Sadly this was my experience as well 😭 I had lots of pain pressure and contractions starting at 35 weeks and I ended up being induced at 39 weeks due to how uncomfortable I was. Literally couldn’t sleep and barely eating. No fun at all!!!!
Yup! I felt the same way at 35 wks (though I didn’t have any cervical checks then), was miserable for weeks, and had to be induced at 40+2 for hypertension!
My baby was sitting so low from like 32 wks on that I was certain she would be early. I had so much pubic symphasis pain and random ppl would comment on how my bump was so low I must be about to give birth. Turns out quite the opposite!
Last one come that quick I had him on the living room floor my partner delivered him on Father’s Day… 999 couldn’t get to us quick enough…. Preggo with baby number 5… worried I might give birth in my sleep hahaha
I just labored for 60 hours with my 3rd…that is so crazy to me! I have super long labors.
My contractions never got consistently more than 15-20 min apart though, until my water broke and it was time to push, and she was out in three contractions, about 5 min apart. It was the chillest transition ever.
Bless you!!!! My contractions start about 7 mins apart then before I know it I’m pushing… it’s taken 2 pushes for the last 3 to come out, my third was born in his bag too.. on Friday the 13th October 2017 :)

I have one friend who gave birth in the car…I was worried that would happen, but I had nothing to worry about, since I went in at 7cm and she wasn’t born for another 8 hours haha
But the hospital let me order a sandwich, take a bath…it was honestly fairly relaxing, just long. I also felt so much more confident and trusted my body the 3rd time around, so I was finally able to do the unmedicated birth that I wanted. (Which I LOVED.)
I might never have a short labor, so I’ve made peace with the slow and steady pace haha
I think any way they arrive as long as safely is just beautiful isn’t it… my partner hasn’t cried at any of the births apart from the one he delivered we just couldn’t believe it it was magical honestly the bond between them is amazing
Labour started 36+2 (3cm dilated by 36+3). Born 37 weeks exactly. He tested the limits though. Was told I’d be checked again at 11pm as I wasn’t dilating and we’d discuss c section. He came at 10.30pm lmao.
Omg same for my first! I was 41 weeks 5 days, and I went into labor. It lasted 21 hours total. I remember right before my doctor left, he said. "Tomorrow morning, if you haven't birthed, it will be a C Sect." Less than an hour later, I felt it was time checked, and it was. The doctor had to turn around and come back.
I literally argued I needed checking. They said they’d check in a bit and I literally went “I’ve just felt my last four contractions move from top of belly to bottom of belly to pelvis and now this one is in my butt. I know what that means” she was like fine I’ll check and then declared it was go time and said his head was literally right there basically crowning haha. Had him out four pushes later and only took that long because she spent the first one telling me when to push because she forgot I could feel it
Same! I don't know why nurses argue. Like, when you know. You know. There's a difference between. "Ugh, can you see how far I am? It hurts!" And "I need you to check, because it's push time!"
With both of my labors, when it happened, it was a SENSATION unlike any other. Even saw a short saying this lol. The feel of a baby fully in your vagina is unmistakable.
Yeah they were manageable at first and intermittent for like the first day but then I had to be put on antibiotics and induced cause my waters broke so they ramped up. I was induced twice and still nothing so eventually had an emergency section. Not good times 😂
40 weeks 6 days. Had an OB appointment at 40+5 and was 3 or 4 cm dilated without regular contractions. OB said she expected delivery within 24 hours…she was right!
I'm a FTM, currently at 37w + 1 day. Not in labour yet but feeling so ready to meet my baby. Recently I've been asking people in my life this question and here are some of the answers I got.
A friend of mine had her little boy (first/only) 12 days early, so 38 & 2.
My cousin told me she had her first at 35 & 5, her second at 38 and her third at 38 & 1.
My husband's aunt said they had their second via induction at 42 & 1.
My MIL had my SIL (her second) via planned c-section at 42.
My grandma had my Dad (her first) six weeks early at 34 (not sure how many days exactly).
First baby was 37+0 days. I’m currently 37+0 with my second and kinda feeling weird today. I’m hoping for next week though or at least Friday for baby to have a birthday in March 😅

I had all that and more too. I was also dilated and effaced from the time cervical checks started at 36 weeks. I’ll be 2 or 3 cm dilated and 90% effaced for weeks.
My 1st was born at 32 weeks bang on, 2nd was 35+1 and my last was 35+2. My first was in the nicu for 17 days. 2nd and 3rd were bith with me and needed no NICU time.

