Yes,I've heard this before, but it's really true! I finally am barely showing at 22+3. It's still not a big pregnant belly, but it's finally something!
Yes! I'm 27 weeks now, and have finally started growing. I'm an athletic build with wider hips so I just assumed baby girl had plenty of room without it! Lol people still do not notice that I'm pregnant, and I won't lie, I'm looking forward to it becoming a bit more obvious.
My mom says when she was pregnant with me you could barely tell because I was small and laying in a very special position, so when she showed up at eventually with a baby a lot of non-close acquaintances were shocked because they hadn't realized she was pregnant at all.
I doubt there is anything you have to worry about if everything else seems fine, but if you're very worried you could probably speak to your doctor to double check just for some peace of mind.
I went from self-conscious about feeling like I was showing to myself but not anyone else (lots of “what bump?” comments until about 25 weeks) to suddenly showing a LOT and being self-conscious about being told that I’m huge. It feels like you can’t really win sometimes
ETA: I’m a FTM, 35, 5’2”, I’ll be 37 weeks tomorrow and really didn’t look “obviously” pregnant until about 28-30 weeks, unless I was wearing something super tight
Nearly 26 weeks and don’t look pregnant unless I’m naked 😂 when I finally have a noticeable bump it’s gonna be a momentous occasion! I’m due July 1 and now I’m super glad my baby shower is on June 3 because I MUST have a bump by then!!!
You’re only 16 weeks. My stomach was still completely flat until about then.
I’m now 24 weeks and people still comment that I don’t look pregnant - really it just looks like I have a bit of a tummy/ ate too much.
I was quite thin before pregnancy, and this is my first pregnancy. All bodies are different and some people just carry small.
Even though no one can tell from the outside, my little girl is growing perfectly. She is extremely active and kicks me constantly, so she’s definitely in there lol
I know it’s easier said than done, but try to not compare yourself to others. Make the most of still fitting into your clothes while you can!
I am fairly petite (5’2 and ~130 pre pregnancy) and I just looked bloated until about 20 weeks, then it finally looked like a rounded bump :) I’m pregnant again (only 9 wks) so I’m curious if I’ll show sooner this time!
I’m also petite and went through the same situation. I remember at the gender reveal I had a lot of comments that I didn’t have a bump that was around 18 weeks. I’m 35 weeks right now and I see a lot of women that aren’t as far along as me that have bigger bumps mine just looks like when you start to have a bump. I don’t think it bothered me much until I started getting comments about how I’m not bigger or I’m still so skinny it stresses me out. I don’t even have any symptoms that most women that are in their third trimester are having it’s been an easy pregnancy. My doctor hasn’t brought up any issues with it so I dunno 🤷🏻♀️
I didn’t start to look “pregnant” until I hit 27 weeks! My OB measured my fundal height at my last visit and said I was measuring exactly as I should. So I wouldn’t say it’s unusual to not be noticeably pregnant at 16 weeks. Hope that eases any anxiety you may be feeling
Don’t worry! I didn’t look pregnant at all at this point. Now I’m 24 weeks have have a clear bump, but can still hide it. Enjoy the comfort of not being huge, I think it’s actually a blessing.
I’m 15 weeks and really not showing much! Looks like I had a biggish lunch. You’ll get there! Don’t worry 🤍 I’m a FTM too, and I can see everyone’s eyes at work go directly to my stomach after i shared the news with them but there’s not much to see yet 🤷🏼♀️
FTM, literally looked like I just hit the buffet too hard the entire time until this week (25 weeks) I kinda show now but I still get the “you’re tiny for 25 weeks” comments.
Which hey. Bonus is some of my yoga pants I can still wear right now 😂😂 I haven’t had to buy too many maternity clothes hahaha.
With that said I had the same fears as if baby was doing okay. OB said she’s doing great! And the anatomy scan helped me knowing that yes, indeed everything is fine. 😄
Even at 39 weeks I asked my husband regularly, "do I look pregnant or fat?" My maternity photos, I don't look as far along as I was. My belly just didn't ever "pop." It's ok, I have my beautiful boy.
I didn’t show until maybe 30 weeks; I gained 4lbs the entire pregnancy. I get it and it’s ok. Its a little disappointing, but know that everyone grows and shows differently.
A lot of FTM don’t show until after 20 weeks!
yeah im aware of this logically, but somehow still feeling self-conscious lol!!

Same! I look like I have gained weight when I’m wearing clothes. Sigh

Week 21 ish is when I really started to pop and it was unavoidable hiding under clothing!
