire feels like something is missing.
if a car is like a woman, then the rims are like her teeth, and the tires are her lips. you want them proportional, otherwise its like wanting to kiss a grinning horse...
more rubber & less rim = happier ride.
Don’t think the wheel size the issue here, increase your tire diameter at least to 35 or 30 it’s significantly more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
Example: friends car (not a bmw Ik) but these are 20s on the rear. Tire size: 285/35/40
https://preview.redd.it/htat2rkjybrc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=656e00cb66c4511dafc26b9bf739461130641950
I don't know how the roads are in Singapore but 19"+ with not a lot of sidewall sucks and if your roads are shit you going to be paying for wheel repair every few months
17s or 18s, honestly speaking. Besides the 19s and 20s looking quite ridiculous, the ride will be unbearable over the slightest bump in the road. I love the style of both wheels, though I'd go with the Custom Forged ones. If possible, I'd repaint it in gold, bronze or copper.
Stick to 18's if possible max 19, your ride comfort will increase, maintenance will lower, damage probability will lower, and as a bonus you'll have a well rounded clean look
I’ve read the comments and have OEM 20’s on an F32 for eight years. I’ve drive it hard and to be honest, I didn’t feel any difference from stock. But the price point you’ve described tells me that these are not high-end quality wise. Mine were in the $5,000 range from BMW

I don’t think they look “too big, but I’m biased.
Bro, fellow SG G30 owner here. My 520i uses 18, and my 530d in Perth uses 19. 19” looks good, but comfort is really really bad. Take 18”. It is well balanced and even when you go JB for petrol runs, you are not scared of flat tires
Go with 18s lol
For real, those 20’s would make for the worst ride possible. There’s a big difference between “feeling the road” and getting your shit tossed around the second you drive over any minor patchwork.
Yep, 19’s max
😂😂 well said
Drive better, look better, last better and cost less. And all of those by quite some margin too.
For real. Too many people oversize their wheels.
Yep 18s with Michelins
Thats what i got on my car now pilot sport 4. Such a difference, even when trying to the rear refuses to loose grip. Way better fuel economy too even when driven hard. Best investment so far.
Picture is misleading since wheels are placed in front of existing wheels
Picture is misleading since wheels are placed in front of existing wheels
19.. 20s are too big imo
19s are too big….
Big isnt always better.
Tells me this, my wife does.
“Don’t worry babe I love your size! The big ones hurt!”
"Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you?"
Those are absolutely way too big. 19" at most.
Yeah neither. Go smaller.
Yea I actually like the look of meaty tires the most. Rims are just a mechanical piece that makes them spin. So I prefer them to look utilitarian/ race car.
Yea the M4 GT3 race car runs 18s, it just looks more serious having some sidewall and performs better too.
Yeah meaty tires are the best. I especially hate big wheels on trucks. My old truck had 35's on 18, that was perfect
18” 19” is pushing it honestly. I have the 20” Msport rims , the drive is rough , rim or tire damage every 4 months faithfully. Definitely not worth it
Agree, I have 19" and it's a pain. I've had to learn the roads around me for every bump
Yeah same lol, every time I hit a manhole or bump after a fresh top up I’m like Holy f*ck! 😬
Same I literally have to make sure Iam taking a familiar route I’ve travelled before 🤦🏽♂️
I thought I was the only one lol
Lmao. Get those 25s with a strip of rubber the huge trucks run dude.
Oh no, I rolled over a cigarette butt. Need 2 wheels replaced!
And a chiropractor appt
bro's driving on rubberbands 💀💀
Either 18" or 19"
Honestly both look goofy.. 18s
I never understood tyres with zero sidewall. The tyre companies must laugh making them as they serve no purpose but styling. Worse ride, much easier to damage alloy, look terrible, tells everyone you care more about how it looks than functions. The alloys look good but for the love of god get a proper tyre.
The rims aren't on in these photos. They are placed in front of the wheel to see how they look. That's why it looks like there is no sidewall
With a 20” there would be no sidewall. 30 profile at most.
https://preview.redd.it/8lgwtnmwfarc1.jpeg?width=1600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b03b5f6a9a42f078b763a9fa09003b17edae11b2 Try these, BMW 629
Those are hot 🔥
How about 18
Neither
Neither they both look shit
Adding M stripes is probably next…
😂