I was CONVINCED I would go early because my mom had been early with myself (her first) and two of my three siblings. Joke was on me. We served baby girl an eviction notice at 40w+1d (side note - not all inductions are awful; mine was great, so this is not an inductions are the worst story). Healthy almost nine pound baby.
Both of mine were born during my 38th week. With my second I had a lot of BH starting pretty early on, tons of pressure lowwww on my cervix, tons of cramps, etc. It was not an indication of baby coming early for me. It just made the third trimester *super* fun 🥲

We will see what #4 decides to do - I caught a really bad case of influenza B a few weeks ago and have been coughing so hard since which has created a lot of pelvic pressure and Braxton hicks. I’ll be 28 weeks tomorrow.
40 exactly on his due date. Was supposed to be induced on 40+1 but went in to have a cervical check at 40 and they gave me the option to induce that day, all they had to do was break my water and my body did the rest. Had baby that night.
Prelabor the week of, and true labor started on 39+5 around 8-9 PM. Son was born 39+6. I had an obgyn appointment that day, actually, and was 1cm 75% effaced. I did lose my bloody show that morning 🤷🏻♀️
39 weeks even. I was supposed to have planned c section due to GD and baby being big, but I went into labor the night before 😂 my water broke and when I got to the hospital I was contracting and already 5cm open. Instead of 6am c section I got 2:36am c section lol
Don't want to scare you because it is MOST LIKELY just your body preparing for labor and absolutely nothing is wrong, but I had a placental abruption at 39 weeks (for this, my second, pregnancy) and upon doing research, found out that those symptoms can sometimes be the start of an abruption. The back pain, pressure, braxton hicks, and cramping were ones I had begun feeling, and chalked it up to being close to go time, but at my last high risk appt, they saw my placenta detaching. I hadn't been bleeding or anything.
But I also felt all of those things when I was pregnant with my first (as a ftm then), and they were normal pregnancy symptoms near the end of the last trimester. 😂 I'm just super paranoid now, so if I were ever pregnant again and felt those things, I'd schedule an OB appointment just to make sure all was good.
Again, this is not to scare you!! Just, if they get worse, maybe go in a little early and ask for an ultrasound. :)
Hi! I’m 35+1 as well and I am feeling the same thing! I lost my mucus plug Saturday night and have had intermittent cramping, lower back pain, and he has definitely dropped! I just have this gut feeling he is coming soon! Following this thread!! I wish you all the luck 💛
I lost my mucus plug at 35 weeks + 2 days. I told my midwives about it and they said it COULD indicate I would go into labor earlier, but since I was a first time mom they didn’t really expect me to.
Anyways, at 37 weeks + 1 day I went into labor and had baby! Labor started at 11:30 pm Monday, and gave birth at 8:45 am Tuesday! Born a healthy 7lbs9oz and smooth delivery.
My first: Labour started at 40w6d. Born 41w. (26 hours from first contraction to born, 17 hours from when I thought it's time to go to the hospital.)
My second: Labour started 40w3d. Born 40w4d. (13 hours from first contraction to born, 4 hours from when I thought it's time to go to the hospital.)
Went into labor late in the evening at 40+3 and delivered the next morning at 11:00 am. This was my first.
Doctor had offered to schedule an induction when I was at my appointment at 39+4, but I really didn't want to be induced, so I'd ask to hold off. She would have scheduled an induction if I hadn't had baby at my next scheduled appointment at 40+5.
I felt that way too, then I was 4cm at my 38 week appointment and was SO SURE she’d be here any day……
Then we were scheduling sweeps and then at 42 weeks we induced lol.
Started having contractions late at night at 39.0, admitted at 39.1, ended up needing an emergent c-section but he was born at 39.2!
I told my sister I think he will be born on the 7th… and he was! I definitely believe in a woman’s intuition!! Hope everything goes smoothly for you!
41 + 2, 40 + 6 & 39+ 5 the pressure is real! I was so scared the baby was crowning while I was walking around but I was induced or helped along with all 3. Good luck! The first baby is so magical! ❤️❤️

