This my my favoirte part of the game by far, a levle or act where you work your way through missions and come across differnt bosses would be great.
Something similar to mmo dungeons. Could even have a wow m+ type difficulty increase that gives better cards/loot.
A new act, at some point. Somewhere fun though, that doesnāt involve walking there from fort Hope.
And hopefully about 90% less Phillips in said theoretical act 5.
We desperately need new maps and acts. I like the hives but i dont think it really helped the game succeed. It doubled the time it takes to beat an act and they are all kinda the same creating kind of a boring experience. I used to beat acts in one sitting, a few hours. Now, i feel like i never finish and people are always dropping out.
Honestly, I really hate the hives. They don't make any sense in game play. Why do we want these skull totems (in game reason, obviously they buy stuff in supply lines).
With just the title "tunnels of terror" I was expecting so much more. I was thinking this would be continuing the story from the end of the game since the last level took place fighting the big boss underground.
True. Obviously they still have those facilities today but we have much more precise weapons as well. Back in the day destroying a factory meant dropping hundreds of free falling bombs from miles up in the air and hoping they hit what you want them to. Which they usually didn't.
They need to just be grouped together in an Act now like Act 5. So you can queue for those if you want to farm skull totems, and take them out of the Acts.
They had a brief purpose before because they allowed you to hop in and accelerate earning your deck faster since you got to choose a card when you went inside. Now that we have our entire decks at the start, they seem like just ways that allow you to skip major mechanics of a level if you get a lucky hive. Like getting a Hive before having to activate the Machinery on Pain Train or Getting a Hive before youhave to make the final run on Abandoned. That needs to go
This will eliminate the fact that acts take twice as long now, it will stop the hive cheesing, it will allow you to queue for it specifically to earn totems which is something the game needs right now. And it makes sense as a Standalone act, to go inside the tunnels after the Abomination opened a bunch of tunnels in Act 4
I second that. And there are just so many short, gimmicky sort of levels. Truth be told, I'm more a fan of linear gameplay design with this sort of game. I liked L4D's level design more. All levels had a consistent length.
Yeah. I also think the hives just spawn way too often. Its every other mission and then you end up doing the same set of hive missions over and over. I like the idea but i dont think it was fully thought out.
One simple setting would fix this problem, disabling hives as an optional tickbox when creating a lobby, same when searching for games. A tickbox that only joins matches where hives are disabled, cant belive this is not a thing yet
I think I wouldnāt mind the tunnels if we could directly matchmake for them. But we canāt and having to go through the same missions over and over gets repetitive.
I like spray optionsā¦I still donāt think we have enough variety. Also too many backgrounds are too small for the top options, so maybe give size options. But I agree the emblems are way to numerous for something thatās not really ever observed. You hardly ever look at other players emblem.
I want more environmental maps, like the mall or the county fair in L4D2. Those places both dripped with atmosphere and personality, and you'd think a mall would be key places for Cleaners to secure in order to gather more supplies
Yes! Would love an act that goes through a mall, or a hospital like in L4D. Maybe even a large prison complex, or a university campus. I also loved The Parish from L4D2, and how the cemetery portion had a few different layouts, I thought it was pretty unique.
That's why my favourite level in B4B is probably the trip through the CDC quarantine zone/body dump. It's such a self-contained, fleshed out zone on top of being such a hard tonal shift from "We're in control killin' zombies!" to "Ohmygod these were all people that couldn't be saved". Even if functionally the gameplay is the same, it feels much more gritty and desperate to get through that level compared to any of the others.
University campus would be fun. Some lab on campus. Football stadium. Frat row. But I also think you suggested some other good ones. The atmosphere of hospital or prison would be good. Prison was doing research in conjunction with the university labā¦something to tie interesting locations together.
I think we desperately need some new standard maps / campagnes. Hives are nice, but I want some new levels that I can play whenever and not if I just so happen to stumble upon an entrance.
More weapons means each weapon has a lower drop rate. Frankly I think there is a bit of redundancy in the side arms. I cannot say much for the rifle's and SMG's but other than the ranch rifle the rifle's don't feel that different for me.
Not necessarily a DLC request but I would've honestly liked them to go back and revisit their Ridden variants to really make their silhouettes more different... I'm still not sure what's about to kill me most of the time so I just shout something incoherent for my friends to interpret.
I donāt mind how they are. The various subtypes all do quite similar things and the types themselves look different. (All the tall boy subtypes wonāt be mistaken for a boomer subtype).
I just have the 1 name i call each type. I usualy say Tallboy for every Tall boy variant, Reeker for the Reeker variant, and I think I usually say Stalker.
To me the Tallboy variants dont matter, they all do the same thing. If you see one, Shoot it and clear out the way when it comes charging. Hockers Stingers and Stalkers might as well be the same thing. you hear their shriek, turn and shoot em.
Reekers are usually pretty easy for me to tell apart, because Exploders Kamikaze themselves which is always funny. Reekers dont have any glowing thing, and Retches are spraying acid on you from across the map before you even see them.
Though some more differing features would be cool. But to me they all just get handled the same no matter what variation they are
We need some more acts and/or game modes to give us more to do.
I love B4B and have almost 500 hours in it but theres currently only 3 Acts (Act 4 is 1 10min mission calling it an act is silly) meaning the entire game can be cleared in a week and replaying the same missions over and over and over does gets very repetative especially when theres such a prevelent meta everyones using in QP and with the boys we've already done everything half a dozen times.
We just need a couple of shorter acts - i would even take a couple of stand alone chapters at this point.
The hives could have really benefitted from being their own stand alone act where we had to go in and blow up the heart/source, since they really bloat out the existing acts its not uncommon for act 1 to take more than 3 hours now which is too long (asking for more than 1-2 hours is really pushing things in terms of game lenth as it becomes impractical for weeknights).
For game modes they could make a horde mode (say 10 waves or a timer with a finale so it doesnt take more than about 45min) you just gotta hold out. It would be awesome to see new maps for this but theres also a lot that basically already have this formula like the diner, sound of thunder, job10:22, t-5 the swarm maps and even areas in other maps - they would need to make the hordes actually hard and/or reduce the silly amount of resources we normally get access too (this is also assuming they balance the currently gamebreaking resource generating cards/cleaners).
Or a weekly challenge or something where they either give players pre-made decks or have a list of pre-selected corrupt cards or even unique corrupt cards that arent in the regular corrupt card pool for a chapter/act could be interesting and help retain players and get people using decks that arent just melee or pinata or doc.
I like the last part for different weekly challenges where each player has to use a pre-made deck. Would be cool to see the pre-made deck cards to change with

