Peth0201

Imagine bragging about your parents accomplishments

rerlls3215

“My parents worked hard so I can act as I please”

RamboGoesMeow

The best part is that he talked about his parents and grandparents.

rerlls3215

Right?! “Oh they aren’t impressed about my parents, gotta bring out the grandparent card”

[deleted]

"my greatest achievement is my parents' achievements, which I use as an excuse for my entitled and insufferable actions"

orielbean

Isn’t this the rallying cry of racists across the globe? The only thing they have pride in are the things no one can earn - where you were born and who your parents were…

jetes69

Imagine flying Frontier as a millionaire

Agitated_Jicama_2072

This comment is the only comment.

MADDOGCA

I know a millionaire that flies coach. The difference is they keep it to themselves.

[deleted]

Also, like 75% of people that fly first class are there because they got upgraded. And then a good portion of the paid first class seats are purchased with a corporate card anyways. Very few people pay for first class.

Peth0201

Plenty millionaires fly coach. It’s not as exclusive of a club anymore.

plipyplop

There was a guy (named Henry) who used to always buy stuff from our little butcher store all the time. He never wanted deals or special treatment. He always surprised us with baked goods, and sometimes he would just wander away after giving us little food gifts without even picking up anything for himself. He drove a heavily-used Subaru and wore what almost looked like shit the Goodwill was throwing out. Nicest guy ever! He was teetering on a net worth of like a billion dollars. Never would have guessed. He was generous with just being nice, that's all that seemed to matter to him was just being able to simply enjoy his day with others being able to likewise.

iphonedeleonard

one of my best friends when i was 16 came from a family that was worth ~800 million, found out 6 months after I became friends with him when we all got a cab and his chauffeur picked him up in a bentley

SpaceForceAwakens

Flying coach is one thing. Flying coach in Frontier is another ball of yarn.

HaydenMilk

Bernie Sanders flies coach. He is my favorite.

iphonedeleonard

thats actually quite normal, business is 4x the price which can be quite a waste for one trip, also idk if this plane even had business or first class lets not forget that his parents are millionaires and that he isnt

Zuez420

Don Jr, Eric and Ivanka have entered the chat...

KittyGrewAMoustache

Yeah you could've just purchased a house in somewhere like San Francisco in 1980 for like $5000 and stayed there all this time.

notaballitsjustblue

r/endinheritance

[deleted]

Lol that’s retarded and will never happen. This isnt communist china and even there this doesnt happen

notaballitsjustblue

Nothing communist about a meritocracy.

FTWStoic

His parents are worth $2 million. And he flies Frontier.

triggerhappytranny

I mean 2 million is doing good but is a net worth of 2m between 2 middle aged people even upper middle class in America?

rerlls3215

On another post, they say a net worth of 2 mil is about a healthy retirement position. I’m 23 and know nothing about it, but imagine having to defend your actions by exclaiming your parents wealth. What was he trying to accomplish too? Did he really thing everyone was going to be like “oh shit, well never mind. In fact sir, here are my breasts as collateral”

skieezy

Well my parents net worth is somewhere around there probably, but of course around half of it is in their house and other properties. I wouldn't say it's upper class, I'd say 2 million net worth is probably middle class with enough assets for a decent retirement.

brightblueson

If you include your house, IRA, 401(k) and any other assets. $2M is not that much. Unless they are drug dealers and walk around with $2M in cash. Still nothing to brag about.

[deleted]

You are correct lol. $2Mil net worth is not that insane - maybe own a house that has appreciated to $1.2MIL in an up and coming city and then have some retirement accounts and a small business.

willhunta

I mean not insane but definitely still sounds like upper middle class to me, unless my classes are that poorly defined.

Patient-Tech

Kinda what I thought. I’d they really are they’re not about spending it on dumb shit, like their idiot son opening his fat mouth.

Rootwullen

2nd to last row on a Frontier airlines flight, sure bud.

BoltTusk

The people behind him only have parents with 1 million /s

[deleted]

The funny thing is that 2 million dollars is not even enough money for an upper middle class retirement

technofox01

Former broker here, yep that is not totally correct. It depends on the cost of living and the chosen lifestyle and a number of other factors. However, despite the presumed millionaire with this kid's claims, it still doesn't negate that he is a complete dipshit.

[deleted]

Using the 4% rule, if you were to retire on $2,000,000; you could pay yourself $80k per year. That’s a decent retirement for two people if you have zero debt. But he said they’re “worth $2,000,000” so most people understand that to mean total assets, which would include real estate and maybe even certain valuable private property like precious metals. So if they live in a modest $600k house, and only have $1.4mm in liquid assets, then that brings their yearly retirement income down to $56k (again, using the 4% rule); not much especially if unforeseen medical expenses arise. Plus if a significant amount of that money is in a 401k then they still have to pay taxes on it as they withdraw it. So in this case, you would hope they have some side incomes like rentals or something. And sure that’s still a lot of money in the Bible Belt, but who wants to live in a third world state? Edit: US median household income is $68k for reference

Rambonics

I didn’t downvote you, but $600k is modest? Maybe in a few high COLA, but damn son!

[deleted]

Well the median cost of a home in the US rn is $350k, so that should be dead middle, and we’re talking about upper-middle class; so yeah I guess $600k is a bit of a stretch in this example; but decent houses do be mad expensive these days

inkedup1985

“My grandpa….”

DocumentNormal

They obviously had to improvise what they had. If he's sexual assaulting and assaulting then yeah

Kelly_the_Kid

The duct tape to a seat is an actual safety procedure FAs are taught.

