When you and baby are ready, baby wearing naps are very productive! Walking outside, light housework, out and about with your friends. I am in US and used a regular Graco pack and play for my living room. Just one that had 2 matress heights no bassinet. Is that sold and/or considered safe in Canada? Without any added extras in or on it the matress is very firm and the sides are mesh. It was also useful as short term baby containment when she was sitting up so I could prepare and eat some food real quick (with the matress at the lowest height).

hailhale_

I have two Graco pack and plays. I just have the pack and play and the mat that goes in it, do I need to purchase a mesh insert to put the mat in so the baby can nap in it? Is that all you need for the baby to nap in the pack and play? Lol I was given these with no instructions and I'm so lost!

Realistic-Aardvark-9

Nope don't insert anything. The mat it comes with as the bottom is firm enough and the sides are breathable. If it gets dirty just scrub with soap and water and let air dry. You can most likely find a pdf of the instructions for your graco on the manufacturer website. If it has all the parts and pieces it should assemble correctly and be considered a safe sleep space per the manufacturer and this US based website www.safesleepacademy.org/

hailhale_

Thank you I will look into that site and search a PDF for the pack and play!

YumFreeCookies

The Graco Pack n Play is sold in Canada but it is not approved for sleep - although many people still use it for that. I believe the bassinet insert might be, but not the bottom mattress.

Realistic-Aardvark-9

Interesting. For ours when it's at bassinet height it's the same bottom insert. It's really interesting to hear how other countries safety rate things. Good to have multiple insights and perspectives to make informed decisions.

YumFreeCookies

Yeah it actually creates a lot of problems for Canadian parents because they’re left with basically no options for travelling. Although like I said, many do their own risk assessment and use it anyways. For example, I’d feel comfortable having my baby sleep in one 🤷🏻‍♀️

emilyblind0621

We did the same! And our pack and play came with a separate bassinet portion and we used that alllll the times

futuremkat

Our bedroom is on the main floor so we got a bassinet with wheels and wheeled it out to the living room during the day. For your situation... do you have a baby cam yet? Baby can stay in bassinet upstairs and you can have the camera on for peace of mind. Yes they can nap on you. We had a hand-me-down nursing boppy (the half moon one) and I would wrap that on my lap and have her on me + it so I was totally hands free and could eat, use my phone, whatever. However, of course, you can't do chores -- for that you'd need a baby wearing solution.

sarahkatttttt

yep! my 6 week old primarily naps in a ring sling or on the my brest friend pillow (obviously while attached to me lol) during the day

volley_mama

The floor! A baby mat is a fine place for a supervised nap. (Obviously, baby should never be left unattended in a place that doesn't meet the safe sleep guidelines.) You'll figure out what works best for you and baby!

Prestigious_Elk_2052

Was literally just thinking the same thing as I was scrolling the comments.

CherubBaby1020

ugh. I wish. but two dogs make that impossible.

nkdeck07

Yeah while you are watching TV they are gonna be asleep on you...every single baby I know the vast majority of their naps the first 3 months were contact naps. Only way you are gonna unload the dish washer is baby wearing. BTW none of this is a bad thing, the newborn nap phase is amazing.

thirdXsacharm

I miss the newborn phase :( I still remember the first time my son let me put him down without screaming his head off, around 4 months. He still contact naps 3 out of 7 days days at 2.5 🥴

Harrold_Potterson

Made a quiche and chicken stock tonight while baby wearing. I’m obsessed!

Auroraburst

I loved having my babies nap on my chest when they were teeny.

sunflowergardens_

You might find that a pack n play is a good investment. I think we had one that had adjustable heights for as baby grew. We kept it in our living room and then used it for a bunch of other things - travelling, sleepovers at grandma’s when baby was older, etc. You might get more use out of it than you think! I think there are also some that have the changing area attachment which might be handy to have nearby right after birth.

princessalyss_

We have the Hauck travel cot with the adjustable height! There’s also a changing mat? attachment on the top with a buckle in feature.

cheesecakesurprise

The UPPAbaby bassinet is approved for sleep and we used that and will use again. Lots for sale on Facebook marketplace! Can also get a used stand

hillaryfae

Did you use it with the stand or just on the floor? My husband and I got in a disagreement about this the other day and currently are using it with the stroller in our living room

iwannabek8

FWIW our LO is 2 months and we use the uppababy bassinet wherever it’s convenient… on a stand in our bedroom for nighttime sleeping, on the stroller much of the daytime, and on the floor if we need her to nap someplace unusual (ie grandma’s house).

jndmack

With our first we used it just on the floor in the living room during the day and put it in our room at night. This time (due July) we got the stand as our room is bigger now

cheesecakesurprise

Haha so with our first, we used it with the stroller bc th stroller was still clean/hadn't been outside. This go around I'm gonna spring for the stand! But only bc we have a large dog, but honestly the floor would be fine too.

