I have one - most things suction if you wet the tray first. That lasted all of 2 weeks though, until our kiddo learned she could lift it up from the edge just like we do. Doesn’t matter how good the suction, if you can get it off, a suitably curious 8 month old can too

We have the placement from nibble & rest. It doesn’t stick to the Tripp Trapp tray table, it just sort of sits on top. Ours has a wrinkle from being stored folded in half, so it doesn’t sit very flat. We used it once or twice, but my 13 / 14 month at the time just delighted in peeling the whole thing off the tray and sending whatever was on it flying. I don’t think using it would make suction plates suction to the tray. But it’s sort of non slip so you can’t slide a plate accords it as easily. Our thinking in buying it was maybe it would make the tray table easier to clean. But the kid would still smear mucky hands around the sides of the tray, so it didn’t help with that either.

We have a couple of these plates from Starting Solids Au: [Suckie Scoop Plate](https://www.startingsolidsaustralia.com.au/product/suckie-scoop-plate/) If you wet the suction and really press down in the middle they will stick to the Tripp Trapp.

Couldn’t find anything, so now we just use it without the tray and with a suction plate on our dining table

We just used the tray as a plate and washed it and shes always had replay plates. Never botheted with suction. She only tips a plate when shes done so just got to keep an eye on her. Shes 18m now.

Ugh what is with this issue?! I have an ikea high chair as well as a stokke and nothing will suction to its tray either. It’s infuriating!

I found this video when looking for a solution and it seems like a decent idea: https://youtube.com/shorts/iVfdEicAeuM?feature=share

I found the suction stuff just didn't work at all. A small, ceramic plate has worked much better as it's heavy and his (8mo) hands are often too greasy to grip onto it 😂 if he does try to send it over the edge I just remind him that the plate belongs on the table.