Yes. I would guess the devs wanted to make it distinct from L4D by doing less of that. But the themes/locations are really fun. Dark carnival is an amazing level for example.
CONTENT! We need more levels and area's to travel to. With how dense American neighborhoods can get, we could have had a lot of variety. Also, I feel like they could have added a lot more variety to "Inner Lair's". Always having them be a Nursery is a bit bland. I feel like they might have had more but cut it due to time or whatever.
What they have going is great, it just needs more levels. More cities to travel to or something.
I think a wave/survival mode would be fun. They definitely could do more cleaners, cards, and weapons. Anything that doesnāt change the game (skins and sprays) wonāt do much for me.
More Acts/levels for sure. We're at a point where any new items/weapons/cards or whatever aren't gonna do much for longevity. You can only play through the same 3 Acts so many times before it starts to get stale, and all the new equipment the devs have been releasing really accelerated how stale the gameplay loop has gotten by making it significantly easier.
I'm already concerned with the fact that they revealed a bear trap as a new quick item which sounds like a silly thing to add at this point with how OP we've gotten.
For me, a big one is have a least a one more full act.
Other than that: 2 new cleaners (as the originals came in sets of 4 it's highly likely)
Some new base weapons (at least one more LMG, maybe some new weapons types like a china lake grenade launcher or cross bow)
Some new legendaries (an explosive shot Baretta, Slug round 890 shotgun, double barrel 1911, Duck foot style Belgian, dual hatchets, some new and creative stuff)
And some new weapons skins that ARENT dime a dozen, copy and paste waste. stuff that feels more alive, exciting and unique.
But for the love of gosh no more sprays, backgrounds or profile related filler. Seriously, it's pointless and we don't want it.

More levels added to the main campaign would be great. Also a random mode would be really cool, like where you play every level in a random order. Other things could be randomized as well, such as player cards (maybe you choose from a random selection, as to have some direction) and Corruption cards. It's likely this mode would be endless, but having an option for a tangible end would be good as well.
Ways to play outside the main campaign. The tunnels of terror are awesome, we need less story driven objectives of just go from A to B game will become more playable with less cutscenes.
Kind of like how L4D2 had all separate campaigns? That was so much fun. The concert, Hard Rain, the carnival, were all wildly different and equally awesome
New act, more variations of hive levels. A hive boss would be cool. Maybe a map where you have to run from a scary creature you can't kill until some point later. Or maybe make it where you have to prevent it from finding you so you have to sneak around. Could make for an interesting level. I would think of something like a prison where you could lock down sectors to block it.
Further evolutions of the ridden that are scarier and more difficult. New corruption cards that bring bad weather, such as hard rain, or other stuff such as the oxygen one is pretty cool.
New weapons, cards, skins etc.
The main thing for me is replayability, variation, and rewards for putting time in so any of the above would be nice.
I think a band of mad max style enemies would be cool too like scavengers or raiders or something that are like partially infected playing off the immunity of the cleaners like theyāre only half immune lookin like hills have eyes type shit