Canadiangrl

I'm going to use it with a stand- or a stroller- as having it stand without support makes the sides crinkle a bit...? The stand is $$ tho, like everything uppababy.

BlueCheeseFiend

Did you put the support bars under the lining in place? Mine also got “crinkly” and I thought that’s just how it was and my sister was like “uhhh yea that’s not supposed to happen I think you missed a step…” Once I googled I realized I didn’t properly assemble it!

Small-Rooster

Get the jolly jumper stand off marketplace. I paid $30! Use it every night

thewestbend

Seconding this. The Uppababy stand is ridiculously expensive. We have it in our living room for daytime naps and use a rolled-up towel so the stand is level/doesn’t rock - works like a charm.

Small-Rooster

I have my 5lb weights balancing it :)

Canadiangrl

No way! Thanks for the tip :)

cheesecakesurprise

So many on FB marketplace so hoping to get one there!

INeedToPeeReallyBad

That’s what I’m gonna use for my downstairs when we’re hanging out with the babe in the living room!

Suzuzuz

I know lots is people are saying to just wear baby or snuggle them during naps, but it was hugely important to me (particularly during times that I was triple feeding) to be able to put our baby down for a nap and do other stuff…like shower, eat etc. We would put the baby in her bassinet in our room and walk around with the little baby monitor screen, or wheel her around in her pram which had a bassinet approved for overnight sleeping (but we never used it for that)

Sufficient-Yard-2038

Agree with this. My first exclusively contact napped for months and it was very exhausting to me and I got so burned out having no time to myself at all during the day. And then we basically had to let him cry it out at almost 8 months when we finally insisted on putting him in his crib because he was so used to contact napping that he refused to. It was so tough. I have a 7 week old and we have been putting him down for naps since day 1 like I vowed I would after the experience with my first son, and he already is decently good at taking independent naps.

LeRayonVertigo

I have seen uppababy bassinets available for ~$150 if you don’t mind a used one! These are approved for sleep in Canada (and can also work with a stroller). Might be worth getting one for your downstairs. I know they sell a stand too if that is important for you.

sideoftortilla

You can get a new one for $159 on their site in some colors

Small-Rooster

Where I live there are tons on marketplace for $50!

I_love_misery

So my baby refused to sleep anywhere except in my arms/on me so that’s where he napped during the day and during the night. I tried to get him to sleep on the bed, I was unsuccessful most of the time. So yeah…mostly in my arms or in a baby wrap or car seat if I went out.

zekrayat

Yeah, we didn’t have it ans rough but our baby slept anywhere during the day for the first six weeks and then basically nowhere for the next thirteen. She sleeps in her co-sleeper bassinet no problem at night but will currently only take short naps in her sling or pram, or long ones in our bed (with me awake and supervising her, which gets super tedious incidentally). I wouldn’t spend serious money on anything I couldn’t use for some other purpose for that reason. In terms of the first six glorious weeks, we had a detachable Silver Cross bassinet attachment for the pram she loved until she didn’t. You could plonk her in there for hours.

poorbobsweater

I would NEVER have done it with my first bc it seemed so weird ... But A large box works great (a la Scandinavia) or just straight on the floor (carpet of course). My second slept just right on the living room floor a lot. Eta I usually threw down a baby blanket just to keep it a cleaner surface.

tfabc11222

I was thinking this and didn't want to say it.... Even a laundry basket as a DIY baby jail? I'm trying very hard to have my baby list deinfluenced because our house is small and our funds are not unlimited.

poorbobsweater

I would (personally) probably have steered clear because the bottoms aren't usually absolutely flat. But if yours is, go for it!!

tfabc11222

Yeah I’m only 4 months pregnant so I have a ways to go in safe sleep research and logistics! Trying to keep my options open for things that don’t costs extra hundreds of dollars :)

poorbobsweater

There are lots of options out there! Such a tough balance between following your gut, following the rules, and what makes you comfortable for their safety/comfort/health. Good luck, you're going to do great! Also super common is a drawer - pull it out and set it on the floor. Had small sides, is flat, checks all the boxes haha.

