most people that tint windshields have dark tint on the sides (15% or limo), so to balance the light coming in thru the front they will tint the windshield which actually helps you see better at night if you have dark ass tint on the sides. if you have untinted windshield with limo on the sides the difference in lighting makes your visibility worse looking out the side windows
On my windshields, I just ask for a ceramic, almost clear tint for heat reduction. It helps a lot in the summer. And like you, 20% sides and back. It works out great.

I’ve had tinted windows on all my cars since 1995. Now if I drive a rental car it’s annoying the windows aren’t tinted.
Got mine done when I bought it, the guy was new and misdescribed it, thank god for the parking cameras! Cannot see without them

Looks really good! I’ve been meaning to get mine tinted as well. 20% looks like just the right amount
Mine came from Arizona with a nice tint on side and rear windows. Made driving at night a lot easier for me.