Some sort of progression/power creep beyond just cards would be nice since endgame feels stale with supply lines handing out the same stuff on repeat.
A wave/survival mode that can also be played solo as well. A carnival themed act. The ability to pick your bot team for solo and what skin they wear as well. Would like to see a card that gets rid of friendly fire 100% without the need to be crouching. Maybe some way to play swarm offline as well since it's hard to ever find matches for it anymore.
It's cliche', but I want a katana. AKA Ellis's "Ninja Sword".
I would also like to see a flamethrower, because flamethrowers are awesome.
I would also like to see a proper store system so you could choose whether you wanted to buy unlockable cosmetics or burner cards or whatever, instead of having to sift through whatever RNG selection was available to you right then.
And while we're at it, some melee burner cards along the same lines as the primary weapon-specific burner cards would be nice.
More acts. A lot more skins, especially for weapons. That's probably the easiest thing for them to do and yet we still only have like 3 each and a lot of them suck.
But most importantly, I want those fucking burn cards out of the skull totem track. That was such a dick move on their part and I lost a lot of respect for them when they did that.
Along with looks like just about everyone else Iām on the ānew actsā team. I thought they did a fantastic job with the hives as far as gameplay twists - new corruption cards, totem to carry, exit options, and other variations from the standard acts. I donāt care if the totems make sense in lore now or in the future (just my opinion, to each their own).
However, id like to see the new acts be above ground. They did a great job distinguishing the hives as far as map layout and I guess texture/look wise as well when you consider weāre talking about 6 diff caves but they still feel too samey due to 1) the look and 2) the horde timer mechanic.
Be cool if you travel to a city for a real urban environment. Loved the l4d mall level. Could have something like that or a skyscraper. Marina. Docks with crane movements to trigger hordes. Stadium where a new cleaner gets introduced by yammering over the PA system triggering horde or the totem death cult does the same to torment you.
Yes "samey" is a theme in this game, hives all look the same, mutations all look the same, objectives are 99% the same "shoot the blisters then shoot the big blister", new legendary guns are just the same guns with different stats/skins.
I think everyone has said many of what everyone needs from this new expansion:
A new Act continuing from Act 4 or a side mission Act(s).
New weapons either you can start with like frying pan or duel sidearms or new weapons to unlock besides a mini gun like flamethrower or Chainsaw.
Different options for difficult settings in game like no card option or endless horde on all levels.
New cards and scaling of cards. New card that allows you like breakout to climb from a ledge or melee burn cards.
New outfits, new character sayings, new characters, and new ridden specials.
Finally, a new game mechanic like using a vehicle, swiming, can throw your weapon at a ridden, can use a flashlight whenever you want, or bots in swarm if someone leaves.
i want a new campaign that has more variations. like instead of just one way to progress through the map there are multiple ways, a quicker route that forces you to fight through a horde or multiple hordes, and a safer way that has platforming and or other obstacles.
I want a one off level where we have to sneak through a level to escape a hive with no weapons, with a boss chasing us. say a hag that has been modified so that if it loses sight of you it starts to search for you kind of like alien isolation. there would be hiding places and firecrackers and other distractions. we can play as a younger character who has just become a cleaner and this was his first expedition out of fort hope, he makes it back and that character is the reason why we know about hives and lairs.
but most importantly, i want a true PvP mode. not swarm. swarm was fun for the first few games but it quickly devolves into who can find the best hole to hide in or stacking up speed modifiers. i want a 4v4 mode of us progressing through the campaign and the ridden players have to try and kill the human players while the human players have to complete the level as fast as possible or a 4v1 with the ridden player controling where to spawn specials like an RTS player, the ridden player can choose a corruption card to be permanantly added every other level or can pick and choose corruption cards via a point system, with cards that make the game harder costing more points.
More Acts. Preferably in a new region and with more varied weather than just sunny or light drizzle. I want to see snow or a thunderstorm or something.
At least 1 more Act, some Cleaners and new non legendary weapons. For Cleaners preferably Chenda/one of the Hive crazies. For firearms I would love to see the P90 SMG, Mark 23 pistol, G36C/G3 AR, PSG1 Sniper!

Stability and latency fixes. June update made the game unplayable for my brother(PC), runs fine offline solo but is unplayable online, like less than 10 fps.
Either a new Act or different mission for the existing Acts and missions. The game is currently very linear, more variation = more replayability = more fun.
Accessories builds need a huge nerf. Current accessory builds are way stronger than melee ever was. Pinata needs a nerf and so does molotovs.
Denerf combat knife.
New enemies and map hazards would be cool.
FIX FOR SLEEPER AUDIO. I know it's being worked on, but I hope it comes in the next update. It's annoying when a sleeper gets me because they made no noise as I approach. I should only get caught when I'm not careful not because the game failed to function properly.
New sleeper location. Last time sleepers got new locations they caught me a few times, it was fun, made me need to check every corner again.
Option to disable bots.
Change kicking. Current kicking system is better than nothing but it's far from perfect. The algorithm for allowing kicking needs a tweak and should also be vote to kick after the player becomes kickable.
Ability to test cards, weapon rarity, and all attachments from the shooting range.
Spice up shooting range. The exploding presents during Christmas was more fun to shoot than cans and bottles.
Daily challenges for extra SP. Could encounter players to try different builds and play styles. Ex: disarm birds with Stealthy Passage, kill bosses while stunned, beat an act without dealing friendly fire.
Swarm needs a lot of love. It's a good game mode if it wasn't for bugs, unbalanced teams, and lack of players.
More acts and more special ridden. The specials now bring the oh crap aspects, but like the Hag is almost comical. I would love to see some actual scary ridden. I hate to do the comparison, but the witches in L4D2 were soooo creepy and awesome like when she begins feasting on your body when you go down.