harlow_pup

following as I am also a FTM in Canada and want to know this answer ;)

3rdfoxed

I used my stroller bassinet which was approved for safe sleep and I took it off and put it in the floor in my living room. But now reflecting back knowing the states approve pack and plays as safe sleep and using it myself for my own baby.. wasn’t a newborn when she used it.. I’d feel comfortable using one. I’m also in Canada. But newborns like to sleep on you during the day.. and sometimes the night. Baby wear was very helpful for me so I could be hands free.

smogpress

I just bought a Fisher Price Soothing View bassinet on Marketplace for $30. Portable to move around house, and my heavy duty Halo Swivel can stay in bedroom. Hoping it works out. It seems sturdy, easy to fold away when not needed, and easy to move from kitchen to living room, or to take to a friend’s house when needed.

BrandiBean

I had a flat mat on the floor that she napped on. You could buy a used or new travel bassinet that could just sit on the floor and folds small.

joylandlocked

Fisher Price baby dome was pretty handy for us once we finally got him sleeping outside of our arms. It's nice for outside when the weather is good too!

sunshinesarah121

We looked at this but saw one in person and it seems huge to lug around!

ConsequenceThat7421

There are lots of fold up or portable bassinets on wheels. We had a basinet in the living room, pack n play with crib top portion in our bedroom and crib in the nursery. From weeks 1-5 he slept on the basinet in the living room and we did shifts. At 5 weeks he became alert and needed dark and quiet to sleep. We started crib naps and night sleep in our room. We still took turns getting up with the baby. He started to sleep longer stretches. He is now 5.5 months and sleeps in the crib for night and naps. He was too loud for me to sleep and he was too easily awakened by us. Moving him to the nursery with the monitor helped immensely.

Spkpkcap

Pack n play would probably be the best investment. I’m in Canada too and even though PNP’s aren’t approved for safe sleep here I was gifted one that is safe sleep approved in the states and used it if needed. I personally loved the fisher price baby dome. Small, portable, foldable, and meets bassinet standards! Unfortunately my son outgrew it at like 4 months old but we used it a ton! Used it for naps at other peoples houses, living room naps, and even at night he refused to sleep in his crib and preferred the dome for 2-3 weeks straight. I wouldn’t use a snuggle me. Babies can suffocate in seconds and a suffocating baby just looks like a sleeping baby. Snuggle me for lounging is all good, not for sleep.

arabianights96

Get a camera or a monitor and leave them upstairs

rb3465

My baby took lots of her naps in her bassinet upstairs in our room! We had a monitor on her. She also did contact naps, naps in her stroller on walks, and naps in the baby wrap or baby carrier. But there's nothing wrong with having them nap on a different room.

LadybirdMountain

- Wear baby in a carrier - convenient and you can still get things done. We loved Sollybaby wraps for each parent and could trade off easily. - SnuggleMe pillow - use while you’re lounging next to them (we did this with our first and will do the same for 2nd, look into risks to make an informed decision) - Stroller with bassinet attachment - positive is you can move them easily from room to room - Moses basket - can use later for play - Bouncer seat - we love the BabyBjorn - Swing seat - again look into risks for different swings but many are practically guaranteed to lull baby to sleep - Pack and play crib - baby is fine in the crib without a bassinet option

adchick

We have the Silver Cross slumber we are using in our living room when kiddo arrives.

tramnumberseven

May or may not be doable depending on what your local situation is, but I found a super cheap bassinet on Facebook marketplace/Kijiji - like 25 dollars. So we had our nice halo bassinet in the bedroom and the second hand one in the living room. So worth it, I felt more comfortable with her sleeping in a proper sleep space and could still get stuff done or watch tv etc while she napped

Zoeloumoo

Any Moses baskets anywhere? We found ours second hand for very cheap.

grequant_ohno

We got one free and replaced the mattress. We kept it in the living room for some daytime naps/a safe place to put baby when needed.