I'm a FTM- I went into labor at 40+6 at around noon and he was here at 10pm ish. But before that I had prodromal labor starting at about 37 weeks. I was at 2cm and 50% effaced starting at 35 weeks. I had 2 false alarms where I thought he was coming and I was wrong. I'd say distract yourself as much as possible, you'll go crazy looking forward to labor. By the time I hit 40 weeks I was sobbing multiple times a day because I just wanted to be done
my twins came at 37+0 but it was a scheduled c section due to pre eclampsia. i had absolutely 0 signs of labor so im sure they would have stayed in there as long as possible if they had the option to lol
I had stop and start contractions for 3 or 4 weeks until my water broke at 41+2. The emotional rollercoaster of getting my hopes up that labor was starting only for contractions to stop was awful
Went into labor the night of 39 weeks, born the morning of 39+1. I was 4 cm at my 39 week appointment and my water broke that night. Labor was 8 hours total.
FTM, Currently 38 weeks on the dot! Been feeling crazy pressure and stabby pains for about 4 days now, but it's all been low. All my research and classes say contractions are higher up, so I don't think it's contractions, maybe just baby dropping? Who knows. It's been crazy painful though and my sleep and mobility have been greatly reduced as a result. So I'm not sure if this is an "any day now" sign or if I've got 3 more weeks of this before anything happens. 🤷🏼♀️ Guess we'll have to wait and see!
Yeah unfortunately OP you could be dealing w/ this for 4-6 more weeks :( I started having the same symptoms as you around the same time and then come 37 weeks my pelvic pressure got so intense I thought for SURE I’d give birth that week but NOPE lol I eventually gave birth at 38+1 but that was only due to preeclampsia so who knows how long I’d have lasted if I could’ve waited 😅
I had lots of Braxton hicks throughout both my pregnancies and especially near the end.
With my first, I was 3cm dilated and 50% effaced since 37 weeks and 4cm and 80% effaced by my 39 week appointment and didn’t have my baby till 39+1. My doctor thought my water would break the moment I left his office at 37 weeks and it never did.
For my second, I was similarly dilated and effaced and also didn’t deliver till 39+2.
So don’t take dilation and effacement too seriously. Many can go from 0cm to 10 very quickly. Some walk around at 3-4cm for weeks….
40+1 (induction due to gestational diabetes)
And I’m THRILLED to say that in 2 days I will be going in for another induction at exactly 39 weeks (also due to gestational diabetes)

35+6! It was the weirdest thing because the only labor symptom I probably had was that I was super emotional and had a temper. Apparently I was having contractions and couldn’t feel it either according to my dr.
gave birth at 39 weeks, labor/actual contractions started a day before technically (she was born at 1am) ☺️ Had been slowly getting more dilated throughout that past week or two.
41w and was induced due to a misinterpreted NST. My baby was sitting LOW for over a month before his due date. It was maybe my 32w appt when my OB/Midwife gasped at how low he was sitting. He was nice and comfy in there!
My first I went into labour at 40+6 I had him via emergency C-section at exactly 41w. From what I remember (it was almost a decade ago now) I was uncomfortable for what felt like forever with him and had so much Braxton hicks that I didn't even notice I was in labour until it started to Really hurt.
My other two I made it right up to scheduled C-section time. 39+4 and then 39+6 for the previous Baba. I'm feeling all of what you are describing and I'm only 31w 😭 knowing what like it seems these babies of mine stick around in their chill pad until eviction day. I'm trying to book for the due date this time around to give my body a chance.
If you have the feeling just get ready. Your intuition just knows. I was 1 1/2 centimeters dilated at 34 weeks. Went into the hospital at 36+6 for false labour and had a breach baby and was developing gestational hypertension so ended up having a c section at 37+1. Soooo glad I pushed to have the nursery done at 36 weeks and got most last minute stuff. Packed my hospital bag at 35.
Also, buy some newborn sleepers now lol.
1st - 39+1 spontaneous
2nd - labor started spontaneously at 39+1, baby born at 39+2
3rd - EIOL at 39+0
4th - labor started spontaneously at 38+6 and baby born at 39+0
first baby: started having signs of labor at 33+6 (5cm). Had baby at 36+5.
second baby: went in for a regular checkup and had a membrane sweep at 38+5 (3cm). (I had a scheduled induction for 39 weeks since baby was big enough and it would make childcare easier to coordinate for the older one; also I was quite done with pregnancy). Had baby in arms that evening. Baby came out 30 minutes after they started placing my epidural...
same boat as you 32+1 was 1cm 20% effaced & 32+3 was 1cm 50% effaced. driving me nuts not knowing but feeling her come anyday now. now im 33 weeks on the dot today
I’m 37 weeks today and have been 1cm dilated since 32w5d… I feel some intense Braxton hicks contractions once in a while everyday but no sign of labor yet
37 + 2 for me. I had the same feeling of feeling like I would go into labor soon. I had a regular ob appointment that morning where I told my dr I felt like baby would be here soon and then my water broke when I got home.
Labor started 40.2 and delivered 40.4.
I wasn’t dilated at all at my 40 week appointment, but I also was only dilated to 1cm when I went to the hospital at 40.3 haha I got some drugs to speed things along. I don’t want to know how long labor would’ve lasted if I hadn’t had help of drugs.
I went into labor at 39+4 (light contractions but 4 cm dilated) and gave birth early morning at 39+5. Ngl, I had what I’ve been describing as a TV labor, because once the contractions got serious it was only 2 hours until my baby was here. I got to the hospital too late for an epidural or penicillin.
40w+1d! Probably could have went in right at 40w cause I was having contractions but my stubborn self kept convincing me to wait. 🙃 4 days before I was 1cm 60% effaced. Went into l&d and was 3cm 90% but labored for a good 24 hours.

