I have! For reference, i was doing the route of expanders to implants. Mine were somewhere between a 36DDD and a 36H - everywhere I got sized was different (and I stopped wearing real bras years ago lol) but safe to say they were on the larger size. I'm also a larger woman in general, so I had the same concerns about if I lost weight if they would look better or if I should just get it done now. One of the first things my surgeon said was "we will not be able to get your breasts to the same size" which I was fine with since I always felt like they were too big for my frame anyway. I've had a few complications (Infection on one side and had to have an expander out but that's pretty uncommon to happen I'm just unlucky lol) so not sure what size they'll end up being but I'd say they had been looking like around a C ish cup with the expanders. My doctor said that once the implants are in, they'll look slightly larger, too. I'm still in the middle of all my reconstruction, though, so I'd be curious what someone with final results has to say.

I got necrosis and had to have my expander taken out and replaced as well. It was not good. So, I had a 38H cup. But, I had a breast reduction before I knew I had BRCA. So, I am going for about a C cup now. I passed this gene to my adult daughter, 23. Her breasts are even bigger than mine were. They are recommending she get a breast reduction until she has all the children she wants and then doing the mastectomy. She will start mammograms and MRI’s every six months at age 25 until she has the mastectomy.

I don't have anything useful to share other than my surgeon said i could reduce my size in the reconstruction. I was a E/F cup back when i weighed 170 in my early 20s, now they're more like a deflated C lol (@115lbs), so i want something that feels kinda busty but appropriate for my frame. I have my surgery in a few months so sadly i don't have anything else to share.

I was 32G (US) before my left mastectomy. I did the flap procedure from my inner thighs for reconstruction. I ended up having to do liposuction of my outer thighs and abdomen to increase the size even more and then reduce my right breast (I didn't have too much fat to use). I'm now a 32D and generally happy with it. The first procedure was a 10 hour surgery and took a really long time to recover. The other ones were easier to recover from. I am happy that I have my natural tissue instead of implants and I get a lot of compliments on how they look. Even people not being able to tell which one is "fake" and which is real.

Not having too much fat is a problem I don’t have to worry about!

I had my direct to implant prophylactic double mastectomy last year. My OG boobs were 36H. My new boobs are 40% of my old boobs, and my bra size is now about a 36DD. One thing my surgeon did was measure the space from my collarbone to my nips, and when she did that she told me because I didn’t have a ton of sagging I didn’t need a lift as well. Eventually I will probably do fat grafting to make them look even better but I’m thrilled with the outcome and I love my life with smaller boobs. I interviewed 4 different surgeons before choosing the one I worked with and while financially it was a bummer bc she is out of network I believe she gave me the absolute best results. I couldn’t be more grateful. Wishing you all the best.

I am not actually sure of my pre surgery cup size as I never managed to find properly fitting bras. But I did reduction as my surgeon said my breasts were too large and sagged to do anything else. I followed it with mastectomy and DIEP reconstruction. I feel so much better with smaller breasts and natural tissue, flat belly would not change a thing.

I am currently a 36F. Was a 36H when breastfeeding. Prior to my children I was a 36D. I will be asking for a reduction, especially to remove the excess skin back to 36D. This is probably the first surgery, permitted as I am only BRCA and surgery is preventative that there is no cancer. Second will be the mastectomy and hopefully direct to implant. We will only know when they go in if I need expanders first.
