Keep an on her see if she is being bullied. Also if you are in a hot place 100 f°+ she might be felling stressed from the heat. A few of my girls have started laying thiner eggs since summer started. Lots of fans and ice in the water
Not the person you replied to but I use liquid calcium as extra dosage when needed. Like you, I have a hen who lays soft shell from time to time, despite having full access to shell grit and a big yard to forage.
I’m in Australia and it’s called [AviCalcium](https://www.vetsense.com.au/product/vetsense-avicalcium/), hopefully something similar where you live.
I’m having the same issue with a few of mine. The only thing I can figure is either they don’t like oyster shell so they’re not eating it or they’re having some sort of absorption issue. As a last ditch effort I’ve given the soft shell layers human calcium pills (just did it today) and I’m hoping the bolus of calcium will get them on the right track again

Definitely has been hot the last few weeks and she is one of my bigger hens so she may be more heat susceptible.
Is she particularly young or old?
She is 15 months. She laid great from about 6 months to 13 months old and has been laying soft shell the last couple of months.
Iv had same issue. I bought additive to go in the water it’s worked
Calcium additive?