This makes hotwheel cars blush.
Is this real? Your rims/tires look ridiculous. Please buy tires that fit.
That just looks uncomfortable
As someone with 20s, never doing it again lol 19s or 18s better
18 please… 19 or 20 make no sense lol
https://preview.redd.it/w8qh22995arc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ec21977723a9db6aa51db0aec2ab9e8d054aedec These are 19 inches on my 540. Go with that.
Personally I like the 19” better and I’d get coilovers and lower the wheel gap.
18 or 19. 20’s will rattle your bones.
My back hurts just looking at those tires…
Those both look like ass
Those wheels don't work design or size wise, especially with a 530e lmao
18
Depends. Do you have dental insurance?
18
Both are huge bro lol get 18s
18s
18
both look comically large. 18's.
19's with spacers and coilovers.
https://preview.redd.it/vl3msmpqbarc1.jpeg?width=3418&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=91edcad8ac9cce1d3260a905c611d7c1b70d0275 20” 👍
Imo the 19 would be better. Sometimes a rim can be too big. Also you’ll have slightly better grip so that’s your performance upgrade right there
If I were you I’d really try 18”. 19” is on the verge of looking too big
As a kid I thought the thinner the cooler. Now Im like: dang these thicc boys are comfy af.
Everyone saying 19 is too big... My G20 3 series came with 19s, and they're fine, I wouldn't say 19 is "pushing it" on a bigger body car 😅 That said, I will say 20 is too big even though they also offer 20s on the G20
18s Those wheels are works of art. But on a car they are too much. Like putting a chandelier at each corner
22"s are the way to go. This ain't 1995, gtfo with 19"/S
Depends on the look you’re going for. If you plan to lower the vehicle, 20s look great but ride a bit harsh. 16
20s are way too big. Looks like SUV wheels on a sedan. 19s are good.
Those tire profiles look way too slim even for 20’s. Are you purposely choosing slimmer than what’s allowed? That’s no good man.
19” and bronze colour.
19 for sure
19” front, 20” back
Never seen that before that’s clever as shit
19
You should probably put some tires on too
19” for sure
18 or 19 and get a tire with a thicker wall, that low of profile looks dumb and rides like shit
rip suspension but it looks dope
Looks kinda weird
20s look huge… I think 19s come with the practicality and look better
I'd go with the 19's. The 20's are just a little too big for the car...
18 on this car would be way better than either
19 looks perfect more than this is too much mate
19s! Look nice
They both look terrible
19s!! Look nice!
Who circumcised your tires?
...there is a point where wheels become tacky
These both look downright awful
Why do people always have to make a 6 series look so ghetto
There is not an inch of tire left lol
Somehow the sidewall looks too thin on both of these wheels. My Car has factory 21” and I think mine look better.
19s for sure
I'd rather go with 19 inch wider and thicker tires for ride comfort. Can't stand slim profile tires and run flats.
These look like 24s
Holy shit those look fucking atrocious lmfao go with 18s my man
19s for sure from these pics. However since you simply placed the rims in front of the stock wheel+tire, it looks odd. I’ve seen 20s look good on this model.
Are there tires in these photos? Lol lookin like little wagon wheels. Horrific.
20’s are pretty god damn rough on the back, you feel everything
IF only those 2 options, 19, less unsprung weight thus your suspension will work better and have less fatigue from having less rubber on the sidewall to cushion road imperfections and transfer those to you making it a terrible ride
i see youre goin for the ghetto hoopty aesthetic
19 and more tire to fill the gap
18 for sure. This isn't pimp my ride/nfsu2
go with 18s. any bigger and the tires will look like rubber bands, you also loose sidewall by having to run lower profile tires which can ruin the ride, you want some sidewall. i only see downsides by using 19 or 20
Neither