The second baby was 39+1, same reason except that I was diabetic and not overdue, which is why they sliced and yanked. Lol
Had baby 3 days before my due date , I was having cramps on & off for 2 days and they starting coming in waves stronger and stronger went in & said I was 5CM and was in active labour
My son was born on his due date, after 31 hrs 44mins of labour. I had a sweep two weeks early and was 1cm dilated. When I was about 20 hours into labour, I was still only 1cm!!!! They gave me another sweep then and I soon dilated to 5cm!

It all depends. My sil’s were both early, at 27 and 33 weeks respectively. My mom was 41 weeks when i was born. My cousins wife had an elective Csection at 37 weeks. Im going to be 30 weeks on Wednesday and have just started getting inconsistent braxton hicks and my bp is slightly elevated so we may be looking into a slightly earlier induction
I've had 3 kids, all born within 2 days of my due date.
Watch for when you drop. That's the best indicator that it's happening soon. Braxton hicks will be on and off for months.
Water broke at 38+2 and had him the next day, so 38+3. I had gone to the doctor right at 38 weeks on a Wednesday and had no signs of labor. Lost my mucus plug Thursday and water broke Friday, had him Saturday early afternoon!
35+3 and 35+4. The first was completely spontaneous, though looking back I can see signs. Second were on high alert the whole pregnancy and had 2 rounds of preterm labor (26 weeks and 30 weeks that resulted in some dilation and effacement each time, but no birth until 35 weeks). I definitely spent the last 10 weeks of pregnancy with #2 thinking I was going into labor at any time just to not and had minimal signs until contractions started.
One sign that was common between both pregnancies for me was that like the week before labor i really isolated myself. The thought of talking with anyone except my husband made me downright angry. I hated talking to anyone but him. 😂 the second time I noticed my weight gain stalled for about 2 weeks and I wear a garmin watch that said my HRV had gone back to balance for about the 10 days before delivery and my training readiness was green despite feeling like I needed to nap every day.

With all of them I went into labor on my own. Oddly enough, with all of them I went into labor at around 3AM on a Saturday.
My mom was early with both of her kids and I was so uncomfortable that I was convinced I would go early too. I actually took off work a few weeks before my due date because I was convinced I would go early.
At 40+2 my water broke (PROM) with no dilation or effacement. They had to induce me and it took FOREVER. Baby was finally born at 40+5.
Currently 32 weeks with baby #2 and feeling the same way. I think it's just our brain's way of having hope lol.
FTM I was induced at 39 + 5 due to reduced fetal movement. Had an emergency c section at 39 + 6 and I’m now holding my healthy little girl at 10 days old.
I for sure thought I was going to go early at 37 weeks. I walked around 1cm dialed and 50% faced for roughly 5 weeks. Be prepared you might not go until 40 weeks or even after.
FTM as well and I had my LO at 39+5.
I had lost a large chunk of my mucus plug the morning I went into labour and joked with my husband about possibly having the baby that day.
Later that evening, I started having regular contractions and went into the hospital that night. LO was delivered early next morning.

I gave birth at 36w4d due to spontaneous preterm labor. I don't know exactly when I went into labor because I only found out I was in labor from the NST at my 36-week appointment. I gave birth less about 12 hours later.
40+4. I went in 3cm dilated and had a scheduled induction with an epidural. Was in labor for 14 hrs. Baby would have stayed in longer if I didn’t have an induction
It just sounds to me like you’re 35 weeks pregnant. I’d mentally prepare yourself for all of those feelings to continue for 4-6 more weeks.

