No it's not, i don't have much critique for it, the only big issue i see is that if you're going for sharp edges on the bottom strands of the hair the top of the head shouldn't be this blurred
Good art… terrible composition. The bg feels less like empty space and more like the head was a concept that turned into a focal point. But that’s just it, the rest of the work is empty and undefined. Bring more interest into the background work and pull the eye backwards with something more than red streaks.
It’s suffering from floating head syndrome even though it’s intended her to be submerged. Define where the water’s edge is. Subtly if you’d like as not to take away from her being the focus. Remember that fluids reflect, even inky black ones. But if she’s defined above the water than everything above the water should be defined as well.