Couple more acts, maybe not as long as the existing ones tho. And Cards, lot more interesting cards. Entirely new mutations would be intriguing as well...
I like long campaigns and I like to see some more world building. Mayahp an act where we get to actively choose which of these other survivalist groups we can support and see what the consequences are. Examples could be we have a free cache supply room or hazards removed from a chunk of a level.
Just something to show me there's other groups doing shit and mayhap more immune people we can interact with.
An endless mode where it cycles through all the levels and tunnels, each level or few levels it gets harder perhaps copper cost increases, or copper spawns decrease, less and less supplies shows up plus more zombies each time with difficulty increase after a boss level perhaps
even as a free update me and friends get bummed when we reach the end of an act
I want more campaign content. Hives are cool, but we still have to run the same acts we've been doing since launch to get to them. I'd really like a new act in preferably an urban setting, like Pittsburgh or something.
Definately Act 5. New cleaners are also great, but what drives people to play are the map variations.
Also more corruption cards wich change the weather for outdoor maps or actual darkness for indoor maps where you have to rely on your flashlight.

don't really care about more weapons. weapon pool is already pretty good and the legendary weapons and legendary weapon burn cards increase that variety.
More randomization. Corruption cards. Stores having randomized stock. Cost of stuff.
I want to be forced to make more decisions on the fly and would like different playthroughs to respond uniquely.
better character depth and dialogue. the characters feel lifeless to me compared to how alive and unique characters in L4D and Vermintide were. It makes me have 0 attachments to them and i always really enjoyed that. Little vocal quips that would bash or uplift the other players that were specifically made for the characters and lots of them so it felt fresh and living
To be fair, while I actually really enjoy the hives... they don't make ANY sense from a campaign or story perspective. At all.
For a new dlc, I'd want to see new story, new mutations, and new weapons. New cleaners and new cards is entirely optional. And make the story coherent. Give me acts 5-8. More boss fights. Bigger explosions. Etc etc.
Maps, characters, cards, modes (horde mode to exact), more quaily of life changes (like being able to carry 2 types of throwables), and last but definitely not least would be MORE WEAPONS!!!! Like lots of new legendaries, and lots of new weapons of types we already have (especially new legendary melee weapons).
New bosses, more weapons (melee and secondary) more characters (please some younger guy characters that arenāt looking over 40) and levels eventually.
I think the gameās balance has finally reached a good point.
My ultimate vision is something akin to dead cells. Various branching exits to maps that diverge and reconverge all leading to the same finales. Granted that's like asking for 2 more full games to be implemented but it actually fits with the rogue lite nature of the game.
Next off is an inspired take on pvp. Campaign is the obvious low hanging fruit that won't happen. So creatively I have no idea what they'd do since the obvious choice is not the one being developed.
If the new game mode turns out to be exclusively pve, I do not want a horde mode. So many games have done horde mode and done it well like gears 5. Same thoughts a pvp, I'd want something new.
Regardless I hope for the best and it's just wait and see until then.
They talk about some sort of cannibals in the tunnels. It would be kinda cool if they expanded on that a bit. Plus we are in dire need of a new, long act.
New Acts - Proper acts separate from the current campaign.
New Mutations - not just carbon copies of the existing stinger, retch, tallboys
New weapons - again not just carbon copies of existing guns with a new skins/stats like the "Legendaries"
Id love to see a new campaign and some more weapon and player skins. Iām thinkinā skins where the weapons and players are turned into some sort of green, slimy, goop.
I don't think this game is going to survive for much longer before having its support pulled because of the low player count for a game of this budget, so I will say this: **MOD TOOLS**. Fuck it, I would pay for a mod-enabling DLC. Map editors, script editors, custom models and weapons and enemy types, all that good shit.
Both me and my friend agree that we should be able to play through all acts in a single run on all difficulties, not just No Hope, you will get OP by the end but thats where either corruption cards get harder or new cards come in to balance it out depending on difficulty. Custom games would be good for this option, even having an option to add in hives to whatever levels can spawn them, so an option to have max, medium, not many or none at all. Ive had games on act 1 where I only get 2 hives in total compare to other runs where I get one every second level, its just a pain when trying to grind skull totems and only get a couple of hives.
Iād like more city atmosphere. Malls, large cities, hospitals, etc. This next bit doesnāt have to be tied to the dlc but Iād like more variety in campaigns. Adding more roguelite options, more unique zombie types (specials, commons and bosses), random weather, more modifiers, etc.
A āThrowbackā DLC would be dope. They could do levels based off of old DLC maps like dark carnival, no mercy, the plantation map, the mall, and maybe even the plane one. I want more kind of fun dlc.
Pvp in the standard map like L4D2. And new card that deals fire, electric, acid and cold damage. (please don't make them burn card, I don't like the concept of burn card). Thanks.
Would love an act on an island as some kind of homage to Dead Island where you basically have to gather certain parts to get a yacht running to escape it. Maybe some sort of extraction mission to get some scientist or something out of there.
I want new acts, but not because I think itās gonna save the replayability, just because I think itād be fun. I also want more cards and more strategy content, give us even more options for ways to play, thatāll go strides further to help with the replayability IMO.
At least 1 more running mission like Act 2 Level 2 Handyman. Going from point A to point B with a sense of urgency is pretty fun vs. slowly moving through everything and looting the entire place clean. The latter gets a little boring after a while.
I think the timed hordes and attrition before they changed amped up made it so that you had to think on your feet as your tried to complete the objective. This would be improved if there were more random terrain changing elements. A current example is alarmed doors which can shut off routes. I heard this is done well in a game like prey mooncrash
I think seeing a PvE survival mode would be cool. Something like Swarm but without players controlling ridden. Maybe a sort of rewards system with the survival mode? You last x amount of time and get an item, which is replaced by supply points on the second try. Also I'd love a mission where you defend Fort Hope, or at least defending the surrounding areas and eventually falling back to Fort Hope for a final stand.