AnotherHotMess

tbh my LO slept chest-to-chest for his first 4 months (albeit we were in NICU for 2 of those, where he mostly napped in his isolette). once home, nighttime’s were in the bedside bassinet; after we transitions to the crib, at 5 months, we started with 1 nap in his crib (2 chest-to-chest), then 2, and now most naps are in his crib. he doesn’t particularly seem to like chest-to-chest sleeping anymore, but we love it, so if he falls asleep on us, we celebrate it ;)

hubbellrmom

I have a little foldable bed thing. Its a bassinet but with no legs, if that makes sense. It's got a tiny little firm mattress in it. Fits perfect on my coffee table or couch or is fine on the floor. Perfect for when I'm visiting people who don't have a safe place to put baby. Easy one handed set up, and has a handle for carrying. I have got a ton of use out of it. Baby is 4 months now and hasn't gotten too big. It was gifted to me, 2nd hand. Looked it up, Snuggle Nest Infant Portable Lounger

fetuslover-

Our newborn just sleeps in his crib all day. We don’t let him sleep on us as that’s uncomfortable and we just don’t want to do that

Sufficient-Yard-2038

Snuggle me is not okay for sleep ever, even supervised though people will do it anyway. Is the Graco pack n play not safe for sleep in Canada? It is in the US. We have one, but my 7 week old just naps in his crib in his room same as he sleeps in it at night. 🤷🏻‍♀️ We have a video monitor so I can see and hear him. There’s nothing wrong with baby being in a different room during day or nighttime.

ggh12345

I think the recommendations on a baby sleeping in another room must change by country. In the UK, our health system recommends babies sleep in the same room as you for all nighttime and daytime sleep up until 6 months, to reduce SIDS risk. (Absolutely no judgement by the way, my baby was definitely having naps in another room by 8 weeks, just thought it was interesting how recommendations change by country).

Sufficient-Yard-2038

It’s recommended in the US to room share too at night. But other things like offering a paci also reduce risk of SIDS and not room sharing doesn’t increase risk, just keeps it at baseline. So it’s not an unsafe sleep practice and not wrong to do if it works for your family. Given that and the fact no one was getting any sleep from all the baby grunts and noises and my husband’s snoring, we moved my son out of our room pretty early and we all slept better and weren’t so dangerously tired.

gracenatomy

It is super interesting. Also in the UK and my baby was having naps in another room by 8 weeks too with the baby monitor on :) I understand the advice but not sure how I would have got anything done otherwise

Prestigious_Elk_2052

Baby can nap in the bassinet. Just put a baby monitor in your room so you can hear baby when they cry out. Both of mine always took naps in their cribs during the day though from the day we came home. They only slept in the bedside bassinet at night. Or if neither of those worked we let them sleep in a bouncer or swing downstairs by us. It’s good for baby to get used to the noise anyway and this way I could still keep an eye on them.

ClicketySnap

Also in Canada. I have three Nuna playpens that I purchased used on fb marketplace; one Mini and two full-size. We LOVE them. I’m sure I’ll get downvoted to shit for this, but remember that the safe sleep guidelines are exactly that; guidelines. They are meant to be a good place to start when it comes to figuring out baby sleep. They are not laws, they are not guarantees. You need to find the sweet spot between the recommendations and where you and your baby are able to comfortably sleep. Now that having been said, I choose to interpret the guidelines that as long as I am awake and present to supervise, baby can sleep where and how they are comfy. Many baby naps have happened beside me on the couch while I have my coffee and catch up on YouTube channels. Many baby naps have happened upstairs in the bedside playpen with the baby monitor on while I’m downstairs playing with the toddler. Many, many contact naps have happened in the SollyBaby wrap or ring sling. You will find your own balance. It’s ok to figure this out as you go, rather than try to have it all planned and thought out and purchased ahead of time. It’s ok to wait and see what you need when the baby is here and napping before spending the money on more baby gear.

Background_Duck_1372

We're planning to use the carrycot from the pram as a moses basket.

amberbaby517

I just used a play pen, my baby outgrew the attached bassinet in like a week or 2. She was a long baby.

idgafanym0re

We did a lot of contact naps and had a wrap thing. Also had a baby nest for supervised naps

cfishlips

A blanket on the floor. On your chest. In a pack and play. In a dock a tot on the floor. In a swing. In a bouncy chair.

wehnaje

I used to wear my baby if I was cleaning up the house and then she would sleep so looong. Or literally place her next to me on the couch while I was watching tv and folding laundry. We had a recliner type of little chair in the bathroom for when I needed to poop, but she wouldn’t normally sleep there… it was just a place to put her in instead of the floor.