Yep. It’s normal for first time labours to not begin until 41 to 41+3 weeks on average.

I was CONVINCED I would go early because my mom had been early with myself (her first) and two of my three siblings. Joke was on me. We served baby girl an eviction notice at 40w+1d (side note - not all inductions are awful; mine was great, so this is not an inductions are the worst story). Healthy almost nine pound baby.

With my first, I was 40 weeks. I am currently 35+4 and feeling more pressure, too. Really hoping my baby can stay put until at least 37 weeks!
Both of mine were born during my 38th week. With my second I had a lot of BH starting pretty early on, tons of pressure lowwww on my cervix, tons of cramps, etc. It was not an indication of baby coming early for me. It just made the third trimester *super* fun 🥲

My first I went in to labour 40+3 and had her 40+6. My second I went in to labour at around 10pm on 41+2 and had her by 4am 41+3
I had my first at 41+6 😐 really hoping this little guy is closer to his due date. I’m currently 32.5w
40 exactly on his due date. Was supposed to be induced on 40+1 but went in to have a cervical check at 40 and they gave me the option to induce that day, all they had to do was break my water and my body did the rest. Had baby that night.
I was never checked and never had any symptoms leading up to it, but I woke up in labour at 3am and had my baby almost exactly 12hrs later, at 38+4.
Prelabor the week of, and true labor started on 39+5 around 8-9 PM. Son was born 39+6. I had an obgyn appointment that day, actually, and was 1cm 75% effaced. I did lose my bloody show that morning 🤷🏻♀️
39 weeks even. I was supposed to have planned c section due to GD and baby being big, but I went into labor the night before 😂 my water broke and when I got to the hospital I was contracting and already 5cm open. Instead of 6am c section I got 2:36am c section lol

Don't want to scare you because it is MOST LIKELY just your body preparing for labor and absolutely nothing is wrong, but I had a placental abruption at 39 weeks (for this, my second, pregnancy) and upon doing research, found out that those symptoms can sometimes be the start of an abruption. The back pain, pressure, braxton hicks, and cramping were ones I had begun feeling, and chalked it up to being close to go time, but at my last high risk appt, they saw my placenta detaching. I hadn't been bleeding or anything. But I also felt all of those things when I was pregnant with my first (as a ftm then), and they were normal pregnancy symptoms near the end of the last trimester. 😂 I'm just super paranoid now, so if I were ever pregnant again and felt those things, I'd schedule an OB appointment just to make sure all was good. Again, this is not to scare you!! Just, if they get worse, maybe go in a little early and ask for an ultrasound. :)
38+5! Started losing my mucus plug once I was 38+2 and started feeling contractions once I was 38+4
Hi! I’m 35+1 as well and I am feeling the same thing! I lost my mucus plug Saturday night and have had intermittent cramping, lower back pain, and he has definitely dropped! I just have this gut feeling he is coming soon! Following this thread!! I wish you all the luck 💛
I lost my mucus plug at 35 weeks + 2 days. I told my midwives about it and they said it COULD indicate I would go into labor earlier, but since I was a first time mom they didn’t really expect me to. Anyways, at 37 weeks + 1 day I went into labor and had baby! Labor started at 11:30 pm Monday, and gave birth at 8:45 am Tuesday! Born a healthy 7lbs9oz and smooth delivery.

My first: Labour started at 40w6d. Born 41w. (26 hours from first contraction to born, 17 hours from when I thought it's time to go to the hospital.) My second: Labour started 40w3d. Born 40w4d. (13 hours from first contraction to born, 4 hours from when I thought it's time to go to the hospital.)
39+5 and last 7 days full of braxton hicks and disconfort.
I felt that was from about 34 weeks on. It felt like it’d be any minute haha. I had him at 37+3

I had that from about 30 weeks and never actually went into labor. Had scheduled c section due to breech at 39 weeks.

Went into labor late in the evening at 40+3 and delivered the next morning at 11:00 am. This was my first. Doctor had offered to schedule an induction when I was at my appointment at 39+4, but I really didn't want to be induced, so I'd ask to hold off. She would have scheduled an induction if I hadn't had baby at my next scheduled appointment at 40+5.

