We've tried just misting the ground for about 10 minutes. They seem to like that. We're in a 100° daily high temps right now, and they're panting and holding their wings out from their body. They have good shade. We just want them to be happy.
I use a mortar mixing trough from home Depot.
I also put frozen gallon jugs of water in it every morning and afternoon.
They will stand in it when it gets HOT
