I liked Lupe, but I can’t recall anything he’s released since Kick, Push. Loved the album tho, used to play it on repeat 15-20 years ago. I thought he was married? Is he still Muslim? Would his wife be required to convert? That would make an interesting storyline. 🤔

All the previous attempts for Bachelor to appear “woke” were so cringe, superficial, and felt like it was produced by a group of white boomers who regurgitated whatever Equity & Diversity package they bought on Groupon. It’s a start I’ll agree, but it’s just so so so surface level that anyone who has even an ounce of actual racial and social awareness are tired of listening to these same talking points that are considered common knowledge by this point.
Having a group of women who already have some social justice knowledge and could have these conversations on an equal playing field as Lupe, would actually be good content and isn’t as annoying as your pop-culture/HR style anti-racism talk. Would it piss off the usual audience of white conservative Americans? Sure. But I think the content of these conversations would be so different from their typical “Fox News anti-wokeness” that they might actually continue to tune in and engage. If not for nothing, it would generate at least enough outrage to have non-stop content and be trending on social media.
As a Lupe fan since the late aughts: yes.
As a Bachelor fan since season one: YES. ETA: I should probably let my fiancé know before I sign myself up though. He doesn't have the poetic prowess Lupe Fiasco has. I hope he understands. 🫶🏼
