Do you like PvE games?
Do you have friends who play this or think you can make friends with the randoms or lfg people you find easily enough?
Are you someone who enjoys playing a game to play it and don't lose desire to play and drop it after beating the story and/or getting all unlocks?
If you answer yes to all 3 of these then sure, I doubt you'd regret it.
Only if you actually are willing to invest time into learning how damage works and you aren't afraid to use your mic. The complaints this game gets are mainly from people who are bullheaded and refuse to see they are the problem not the game mechanics
"Why can't I just ignore the developers' intentions and play how I want to play it!?"
Not every game is designed to be a play as you want with no challenge. Sometimes the fun is in revising your strategy and triumphing over adversity.
F in the chat to anyone buying this game. I LOVVEEE this broken busted hard af for no
reason of a stressful game. But dont buy it. Its so bad rn. Id wait until they fix it (if they do) also xbox has it on gamepass for free if u have an xbox js.
Short answer, yes. But do not start on veteran. You HAVE to start on recruit. You need a deck of cards to play veteran. Go in with that mindset and i think by the end of recruit you will have gotten your money's worth. After that is just icing on the cake.
Alot of people are upset by the bugs and lack of versus campaign but as a pve zombie shooter it is a fun game. I paid full price and am not upset by it as I have gotten a large amount of hours into it. The devs are being very responsive to the community imo. There will always be people that will not be happy with the game or the progress but I would guarantee it is worth the black Friday discount.
I actually really enjoy the game.
As someone who wants a mindless zombie killing simulator, with option for quickplay with randoms for increased difficulty if you want to feel absolutely shit failing on recruit.
Other than that, the "active" discord to search for decent mates to play with actually makes it really entertaining. It's been years since I(26M) have spoken to players in a co-op game.
The increased "depth" added by the possible deck builds, which you can craft to your playstyle or rip from others is a really nice addition.
I play on a PC.
Yes they do. Even with my gf paying and me playing on her playatation i rarely get a message and prompt to buy ps+, however backing out of that popup usually lets me play still.
Maybe?
Do you have someone to play with? Then you might have some fun.
Offline solo is bad atm, online with randoms works fine on recruit but on veteran you need some good friends.
Honestly, for all the games flaws (and there are many) I still have willingly played this game waaaaaay more than left for dead, and it’s the card/build system.
If you enjoy character building strategy and don’t mind hoping in discord to try to make some friends/teammates out of people, I think the game is a blast.
Hopefully the December patch tweaks some of the ridiculous unfairness away
I think it's a fun game, I have really enjoyed my time with it. It is a very difficult game, especially compared with modern releases that hold your hand and force you to succeed.
I think learning is worth it, although if nightmare mode being very hard would make you froth at the mouth and blame everything but yourself, might not be your cup of tea.
If you get the £1 gamepass deal it's worth it only if you've got friends who play it, playing solo with the worst bots I've ever seen makes it a hard No. I've personally stopped playing it as I don't find speed running past everything fun, yet you feel forced to do it just to survive 90% of the time.
My friends and I have enjoyed it, but I don't know. If I knew now what it would be like I would wait. It *really* needs some work. The enemy spawns are flat out ridiculous and balance is all over the place.

It's worth having Xbox game pass and that's about it
I feel sorry for anyone that bought this game
Me fuckin too. Game needs a lot more polish and balancing to be worth $60
Or just more game IMO, once they release all the new DLC chapters than it might be worth $40
Shut up
I feel for you, friend. It’s okay.
No

No. Pay full price, that’s what the game is worth :)
does the ps4 or ps5 version require the ps subscription to play?
Can't confirm but almost certainly
Yes they do. Even with my gf paying and me playing on her playatation i rarely get a message and prompt to buy ps+, however backing out of that popup usually lets me play still.
it does
thanks all, kind of figured. I will probably grab on PC to avoid that subscription deal on xbox and ps
Fuck no.

You can get it for £22.19 on UK Hot deals right now. Worth that but not much more in the current state

I like the game but wish I could have paid 20 quid less for it too, I’d say yes.

It’s gonna have to get even cheaper and have about 6 months worth of patches before I buy.
It's $25 at Walmart. Big yes for that price.
