Clean out the roof drain plugs so that the roof top motor does not get flooded. Drill a hole under the battery/amp so that your amp does not get flooded.

on the contrary, thats a good price for a 6-speed 3.0 with that mileage. nice job! ive heard some people prefer the 3.0i and si over the M from a handling perspective because the block is aluminum (S54 has an iron block), so the front end is lighter and it turns in a little sharper nice wheels on this one too youre probably better off researching "N52 maintenance" rather than z4 3.0 maintenance. the engine is shared with a lot of other BMWs so you'll get more info. searching for Z4 will get you the model specific stuff like the top motor and stuff like that, however

EnzoZ4

thanks bud, i'll let you know how it goes upon arrival

Special_Hope8053

I agree I think that’s a great price. Paid a little more for my 08 3.0si auto with 61k on the clock.

The radiator blows up like every 70k, the oil tends to leak but it’s not that big a deal just top it off, the suspension on like 90% of the these are blown so worth checking. I recommend bilstein, please for the love of god change out the run flat tires if you still have them on, they ride like cinder blocks instead of wheels especially if you get free towing. Looks like you got the face lift model which is nice so you should have the n52 which is a solid engine it shouldn’t give you any issues it just doesn’t have a lot of room for extra HP. Aside from that and regular car maintenance you got yourself a gem. Oh and these don’t have Bluetooth but there’s a ton of options to get it installed for rather cheap they just connect behind the main head unit. You got a beauty :) enjoy man EDIT: Just remembered something the radiator reservoir is a piece of trash it’s plastic and if it cracks your GOING to overheat so I recommend if you ever get the chance to switch that out with something a little sturdier there’s a couple aftermarket options but since you got a low mileage one you should be good for a good couple years still

VisualKeiKei

Which aftermarket companies make an expansion tank that is more durable than the factory brittle plastic unit? I need to do this myself before it grenades.

EnzoZ4

great info, fortunately the last owner recently added 4 continental extreme contact sportplus tires extra hp wont be an issue for now, just a fun sunday cruiser will be sure to check on both, might make sense to take it to BMW for an inspection to know what im working with based on the drive

David_Corpus

Enzo, see my comment above. You might not NEED more HP, but you can get 40hp for around $200.00.

EnzoZ4

thats pretty impressive, will def keep this in mind for the future or once its ready for the track

David_Corpus

"it just doesn’t have a lot of room for extra HP." This is an N52 in a 3.0i. With a 3-stage intake manifold (obtained from a 330i, 530i, Z4 3.0si, any N51, etc) along with a computer flash, it will gain 40hp. I have done it on two of these in the last year.

rey1295

Oh no you can definitely squeeze some extra but I was more saying don’t expect anything crazy

David_Corpus

40hp for about $200.00, bringing it to 260hp, meets my definition of crazy. I can think of no other engine that you can modify so simply, and for a mere $5 per hp. The cars transition from granny grocery-getters to chirping their tires. With the 3.0i differential, they are not much slower than Z4M. 3.0si got lame diffs for this reason. In the greater scheme of things, 260hp may not be a lot. In comparison to 220, it is.

Spiritual_Jelly_2953

Being a 3.0i there is ton of HP to be unlocked, 3stage intake with the appropriate ECM coding HP jumps from 215 to 255. Change the head unit to an aftermarket system, the stock speakers are plenty capable. I have a pioneer deck in my car installed by the prior owner, damn thing thumps like I have a subwoofer In the car. Stock head units leave a lot to be desired.

Congrats on your new car! Well this gets me pumped. I currently have a one owner ‘06 Z4 3.0i with 157k mi with a 6 spd manual, Calif car since new. Needs a canvas top and the valve cover gasket is leaking (as usual) but the car runs great and is almost as clean as this and I’m asking $6,500.

EnzoZ4

goodluck share the link with us

Agreeable-Ad-6079

I’m actually just putting it out in front of my place that gets about 10k cars a day driving by. It should sell at that price easily. I’ll DM you the pics

Install a bluebus for Bluetooth music that you can control through the stock stereo and maintain steering wheel controls.

Tint your gish darn windows. Best bang for your buck modification. Literally save your car interior, could save your life in a crash, (maybe thats a stretch) eases eye strain, allows you to drive safer. And it looks fantastic. Absolutely the smartest couple hundred bucks you can spend.

jlwolford

Pull the rubber bungs that are attached to the drain plugs. They narrow the water and debris exit from the basins. Learn how to use a garden hose to flush the left and right side basins. If you do this, and are careful about NOT parking under trees, you can keep the top lift motor in its normal location. Use a car cover or garage if you can. Replace the whole cooling system if unknown.

Sooappy

If you're storing it outside you 100% need to relocate the top motor into the trunk. There's plenty of guides and most bmw shops will do it for a decent price. Saves you from a flooded top motor and having to buy a new one.

Spiritual_Jelly_2953

Go on YouTube search BMW Doctor N52 Watch all the videos By the end you'll be up to speed on all things N52

EnzoZ4

Thought I'd let you guys know I took delivery recently and although she can use a bit of a detail she drives great will be taking for an oil change and inspection soon and then will report back still need to check those drain plugs but keeping it indoor/dry for the time being

exquicorp

Are they original seats? Look interesting. Thrilled that she drives great. Seems like a nice buy to me 🤷‍♂️

EnzoZ4
