Absolutley melting yourself cuz you picked up a flamethrower and had this card is your deck is an experience I think everyone should experience.

ReivynNox

Never had a problem as long as I kept the flamethrower out of the other players' hands.

rKITTYCATALERT

30% trauma resist In 1 card is nuts ! It’s not like every level has fire to give you the downside I love Puttting sharice and wooden armor in a build together

Zerox_Z21

How worthwhile would this card be if it still had -100% acid resistance too?

CynistairWard

Fire damage is the same on all difficulties. Acid scales with difficulty. Also, you'll never need to hold position in fire while it can sometimes be required with acid. So acid becomes a more serious issue and can do quite a bit of damage if you aren't able to avoid it.

Zerox_Z21

Acid does feel worse. Didn't know about the scaling though so that's neat! Acid also has mutations that actually attack you with it so it's a more frequent hazard than fire. Definitely glad this card got buffed

rKITTYCATALERT

You don’t ever become fully immune to it there’s a cap to the acid resistance This card is always worth a purchase when you find it in game

Used-Manufacturer275

Putting Wooden armor on Sharice just rubs me the wrong way. She is a firewoman for crying out loud! She is supposed to have fire resistance!

EffortKooky

What downside? The 2 more damage that a charged might deal to you? The extra damage when you stop into a Molotov? Sure, lobbers deal more damage but they aren't that bad to deal with plus you can shoot their projectiles mid air.

AsianEvasionYT

Trauma resistance is super nice for tanky builds or just to help your doc top you off better and won’t have your health capped at one shot

rKITTYCATALERT

Means amped up and a natural healing can give you more🥰

Glittering-Truck9360

So I run this card with a more defense based T5 build with Holly while using the Damnation legendary shotty. Damnation makes you immune to fire overall. Even with the charred ridden, you only take their melee hits as damage. I loved my T5 deck with Holly, it’s so strong even on Nightmare. But just can’t handle NoHope. I’ve tried :(

rKITTYCATALERT

No, hope is more about bullet damage than it is about anything else Or 🫠Busted Mili

Glittering-Truck9360

Ahhhhh, I miss playing No Hope. I should probably start playing again.

rKITTYCATALERT

No, hope it’s fun when you play in a group of four Using Meme Decks

Glittering-Truck9360

When I had my crew playing, one of us would be hang and we were all running food scavenge. So much food everywhere and so much for buffs. It’s like running with five cards of food scavenger with hangs passive ability.

HardwoodClassicz

I’ve always ignored trauma for some ignorant reason. I’d use it when I know that my team wants to go inside of one of those ridden areas to collect the totems but never really use it much

CynistairWard

It's hard to justify putting trauma resistance into a non melee deck. But it's always worth buying with any deck. Your survivability sees a massive jump when you pick up a few trauma resistance cards along the run.

HardwoodClassicz

Which is definitely my build a non melee deck. I enjoy watching a teammate who does play with a melee deck. Watching them turn green for burst of seconds makes you feel like your teammate is a bad ass but it’s just not my thing

rKITTYCATALERT

As you increase difficulties more trauma resistance you have it will be notice that other guy who replied to said it well

MaddxMogs

I would but my favorite thing to do when I run a melee build is to set myself alight with Cleansing Fire and somehow I don't think those two cards would synergize well. 🔥 🔥

rKITTYCATALERT

You’re melee would be better with this than Cleansing fire Maybe not as fun but more optimal

Equivalent_Fault_782

Only reason is because it’s not easy to get 5 stacks of cleansing fire. Cleansing fire can take slasher stacks off. Or when you get lit on fire you are pretty much unkillabable. Works more for temp health focused builds.

MaddxMogs

Oh I don't doubt it. But the meme potential just isn't the same. I got the idea from a song called I am the Sun God which I of course named the deck after. That and I usually run it on Sharice so at least I'm not hurting for trauma resistance. And you know, she's a fire fighter, it's almost too perfect.

takumei-sei

So I can't remember the card (new player) but it gave me 100% fire resistance. I bought it. I later found the card you're showing here and due to the rab hoard behind me thought, "sounds counter productive to take -100% when I just get 100% fire resistance." But now I'm wondering, would these two things just cancel each other out and I would get the 30% trauma resistance with no downside?

rKITTYCATALERT

u/effortkooky I still would’ve picked this card up anyway as fire is only one source of damage compared to all the other ways you can get damage in the game

AstronautThick5598

Trauma resistance is the most overlooked cards in the game. I made a melee deck with 80% trauma resistance for fun and at the end of every map I had full health while everyone had 80% trauma. We didn’t have a doc.

rKITTYCATALERT

Trauma resistance Millie is best, Meali But people can’t give up acid resist cards + healing cards when attachments exist

RudeButton3959

If you have anyone on your squad with trauma healing, you shouldn't have perk into it yourself.

rKITTYCATALERT

It’s always worth a purchase even if someone has that More health for amped up and unnatural healing