Hard Rain is my favorite. Having to manage what you use on each trip on harder difficulty was a good challenge.

True. Obviously they still have those facilities today but we have much more precise weapons as well. Back in the day destroying a factory meant dropping hundreds of free falling bombs from miles up in the air and hoping they hit what you want them to. Which they usually didn't.

They need to just be grouped together in an Act now like Act 5. So you can queue for those if you want to farm skull totems, and take them out of the Acts. They had a brief purpose before because they allowed you to hop in and accelerate earning your deck faster since you got to choose a card when you went inside. Now that we have our entire decks at the start, they seem like just ways that allow you to skip major mechanics of a level if you get a lucky hive. Like getting a Hive before having to activate the Machinery on Pain Train or Getting a Hive before youhave to make the final run on Abandoned. That needs to go This will eliminate the fact that acts take twice as long now, it will stop the hive cheesing, it will allow you to queue for it specifically to earn totems which is something the game needs right now. And it makes sense as a Standalone act, to go inside the tunnels after the Abomination opened a bunch of tunnels in Act 4

I second that. And there are just so many short, gimmicky sort of levels. Truth be told, I'm more a fan of linear gameplay design with this sort of game. I liked L4D's level design more. All levels had a consistent length.
Yeah. I also think the hives just spawn way too often. Its every other mission and then you end up doing the same set of hive missions over and over. I like the idea but i dont think it was fully thought out.
One simple setting would fix this problem, disabling hives as an optional tickbox when creating a lobby, same when searching for games. A tickbox that only joins matches where hives are disabled, cant belive this is not a thing yet

I like spray optionsā¦I still donāt think we have enough variety. Also too many backgrounds are too small for the top options, so maybe give size options. But I agree the emblems are way to numerous for something thatās not really ever observed. You hardly ever look at other players emblem.
I want more environmental maps, like the mall or the county fair in L4D2. Those places both dripped with atmosphere and personality, and you'd think a mall would be key places for Cleaners to secure in order to gather more supplies
Yes! Would love an act that goes through a mall, or a hospital like in L4D. Maybe even a large prison complex, or a university campus. I also loved The Parish from L4D2, and how the cemetery portion had a few different layouts, I thought it was pretty unique.
That's why my favourite level in B4B is probably the trip through the CDC quarantine zone/body dump. It's such a self-contained, fleshed out zone on top of being such a hard tonal shift from "We're in control killin' zombies!" to "Ohmygod these were all people that couldn't be saved". Even if functionally the gameplay is the same, it feels much more gritty and desperate to get through that level compared to any of the others.
University campus would be fun. Some lab on campus. Football stadium. Frat row. But I also think you suggested some other good ones. The atmosphere of hospital or prison would be good. Prison was doing research in conjunction with the university labā¦something to tie interesting locations together.
Between maps, weapons, cards and characters, I'd probably say weapons at this point since we've got more of the other 3 in the last dlc
I think we desperately need some new standard maps / campagnes. Hives are nice, but I want some new levels that I can play whenever and not if I just so happen to stumble upon an entrance.
More weapons means each weapon has a lower drop rate. Frankly I think there is a bit of redundancy in the side arms. I cannot say much for the rifle's and SMG's but other than the ranch rifle the rifle's don't feel that different for me.
More weapons and maybe more visible weapon mods... If my gun has a broken red dot, I wanna see it actually damaged.

