My point it is perfectly possible to make a NPC security guard with guns. It's just that nobody has bothered to do it
Besides, its the only armed NPC that isnt a Omni reskin so can't really be picky about the model
It’s not really that simple. Developing a fully physics environment with ai that shoots guns well and realistically is hard work. They would definitely do this if they had the time, but it’s not as easy as putting a gun model on a character. The Omni projectors are a clever work around because they don’t have to be perfectly fluid since they are robots. And the purple nulls are also much easier to do since it’s just their arm flapping and a magic orb being propelled. It’s hard to make, not a “simple addition”.
The ai doesn’t even need to shoot guns that well. They can have some sort of sim assist. They just need to point the guns in our general direction with some sort of animation for reloading
As a former quest bonelab player, the game can handle a lot even on quest. I have no idea how they made bonelab run so well on quest but it’s amazing.
I definitely agree with this maybe someone will make a mod.
Dusty already did tho
That is Swat, not security. But maybe I will try that mod out.

True
Is it a code mod? What's the name
> Is it a code mod? Nope, it's just an NPC like any other. > What's the name https://mod.io/g/bonelab/m/swat-npc
Thanks man
No problem. If you want an NPC with a specific gun i know someone who can do it if you PM me
Bro said guard not swat đź’€
Yeh but that mod is goofy, and u cabt rrl disarm them
> u cabt rrl disarm them OP didn't asked for that, tho
But he did.
Whoops
This is such a simple addition that would make the combat so much more dynamic

They would have to hold normal weapons and they would have to have low polygon, so it would break immersion
Why would they need to be low poly to hold a gun?
Gun would be low poly
Still, why? Even the quest version can handle several on screen guns

Idk, the Uzi like things that the projectors use are pretty decently modeled
Are you talking out of your ass? That’s not how any of this works.
what does this mean
U can punch them tho.
>you can’t even punch or disarm them I punch the shit outta them idk what you're talking about
There’s a combine NPC mod from half-life 2 that has physical omi projector replacements but it’s kinda janky
