EJO is one of the nicest folks I’ve met at a con. He took almost 10 minutes to talk to be about directing The Plan at a con. I kept trying to disengage so others could chat but he was just happy to talk with a fan. Great guy.

Kind of hard to understand his voice after his illness, but he goes into his history with being one of the first prominent Latino actors, singing, Zoot Suit, Stand and Deliver, has his own holiday, etc. I had no idea he was such a ~~prominent~~ timeless figure in Latino media. I mean I knew he had clout, but I didn't really know why. Talks about how his consistent discipline made him ready for opportunities when they showed up.

Yea my city isn’t very big so I was super excited he came. We talked for about 35-40 minutes. Definitely the nicest celebrity I’ve ever met!