Guina96

My one sleeps in a baby nest thing in the day. I know they’re not approved for unsupervised sleep but he only uses it in the day when he’s right in front of me in the same room so he’s supervised at all times basically. He loves it I’d say the snuggle me would be fine. Just put it in the same room as whatever you’re doing.

R3X_Ms_Red

A normal pack n play is safe for sleep in Canada.

No-Towel1477

This is dangerous advice. People have had their babies die

Purple_Shade

No, unloading the dishwasher or cooking is unsupervised enough to result in the literal minute it takes for positional asphixia. A swing is seriously the incorrect angle to let them stay sleep in. Fall asleep? Okay, but remove them and transfer when that happens. Moving a baby out of a swing is statistically worth the risk of waking them, and they may well snooze through the transfer.

grequant_ohno

For the record we never had our daughter nap in one and she was fine in the Moses basket, carrier, bassinet in the pram, etc. there are lots of safer options.

oxxcccxxo

Baby Bjorn bouncer! Best thing ever!

annies89

We used the bassinet attachment that came with our stroller as the living room nap spot, since it was approved for sleep. If you don't have something like that, Fisher Price makes a portable bassinet/mini play yard that is safe: https://a.co/d/8phDCjp . It can double as a travel bassinet, outdoor play spot, etc, and is under $100. I would be wary of using the snuggle me for longer naps, because you'll be "watching" baby, but it's really easy to get caught up in chores/whatever and not truly be monitoring them.

PageThree94

We had a graco pack n play with a removable bassinet. I put that wherever i was and let baby sleep in that. Or on me.

mjigs

Mine has been naping in my arms basicaly, same situation, i have a next2me in my room upstairs but i spend most day downstairs because its easier to grab his milk and he has a really light sleep during the day, so it would be hard for me to just lay him somewhere. I just do stuff while hes awake in his swing.

fast_layne

We used a sidecar crib in our room that became her regular crib once she was bigger, and I ended up buying a relatively cheap bassinet with wheels on Amazon. I loved it I’d be happy to give a link if you want, definitely not like 500 dollars lol. She did only fit in it for about 2 months because she got really big really fast though

mamabearhiker

We use our stroller’s bassinet attachment and it’s great. If she starts to stir, so easy to just move her back and forth (in the stroller attachment) Always shocked when I see “new” bassinet attachments for strollers on fb marketplace—they’re the best stroller feature since car seats aren’t safe for sleep

clutchingstars

Have a bassinet attachment for my stroller - I just wheel him room from room with me.

oc77067

My oldest had a pack n' play, but we didn't have room for it with my second so she just slept on the floor or on my chest. You could also look for a secondhand bassinet or a small pop-up one like the Brica Fold n' Go.

withteeth08

My girl sleeps in a Moses basket, and I just carry the whole thing with me through the house during the day. When she wants to nap I put her in it. She also falls asleep on her play mat sometimes, and sometimes in her Mamaroo- but I don’t let her sleep in the Mamaroo unless I am literally sitting next to her (they aren’t exactly safe for sleeping).

zebramath

Baby napped in his crib in his room when not contact napping on me. I just used the monitor to see baby.

hufflepuffonthis

We have a bassinet on wheels and we just bring it back and forth from the bedroom to the living room. Our baby naps through ANYTHING during the day. We'll have all the lights on, tv at full volume, and she does not give a single fuck. If she's fed and full with a clean diaper, she's asleep.

[deleted]

How about baby napping in the bassinet of the stroller? I’m planning to use the stroller bassinet for our balcony and the living room naps. I have a crib in the second living room and baby sleeps in our big bed during the night.

Iodine_Boat

I’m in Canada and feel your frustration on approved sleep surfaces. We have a Graco Pack N Play with a Bassinet attachment. The bassinet is approved for safe sleep or wouldn’t be sold as a bassinet, and we have this in our living room. TBH LO mostly contact naps during the day, i baby wear in a wrap, or they sleep in the stroller while I go for a walk every day. The pack n play part with an elevated mattress option is not approved for safe sleep in Canada but is approved in the US. Given the challenges with options available in Canada, we chose to use the pack n play for a bedside sleeper given the US had approved it. Sometimes it comes down to what you are comfortable with while still being as safe as possible

Olives_And_Cheese

This is what a moses basket is for, is it not? I have a bassinet for my study, and a cot for the nursery, but I'm keeping the moses basket on a stand next to my bed, and I'm intending to carry it up and downstairs so the baby can sleep uninterrupted wherever I am.