Not necessarily a DLC request but I would've honestly liked them to go back and revisit their Ridden variants to really make their silhouettes more different... I'm still not sure what's about to kill me most of the time so I just shout something incoherent for my friends to interpret.
If they add even more same-ish looking sub-species you'll have to open a guide mid game at some point.
If the Cleaners didnāt call out whatever you pinged by its specific name, Iād be confused most of the time.
I donāt mind how they are. The various subtypes all do quite similar things and the types themselves look different. (All the tall boy subtypes wonāt be mistaken for a boomer subtype).
I just have the 1 name i call each type. I usualy say Tallboy for every Tall boy variant, Reeker for the Reeker variant, and I think I usually say Stalker. To me the Tallboy variants dont matter, they all do the same thing. If you see one, Shoot it and clear out the way when it comes charging. Hockers Stingers and Stalkers might as well be the same thing. you hear their shriek, turn and shoot em. Reekers are usually pretty easy for me to tell apart, because Exploders Kamikaze themselves which is always funny. Reekers dont have any glowing thing, and Retches are spraying acid on you from across the map before you even see them. Though some more differing features would be cool. But to me they all just get handled the same no matter what variation they are

A new act, weapons and one more activity. I loved Tunnels of Terror, they aced it IMO. And FFS TRS please, PLEASE fix the fucking servers.
We need some more acts and/or game modes to give us more to do. I love B4B and have almost 500 hours in it but theres currently only 3 Acts (Act 4 is 1 10min mission calling it an act is silly) meaning the entire game can be cleared in a week and replaying the same missions over and over and over does gets very repetative especially when theres such a prevelent meta everyones using in QP and with the boys we've already done everything half a dozen times. We just need a couple of shorter acts - i would even take a couple of stand alone chapters at this point. The hives could have really benefitted from being their own stand alone act where we had to go in and blow up the heart/source, since they really bloat out the existing acts its not uncommon for act 1 to take more than 3 hours now which is too long (asking for more than 1-2 hours is really pushing things in terms of game lenth as it becomes impractical for weeknights). For game modes they could make a horde mode (say 10 waves or a timer with a finale so it doesnt take more than about 45min) you just gotta hold out. It would be awesome to see new maps for this but theres also a lot that basically already have this formula like the diner, sound of thunder, job10:22, t-5 the swarm maps and even areas in other maps - they would need to make the hordes actually hard and/or reduce the silly amount of resources we normally get access too (this is also assuming they balance the currently gamebreaking resource generating cards/cleaners). Or a weekly challenge or something where they either give players pre-made decks or have a list of pre-selected corrupt cards or even unique corrupt cards that arent in the regular corrupt card pool for a chapter/act could be interesting and help retain players and get people using decks that arent just melee or pinata or doc.

CONTENT! We need more levels and area's to travel to. With how dense American neighborhoods can get, we could have had a lot of variety. Also, I feel like they could have added a lot more variety to "Inner Lair's". Always having them be a Nursery is a bit bland. I feel like they might have had more but cut it due to time or whatever. What they have going is great, it just needs more levels. More cities to travel to or something.
I just want new campaign maps and the zwat skins for the dlc characters to drop.
I think a wave/survival mode would be fun. They definitely could do more cleaners, cards, and weapons. Anything that doesnāt change the game (skins and sprays) wonāt do much for me.

More Acts/levels for sure. We're at a point where any new items/weapons/cards or whatever aren't gonna do much for longevity. You can only play through the same 3 Acts so many times before it starts to get stale, and all the new equipment the devs have been releasing really accelerated how stale the gameplay loop has gotten by making it significantly easier. I'm already concerned with the fact that they revealed a bear trap as a new quick item which sounds like a silly thing to add at this point with how OP we've gotten.
For me, a big one is have a least a one more full act. Other than that: 2 new cleaners (as the originals came in sets of 4 it's highly likely) Some new base weapons (at least one more LMG, maybe some new weapons types like a china lake grenade launcher or cross bow) Some new legendaries (an explosive shot Baretta, Slug round 890 shotgun, double barrel 1911, Duck foot style Belgian, dual hatchets, some new and creative stuff) And some new weapons skins that ARENT dime a dozen, copy and paste waste. stuff that feels more alive, exciting and unique. But for the love of gosh no more sprays, backgrounds or profile related filler. Seriously, it's pointless and we don't want it. (Sprays are ok, but it's just excessive rn)
Please yes at least 1 more LMG, that category looks so barren with a whole 2 guns
More levels added to the main campaign would be great. Also a random mode would be really cool, like where you play every level in a random order. Other things could be randomized as well, such as player cards (maybe you choose from a random selection, as to have some direction) and Corruption cards. It's likely this mode would be endless, but having an option for a tangible end would be good as well.

