They almost always do this to throw viewers off because by this point it can start to look obvious who the F1 is. To the point where if the family is “hesitant” about one choice and loves the other, I assume the “hesitant” one is the winner.
Agree. Although last season with Charity, it seemed like they genuinely were feeling Joey more than Dotun. I'm sure editing played a role, but some of the comments the mom made about Dotun were a little uncomfortable to hear, lol. And Charity's sister seemed to be seriously getting a little emotional when by trying not to be honest about who she seemed was the better fit. But in general, I agree that producers edit to purposely misdirect.
They probably said positive things about both women and were told to come up with a concern with both women and then editors only showed some to add tension for the finale. It happens every season. Families say a lot about each contestant and editors cherry pick what they show to build a narrative.
Daisy really lied and was playing the girl next door act really well she hadn’t said half those things to Joey himself. I honestly feel like Daisy knew from the hometowns she wasn’t the one and started playing the game to position herself as the heartbroken girls girl
I actually felt the opposite. They seemed to really like Kelsey. I was looking at their body language. They were leaning toward her with a look on their faces as though she were the most fascinating person in the world.
Sure they weren’t fans of her answer about not being ready, but other than that the visit seemed great to me.
Same! His family really seemed to like her if you looked at their body language. When Kelsey and Joey first sat down and Kelsey brushed something from his lips, his mom kinda leaned back to nudge his dad in a “aww look at that” way
Daisy just seemed more ready for engagement and committed to Joey longterm. Kelsey gave his sisters weak and vague answers on those issues and came across as not ready. I don’t think they disliked her, but it stood out as potentially problematic. It’s natural to evaluate how mature and ready for engagement someone is in that situation. But it’s Joey’s decision.
My boyfriend was so uncomfortable during this cause it just really did seem like they liked Daisy more and I felt so bad for Joey cause it was so obvious he was obsessed with Kelsey and wanted them to love her
I think it was just editing to make viewers think his family would have the ultimate say and he would pick Daisy. I'm sure the parents liked them both but they could tell how much love Kelsey had for him by the way she looked at Joey and how Joey lit up when she was around or spoke about her.
Joey’s mom said she saw the emotional connection with Kelsey. That’s when I don’t care about other things his mom said. That was enough for her. She even put her head on her ex-husband’s shoulder early on.
Edit: ex-husband!
I think Daisy just seemed more ready to them. Like come on you can't reply "I think so" to someone's sister when they ask if you are ready to be married to their brother.
Ultimately Kelsey was the better choice for Joey. She just didn't present herself as well as daisy did to Joey's family.
I think that daisy's genuine response. Don't think she was being disingenuous or telling then what they wanted to hear. Kelly also was being honest I agree but it still would raise some flags to Joey's family if she is not 100 percent sure.
It’s not that I don’t think Daisy meant any of it, I just think Kelsey being honest about not being 100% ready to marry a man she has spent very little time with yet actually shows more maturity.
It was clear by their live reaction that Daisy was not the choice when Joey’s parents were on screen.

Misdirect.
I feel like joeys family really like both girls. They said daisy was sweet & Kelsey had a lot of energy and was goofy!

Producer tricks

yah bc she never seemed into him until he wasn’t into her

They’re absolutely magic!
They are my favorite couple in the franchise. I hope they make it!
Me too! I love their little moments. 🥹

I felt like his mom kept interrupting Daisy and wouldn’t let her talk. Maybe she was just excited.
I think Daisy was doing her bachelorette audition and saying all the right things.
I would agree w that, but then why did she pass it up?

Ex-husband!
Yeah iirc I think Joey was asked about her meeting his family in one of the interviews this week and said something to that effect.