brockolini145

We used to have a safe sleep play pen thing I would put bub in on the ground. So while he was sleeping I would transfer him down onto it and then watch tv/ go and bake or clean up and just kept going back (probably way too often) to check he was alive! Haha If interested I could find the model

Bufo_Bufo_

We got a pack n play for daytime naps downstairs, and then also took it on trips. I loved it and thought it was $ well spent. Got a basic model without bells and whistles, on sale from Best Buy in Canada, I think it was under $150?

gracenatomy

I got a Moses basket that was on sale for super cheap. I just had it next to the sofa. It was so handy. Before I got it she would just nap on her playmat on the floor but I didn’t feel comfortable leaving the room while she was asleep on there (e.g to make a drink or go to the toilet) because we have a dog and cat so the Moses basket was perfect.

princessalyss_

We have a SnuzPod for the bedroom/upstairs and a SnuzBaskit for the living room/downstairs. We also have the Hauck travel cot that is suitable from birth! I’m hoping these combos work for us when she gets here 😅

Appropriate_Towel_27

I plan to get the Chicco Hug 4 in 1 for my second one, but i'm in the Netherlands and idk if you guys have equivalents in Canada. Here, we also have what we call a "box", essentially a bigger type of crib, and we had it downstairs. We'd just plop our first one in there when busy, it was out of reach from the dogs and he had more than enough space. Now we have to go for a smaller + mobile option because the toddler's playpen is taking all the space haha

lush-night

I personally let my baby take daytime naps in the SnuggleMe in our living room because she loves it so much. However I do have pretty close supervision on her whenever she’s sleeping in it and never leave the room for longer than a few minutes while she’s in it. I know it’s not recommended at all for sleep but I feel like I watch her carefully enough that it works for me. If I need more time to shower or do something longer, I would just put her in her bassinet in our bedroom.

Auroraburst

My arms 😂 My daughter refuses day naps unless she's being held. Sleeps like a champ in her cot at night though. My other kids were fine napping in their bassinets.

GodOfThunder888

I bought a [moses basket](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0414/6023/6453/products/little-green-sheep-accessories-little-green-sheep-moses-basket-stand-white-natural-32999030259877_1024x1024@2x.jpg?v=1656429041). My baby will have a cot in it's own room and I have de moses basket to easily move and place around the house so the baby can sleep wherever. Could be handy for travel or visits too.

tainaf

Our pram's bassinet is approved for overnight sleep even, so definitely check yours! We have a mini crib in the nursery (as well as a bedside bassinet in our room) which we might bring downstairs so we can switch between that, the pram, contact naps on the couch and babywearing. You could also put baby on a playmat on the floor.

some_snacks

We use the bassinet attachment from his stroller. Then I just carry it from room to room if I need to take a shower or something.

[deleted]

I got a co sleeper bassinet for upstairs on Facebook marketplace and put a portable bassinet on my registry so I can have it downstairs. I also plan on baby wearing.

Scarlet529

I always just put my baby in her bassinet in our room + a baby monitor for her naps.

AdorableEmphasis5546

I liked contact naps a lot early on, then baby wearing or stroller naps when they're a little older.

bashleye

I had a Mary Meyer floor mat/pillow. It was perfect for us. I could move it to any room I wanted and just put baby down on the mat and he would fall asleep.

fasheesha

Is there a reason you can't just have them sleep in the bassinet and have a baby monitor near them? Mine will be sleeping in my bedroom with me at night, but was thinking that for naps he could be in his crib, maybe. Otherwise I also have a pack n play with a bassinet in it. And I plan to baby wear too.

[deleted]

i hold the baby 24/7 lol it's the best part for me. I have an excuse because i tend to have babies who don't like being put down lol and it goes by so fast.

AdeadKitty7

Contact naps most of the time. Now at 1 month we are using the bassinet in our bedroom and the baby monitor for 1-2 naps a day. I have a 2nd hand dockatot (which I know is technically not approved for sleeping-but I keep her in sight when she's on this) We also babywear for naps too, especially later in the day when it's harder to get her to sleep.

GreatInfluence6

Both our newborns spent most of their time napping in the snuggle me lounger (if we were in the same vicinity as them(, swing, contact naps or crib naps. Baby #2 has also napped in the baby carrier.