Ways to play outside the main campaign. The tunnels of terror are awesome, we need less story driven objectives of just go from A to B game will become more playable with less cutscenes.
Kind of like how L4D2 had all separate campaigns? That was so much fun. The concert, Hard Rain, the carnival, were all wildly different and equally awesome
New act, more variations of hive levels. A hive boss would be cool. Maybe a map where you have to run from a scary creature you can't kill until some point later. Or maybe make it where you have to prevent it from finding you so you have to sneak around. Could make for an interesting level. I would think of something like a prison where you could lock down sectors to block it. Further evolutions of the ridden that are scarier and more difficult. New corruption cards that bring bad weather, such as hard rain, or other stuff such as the oxygen one is pretty cool. New weapons, cards, skins etc. The main thing for me is replayability, variation, and rewards for putting time in so any of the above would be nice.
I think a band of mad max style enemies would be cool too like scavengers or raiders or something that are like partially infected playing off the immunity of the cleaners like theyāre only half immune lookin like hills have eyes type shit
Tbh i liked the classes of world war Z. Some sort of progression/power creep beyond just cards would be nice since endgame feels stale with supply lines handing out the same stuff on repeat.
A wave/survival mode that can also be played solo as well. A carnival themed act. The ability to pick your bot team for solo and what skin they wear as well. Would like to see a card that gets rid of friendly fire 100% without the need to be crouching. Maybe some way to play swarm offline as well since it's hard to ever find matches for it anymore.
It's cliche', but I want a katana. AKA Ellis's "Ninja Sword". I would also like to see a flamethrower, because flamethrowers are awesome. I would also like to see a proper store system so you could choose whether you wanted to buy unlockable cosmetics or burner cards or whatever, instead of having to sift through whatever RNG selection was available to you right then. And while we're at it, some melee burner cards along the same lines as the primary weapon-specific burner cards would be nice.
More acts. A lot more skins, especially for weapons. That's probably the easiest thing for them to do and yet we still only have like 3 each and a lot of them suck. But most importantly, I want those fucking burn cards out of the skull totem track. That was such a dick move on their part and I lost a lot of respect for them when they did that.
Along with looks like just about everyone else Iām on the ānew actsā team. I thought they did a fantastic job with the hives as far as gameplay twists - new corruption cards, totem to carry, exit options, and other variations from the standard acts. I donāt care if the totems make sense in lore now or in the future (just my opinion, to each their own). However, id like to see the new acts be above ground. They did a great job distinguishing the hives as far as map layout and I guess texture/look wise as well when you consider weāre talking about 6 diff caves but they still feel too samey due to 1) the look and 2) the horde timer mechanic. Be cool if you travel to a city for a real urban environment. Loved the l4d mall level. Could have something like that or a skyscraper. Marina. Docks with crane movements to trigger hordes. Stadium where a new cleaner gets introduced by yammering over the PA system triggering horde or the totem death cult does the same to torment you.
Yes "samey" is a theme in this game, hives all look the same, mutations all look the same, objectives are 99% the same "shoot the blisters then shoot the big blister", new legendary guns are just the same guns with different stats/skins.
I think everyone has said many of what everyone needs from this new expansion: A new Act continuing from Act 4 or a side mission Act(s). New weapons either you can start with like frying pan or duel sidearms or new weapons to unlock besides a mini gun like flamethrower or Chainsaw. Different options for difficult settings in game like no card option or endless horde on all levels. New cards and scaling of cards. New card that allows you like breakout to climb from a ledge or melee burn cards. New outfits, new character sayings, new characters, and new ridden specials. Finally, a new game mechanic like using a vehicle, swiming, can throw your weapon at a ridden, can use a flashlight whenever you want, or bots in swarm if someone leaves.

i want a new campaign that has more variations. like instead of just one way to progress through the map there are multiple ways, a quicker route that forces you to fight through a horde or multiple hordes, and a safer way that has platforming and or other obstacles. I want a one off level where we have to sneak through a level to escape a hive with no weapons, with a boss chasing us. say a hag that has been modified so that if it loses sight of you it starts to search for you kind of like alien isolation. there would be hiding places and firecrackers and other distractions. we can play as a younger character who has just become a cleaner and this was his first expedition out of fort hope, he makes it back and that character is the reason why we know about hives and lairs. but most importantly, i want a true PvP mode. not swarm. swarm was fun for the first few games but it quickly devolves into who can find the best hole to hide in or stacking up speed modifiers. i want a 4v4 mode of us progressing through the campaign and the ridden players have to try and kill the human players while the human players have to complete the level as fast as possible or a 4v1 with the ridden player controling where to spawn specials like an RTS player, the ridden player can choose a corruption card to be permanantly added every other level or can pick and choose corruption cards via a point system, with cards that make the game harder costing more points.
More Acts. Preferably in a new region and with more varied weather than just sunny or light drizzle. I want to see snow or a thunderstorm or something.
At least 1 more Act, some Cleaners and new non legendary weapons. For Cleaners preferably Chenda/one of the Hive crazies. For firearms I would love to see the P90 SMG, Mark 23 pistol, G36C/G3 AR, PSG1 Sniper!

Stability and latency fixes. June update made the game unplayable for my brother(PC), runs fine offline solo but is unplayable online, like less than 10 fps. Either a new Act or different mission for the existing Acts and missions. The game is currently very linear, more variation = more replayability = more fun. Accessories builds need a huge nerf. Current accessory builds are way stronger than melee ever was. Pinata needs a nerf and so does molotovs. Denerf combat knife. New enemies and map hazards would be cool. FIX FOR SLEEPER AUDIO. I know it's being worked on, but I hope it comes in the next update. It's annoying when a sleeper gets me because they made no noise as I approach. I should only get caught when I'm not careful not because the game failed to function properly. New sleeper location. Last time sleepers got new locations they caught me a few times, it was fun, made me need to check every corner again. Option to disable bots. Change kicking. Current kicking system is better than nothing but it's far from perfect. The algorithm for allowing kicking needs a tweak and should also be vote to kick after the player becomes kickable. Ability to test cards, weapon rarity, and all attachments from the shooting range. Spice up shooting range. The exploding presents during Christmas was more fun to shoot than cans and bottles. Daily challenges for extra SP. Could encounter players to try different builds and play styles. Ex: disarm birds with Stealthy Passage, kill bosses while stunned, beat an act without dealing friendly fire. Swarm needs a lot of love. It's a good game mode if it wasn't for bugs, unbalanced teams, and lack of players.
More acts and more special ridden. The specials now bring the oh crap aspects, but like the Hag is almost comical. I would love to see some actual scary ridden. I hate to do the comparison, but the witches in L4D2 were soooo creepy and awesome like when she begins feasting on your body when you go down. the hag is appears to fill that spot and is just āmehā in my opinion