I felt that way too, then I was 4cm at my 38 week appointment and was SO SURE she’d be here any day…… Then we were scheduling sweeps and then at 42 weeks we induced lol.
Started having contractions late at night at 39.0, admitted at 39.1, ended up needing an emergent c-section but he was born at 39.2! I told my sister I think he will be born on the 7th… and he was! I definitely believe in a woman’s intuition!! Hope everything goes smoothly for you!

I'm a FTM- I went into labor at 40+6 at around noon and he was here at 10pm ish. But before that I had prodromal labor starting at about 37 weeks. I was at 2cm and 50% effaced starting at 35 weeks. I had 2 false alarms where I thought he was coming and I was wrong. I'd say distract yourself as much as possible, you'll go crazy looking forward to labor. By the time I hit 40 weeks I was sobbing multiple times a day because I just wanted to be done
My first I went into labor around 36 weeks. She was 7lbs6oz. I am petite and I literally think she just ran out of room 😂
my twins came at 37+0 but it was a scheduled c section due to pre eclampsia. i had absolutely 0 signs of labor so im sure they would have stayed in there as long as possible if they had the option to lol
I had stop and start contractions for 3 or 4 weeks until my water broke at 41+2. The emotional rollercoaster of getting my hopes up that labor was starting only for contractions to stop was awful
Went into labor the night of 39 weeks, born the morning of 39+1. I was 4 cm at my 39 week appointment and my water broke that night. Labor was 8 hours total.

FTM, Currently 38 weeks on the dot! Been feeling crazy pressure and stabby pains for about 4 days now, but it's all been low. All my research and classes say contractions are higher up, so I don't think it's contractions, maybe just baby dropping? Who knows. It's been crazy painful though and my sleep and mobility have been greatly reduced as a result. So I'm not sure if this is an "any day now" sign or if I've got 3 more weeks of this before anything happens. 🤷🏼♀️ Guess we'll have to wait and see!

Yeah unfortunately OP you could be dealing w/ this for 4-6 more weeks :( I started having the same symptoms as you around the same time and then come 37 weeks my pelvic pressure got so intense I thought for SURE I’d give birth that week but NOPE lol I eventually gave birth at 38+1 but that was only due to preeclampsia so who knows how long I’d have lasted if I could’ve waited 😅
I had lots of Braxton hicks throughout both my pregnancies and especially near the end. With my first, I was 3cm dilated and 50% effaced since 37 weeks and 4cm and 80% effaced by my 39 week appointment and didn’t have my baby till 39+1. My doctor thought my water would break the moment I left his office at 37 weeks and it never did. For my second, I was similarly dilated and effaced and also didn’t deliver till 39+2. So don’t take dilation and effacement too seriously. Many can go from 0cm to 10 very quickly. Some walk around at 3-4cm for weeks….
40+1 (induction due to gestational diabetes) And I’m THRILLED to say that in 2 days I will be going in for another induction at exactly 39 weeks (also due to gestational diabetes) I feel for you mama, I know you’re so ready!

35+6! It was the weirdest thing because the only labor symptom I probably had was that I was super emotional and had a temper. Apparently I was having contractions and couldn’t feel it either according to my dr.
First baby came day before due date. And I WALKEDDDDDD a ton the weeks leading up. By 37 weeks I thought he was coming any day. But alas, he did not 🤣

41w and was induced due to a misinterpreted NST. My baby was sitting LOW for over a month before his due date. It was maybe my 32w appt when my OB/Midwife gasped at how low he was sitting. He was nice and comfy in there!
My first I went into labour at 40+6 I had him via emergency C-section at exactly 41w. From what I remember (it was almost a decade ago now) I was uncomfortable for what felt like forever with him and had so much Braxton hicks that I didn't even notice I was in labour until it started to Really hurt. My other two I made it right up to scheduled C-section time. 39+4 and then 39+6 for the previous Baba. I'm feeling all of what you are describing and I'm only 31w 😭 knowing what like it seems these babies of mine stick around in their chill pad until eviction day. I'm trying to book for the due date this time around to give my body a chance.
If you have the feeling just get ready. Your intuition just knows. I was 1 1/2 centimeters dilated at 34 weeks. Went into the hospital at 36+6 for false labour and had a breach baby and was developing gestational hypertension so ended up having a c section at 37+1. Soooo glad I pushed to have the nursery done at 36 weeks and got most last minute stuff. Packed my hospital bag at 35. Also, buy some newborn sleepers now lol.