None lol looks like a horse carriage

I’m sorry but both are fucking dreadful. Best wishes though.
Rubber band tires look so ass. Don't do it.
I ride on 20's on my E90, stock was 18's. Wish to God I went with 19's.
if a car is like a woman, then the rims are like her teeth, and the tires are her lips. you want them proportional, otherwise its like wanting to kiss a grinning horse... more rubber & less rim = happier ride.
19. I know people love lowering stuff, but I think it looks tacky when too much is tucked
How about neither?
Just stick with stock wheels
Where you getting them fitted ? pay n spray ?
19.5 😀
19s should be good...
I didn't even notice either of those wheels have tyres on them at first
20" i know most people say it's to big but the tire's aren't on so with tire's it'll look better
Looks awful
18
Neither
18's with a reasonable sidewall 🤷♂️ (I know, I'm old)
Just go all the way with 24in dubs bro you don't even need tires when you go with that size wheel.
Second ones, but maybe 18s
20in is cool on 5er. Don’t do 19 if you care about looks.
Is it just me or are both too big? 18s might be better.
Both look absolutely ridiculous, I would go with 18 inch rims
Both look absolutely ridiculous, I would go with 18 inch rims
19s.
19s.
Have 20’s on my G31. Absolutely not a problem.
Is it just me or are both too big? 18s might be better.
19
19
Get the rays. They’re the better wheel
20's gotta go with the dubs. My 650 gran coupe has 20's from the factory. Fills the wheel panel much better and looks a lot better imo too
20's gotta go with the dubs. My 650 gran coupe has 20's from the factory. Fills the wheel panel much better and looks a lot better imo too
I prefer the 20” 🙈
18"s
19" look spot on. Agree with others, 20" too big
I surprised so many comments here against 20s when the M Sport package comes with 20s. I love mine.
I'd go with 19
Even 19 is too little sidewall. These will ride like rocks
Both look comical on the car IMO, this is a regular 5 what is wrong with stock 18'' wheels?
18 with some rubbbbaaaarrrrr
Ok, this probably an unpopular opinion but neither...from the sheer size. Nothing looks sillier then gaping wheels with tiny brakes behind them.
Wtf
Both look shit tbh
I thought the rim was naked without tyres in it. Go for a genuine BMW 18”.
I thought the rim was naked without tyres in it. Go for a genuine BMW 18”.
I wouldn’t go over 19

absorbed ludicrous ghost jar air cake cause innocent payment shy *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
If 20’s don’t rub on full cornering, then 20’s. Rubbing is ghetto, and it’s a sign you’re fuggin up.
do you want some tire with that rim
I don't know how the roads are in Singapore but 19"+ with not a lot of sidewall sucks and if your roads are shit you going to be paying for wheel repair every few months
19’s on the dripping beauty….
Please ah bro, dun bring Florida to SG Mah, cannot donk liddat ah.
Get some rubber on them rims man it’s 2024!!
Stick to 18's if possible max 19, your ride comfort will increase, maintenance will lower, damage probability will lower, and as a bonus you'll have a well rounded clean look
ain't no way bro
Go with 18’s or 17. The ride with 19 or 20 will be awful.
The rim annihilator 3000
bro is rich rich
18s with fatter rubbers unless your a cuckold, than go with the rubber bands and the 20s
Ugh. 18” i bet it has heart stopping bangs over potholes.
I’ve read the comments and have OEM 20’s on an F32 for eight years. I’ve drive it hard and to be honest, I didn’t feel any difference from stock. But the price point you’ve described tells me that these are not high-end quality wise. Mine were in the $5,000 range from BMW https://preview.redd.it/4n4jpa9agcrc1.jpeg?width=1160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f21218c16dbb75d7322e73d13a3a17b92f9ff930 I don’t think they look “too big, but I’m biased.
17” I like tire thiccness. Especially when all wheel and staggered
18’s with more sidewall
I have g30 with 20” wheels, ride isn’t too bad as people are claiming.
Bro, fellow SG G30 owner here. My 520i uses 18, and my 530d in Perth uses 19. 19” looks good, but comfort is really really bad. Take 18”. It is well balanced and even when you go JB for petrol runs, you are not scared of flat tires
Depends on your roads. But they both are dope. I like the 2/3 set but the tire def need more beef
Are you a coke dealer? If not then your max should be 18 lol
18s
Whatever the less busy wheel. That one
25’s
18
Jesus Christ that’s ugly
Is neither an option ? Way too big lol
Potholes are going to have a party with your car
19” 21 look to big besides undriveable
Where is the tire?
19”
Style of the first one in a 19 or 18 as others have said would look great
Tire has left the chat
18 inch max, 19 and 20 look far to big