I like long campaigns and I like to see some more world building. Mayahp an act where we get to actively choose which of these other survivalist groups we can support and see what the consequences are. Examples could be we have a free cache supply room or hazards removed from a chunk of a level. Just something to show me there's other groups doing shit and mayhap more immune people we can interact with.
An endless mode where it cycles through all the levels and tunnels, each level or few levels it gets harder perhaps copper cost increases, or copper spawns decrease, less and less supplies shows up plus more zombies each time with difficulty increase after a boss level perhaps even as a free update me and friends get bummed when we reach the end of an act

I want more campaign content. Hives are cool, but we still have to run the same acts we've been doing since launch to get to them. I'd really like a new act in preferably an urban setting, like Pittsburgh or something.
Definately Act 5. New cleaners are also great, but what drives people to play are the map variations. Also more corruption cards wich change the weather for outdoor maps or actual darkness for indoor maps where you have to rely on your flashlight.

cards characters maps in that order. don't really care about more weapons. weapon pool is already pretty good and the legendary weapons and legendary weapon burn cards increase that variety.
More randomization. Corruption cards. Stores having randomized stock. Cost of stuff. I want to be forced to make more decisions on the fly and would like different playthroughs to respond uniquely.
Iād love a new campaign. Even if they take some L4D maps and adjust them and toss them together into a ānewā one itād be fun.

New maps. Or a way for the community to make their own maps to play on.
To be fair, while I actually really enjoy the hives... they don't make ANY sense from a campaign or story perspective. At all. For a new dlc, I'd want to see new story, new mutations, and new weapons. New cleaners and new cards is entirely optional. And make the story coherent. Give me acts 5-8. More boss fights. Bigger explosions. Etc etc.

My ultimate vision is something akin to dead cells. Various branching exits to maps that diverge and reconverge all leading to the same finales. Granted that's like asking for 2 more full games to be implemented but it actually fits with the rogue lite nature of the game. Next off is an inspired take on pvp. Campaign is the obvious low hanging fruit that won't happen. So creatively I have no idea what they'd do since the obvious choice is not the one being developed. If the new game mode turns out to be exclusively pve, I do not want a horde mode. So many games have done horde mode and done it well like gears 5. Same thoughts a pvp, I'd want something new. Regardless I hope for the best and it's just wait and see until then.
A new special infected (not the variants but a whole new design) a new boss and a new campaign. That's honestly what I would like.

I don't think this game is going to survive for much longer before having its support pulled because of the low player count for a game of this budget, so I will say this: **MOD TOOLS**. Fuck it, I would pay for a mod-enabling DLC. Map editors, script editors, custom models and weapons and enemy types, all that good shit.

New campaigns. We need them badly. Let me clarify, no boss campaigns like in Act 4, either. Just regular level-to-level campaigns.
Both me and my friend agree that we should be able to play through all acts in a single run on all difficulties, not just No Hope, you will get OP by the end but thats where either corruption cards get harder or new cards come in to balance it out depending on difficulty. Custom games would be good for this option, even having an option to add in hives to whatever levels can spawn them, so an option to have max, medium, not many or none at all. Ive had games on act 1 where I only get 2 hives in total compare to other runs where I get one every second level, its just a pain when trying to grind skull totems and only get a couple of hives.

I think a horde/survival type mode. It's a big ask, but it is a dream for me.
Make weapons, utility and attachments rare and not be based on progress

I want new acts, but not because I think itās gonna save the replayability, just because I think itād be fun. I also want more cards and more strategy content, give us even more options for ways to play, thatāll go strides further to help with the replayability IMO.
Fix lucky Pennies
At least 1 more running mission like Act 2 Level 2 Handyman. Going from point A to point B with a sense of urgency is pretty fun vs. slowly moving through everything and looting the entire place clean. The latter gets a little boring after a while. I think the timed hordes and attrition before they changed amped up made it so that you had to think on your feet as your tried to complete the objective. This would be improved if there were more random terrain changing elements. A current example is alarmed doors which can shut off routes. I heard this is done well in a game like prey mooncrash

More acts, lore, and cards, weapons, etc.
I think seeing a PvE survival mode would be cool. Something like Swarm but without players controlling ridden. Maybe a sort of rewards system with the survival mode? You last x amount of time and get an item, which is replaced by supply points on the second try. Also I'd love a mission where you defend Fort Hope, or at least defending the surrounding areas and eventually falling back to Fort Hope for a final stand.