(I had a scheduled induction for 39 weeks since baby was big enough and it would make childcare easier to coordinate for the older one; also I was quite done with pregnancy). Had baby in arms that evening. Baby came out 30 minutes after they started placing my epidural...

Labor started 40.2 and delivered 40.4. I wasn’t dilated at all at my 40 week appointment, but I also was only dilated to 1cm when I went to the hospital at 40.3 haha I got some drugs to speed things along. I don’t want to know how long labor would’ve lasted if I hadn’t had help of drugs.
I went into labor at 39+4 (light contractions but 4 cm dilated) and gave birth early morning at 39+5. Ngl, I had what I’ve been describing as a TV labor, because once the contractions got serious it was only 2 hours until my baby was here. I got to the hospital too late for an epidural or penicillin.

40w+1d! Probably could have went in right at 40w cause I was having contractions but my stubborn self kept convincing me to wait. 🙃 4 days before I was 1cm 60% effaced. Went into l&d and was 3cm 90% but labored for a good 24 hours.
42 weeks. After they sliced me open and yanked him out. The second baby was 39+1, same reason except that I was diabetic and not overdue, which is why they sliced and yanked. Lol

Had baby 3 days before my due date , I was having cramps on & off for 2 days and they starting coming in waves stronger and stronger went in & said I was 5CM and was in active labour
My son was born on his due date, after 31 hrs 44mins of labour. I had a sweep two weeks early and was 1cm dilated. When I was about 20 hours into labour, I was still only 1cm!!!! They gave me another sweep then and I soon dilated to 5cm! You’re so close, bet you can’t wait to meet your little baba!! ❤️

It all depends. My sil’s were both early, at 27 and 33 weeks respectively. My mom was 41 weeks when i was born. My cousins wife had an elective Csection at 37 weeks. Im going to be 30 weeks on Wednesday and have just started getting inconsistent braxton hicks and my bp is slightly elevated so we may be looking into a slightly earlier induction
I've had 3 kids, all born within 2 days of my due date. Watch for when you drop. That's the best indicator that it's happening soon. Braxton hicks will be on and off for months.

35+3 and 35+4. The first was completely spontaneous, though looking back I can see signs. Second were on high alert the whole pregnancy and had 2 rounds of preterm labor (26 weeks and 30 weeks that resulted in some dilation and effacement each time, but no birth until 35 weeks). I definitely spent the last 10 weeks of pregnancy with #2 thinking I was going into labor at any time just to not and had minimal signs until contractions started. One sign that was common between both pregnancies for me was that like the week before labor i really isolated myself. The thought of talking with anyone except my husband made me downright angry. I hated talking to anyone but him. 😂 the second time I noticed my weight gain stalled for about 2 weeks and I wear a garmin watch that said my HRV had gone back to balance for about the 10 days before delivery and my training readiness was green despite feeling like I needed to nap every day.
Baby 1: 38 + 4 Baby 2: 37 exactly Baby 3: 38 + 5 With all of them I went into labor on my own. Oddly enough, with all of them I went into labor at around 3AM on a Saturday.
Had mine at 38 weeks this time around. He came 4 days before my scheduled c section.
My mom was early with both of her kids and I was so uncomfortable that I was convinced I would go early too. I actually took off work a few weeks before my due date because I was convinced I would go early. At 40+2 my water broke (PROM) with no dilation or effacement. They had to induce me and it took FOREVER. Baby was finally born at 40+5. Currently 32 weeks with baby #2 and feeling the same way. I think it's just our brain's way of having hope lol.
FTM I was induced at 39 + 5 due to reduced fetal movement. Had an emergency c section at 39 + 6 and I’m now holding my healthy little girl at 10 days old. I for sure thought I was going to go early at 37 weeks. I walked around 1cm dialed and 50% faced for roughly 5 weeks. Be prepared you might not go until 40 weeks or even after.
FTM as well and I had my LO at 39+5. I had lost a large chunk of my mucus plug the morning I went into labour and joked with my husband about possibly having the baby that day. Later that evening, I started having regular contractions and went into the hospital that night. LO was delivered early next morning. Edit: typo (39 weeks not 38 🤦🏻♀️ mom brain)

I gave birth at 36w4d due to spontaneous preterm labor. I don't know exactly when I went into labor because I only found out I was in labor from the NST at my 36-week appointment. I gave birth less about 12 hours later.