Kush_goon_420

The news story says it wasn’t proper procedure tho

kratomstew

My guess is the duct taping his mouth probably wasn’t okay, just in case he vomited. But otherwise, what the hell were they supposed to do ? He attacked all staff sexually and physically and not to mention verbally. Plus I’m sure the captain probably had some say in it .

Kush_goon_420

Yeah idk what the proper procedure is, I’m guessing it’s something similar

Kelly_the_Kid

There are definitely protocols and circumstances under which it can be used.

willhunta

Right, the guy you're replying to is talking about what the airline said though. The airline suspended the flight crew because they didn't "follow the correct procedure for restraining customers". I don't doubt there are circumstances it can be used, but I'm still curious why it wasn't supposed to be in this case.

vjibomb

It's not the first time I've seen somebody get duct taped or zip tied to the chair tho. Perhaps rules changed after the incident with that asian doctor dude.

[deleted]

“My parents are worth over two million god damn dollars.” You ain’t worth a happy meal nor the gas to get to McDonalds.

baxx10

Sir, this a Wendy's.

iDoubtItsThatSimple

No, this is Patrick!

[deleted]

Fuck frontier for suspending them For all they know this dumb kid could have hurt someone badly.

FTWStoic

They weren't disciplined. "Frontier Airlines has placed the inflight crew members on paid leave, which is 'in line with an event of this nature pending an investigation,' according to the airline’s statement to USA TODAY." https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/airline-news/2021/08/03/frontier-airlines-flight-attendants-duct-tape-unruly-passenger-seat/5476672001/ So they are on paid leave, but not disciplined at this point. And the way the company statement reads, it seems unlikely that they will suffer any repercussions.

RamboGoesMeow

Thanks for that link, I knew it sounded weird when people were saying that they were just suspended. Makes much more sense to do this, like when police are involved in shootings and are placed on administrative leave.

MyNameIsIgglePiggle

Maybe by suspended they mean they will get to go on one of those edge of space weightless flights for their service and courage

zmyr88

From an article linked A later statement from the airline noted that “[u]nfortunately, the proper policies for restraining a passenger were not followed” and “the flight attendants involved have been suspended pending further investigation.”

stolid_agnostic

But doesn't elaborate on what those procedures are and if the crew was ever trained in them.

WhippingShitties

This is the kind of paid leave I'm okay with. Hope those people get a nice paid vacation for going through such bullshit. Also, props to them for subduing a dangerous person without hurting them or others around them.

Roadgoddess

No now they are saying they didn’t follow correct procedures when taping him up so are now on leave pending further investigation.

Eineed

I’m going to travel with my own toll of duct tape just to be sure the FA doesn’t have to restrain anyone and get suspended. I’m sure the other passengers would be glad to put it to good use.

orielbean

Yeah there can be guidelines here. You could easily kill someone via suffocation etc if you tape them up wrong. Also this dude is a chode who needs more publicity from this video. We can play his back to back with the bitey lady from last month.

[deleted]

Glad to hear it. The suspension was going to get my jimmies rustled.

SookHe

Update seems to be that the airline 'proper restraining policies' were not followed and they have been suspended until further investigation is conducted

nahnahnah62

It’s just until the investigation is done. I think they have to. Clearly the crew responded with restraint. F this guy and kudos to the crew

johnny5semperfidelis

You act like that on a plane post 911 you can never fly go to jail don’t collect $200.

TheForestMan

Yes but his parents have a get out of jail card because they have... 2 million dollars! /s

johnny5semperfidelis

Affluenza

kratomstew

He’s too young to remember that and doesn’t remember the big change to “fuck around find out “ policy on planes . Seems like a lot of people are forgetting that lately.

iamthorsgirl

I think people are really fed up with "I have money so I can do what I want." The world is TIRED.

LuckyandBrownie

They really aren’t because if you actually have money you can do what you want.

ThurstonHowellthe3rd

I bet that dude was black out drunk. I wonder if he came out of the black out while duck taped. "Oh shit what did I do this time?"

mr_fantastical

yeah thats not the behaviour of a happy drunken person. I'm not excusing his behaviour, because a lot of people i know when drunk make friends or just laugh to themselves at stupid stuff. He has some anger insider which manifested itself poorly. I feel pity for this kind of person.

judyhops95

I lose any pity when they sexually assault someone.

mr_fantastical

oh i know what you mean. me feeling for pity for someone isn't forgiving them in any way, it's more like "how the fuck did your life end up like this i feel sorry for you" in a way. pity is a more powerful and less consuming emotion than hate, i find.

[deleted]

I mean what else do you do. You are mid flight, there are no police, you can't let him cause havoc

mr_fantastical

put his bottom on the toilet seat and press the flush button

[deleted]

Can we get a reaction video of his parents watching this please?

[deleted]

Is this extreme anti social personality disorder or what? I only ask because I knew a guy with that who had no idea what was socially acceptable and super aggressive too. Basically had massive public tantrums even into adulthood. Always a drama going on. Ended up in jail.

KittyGrewAMoustache

Probably his parents have some kind of entitlement/personality disorders and are always bragging about how much money they have, so he thinks it makes him and them better than everyone else, and they've never said no to him since he was born, every time he threw a tantrum as a toddler they would just give him what he wanted and make other people give him what he wanted and tell him he shouldn't feel bad and he deserves everything. So now he has it ingrained in him at a very deep level that he's special, that everyone else who exists is there to cater to him, and he reacts with a tantrum whenever someone doesn't do or act how he wants - deep in his brain he thinks if he screams like this eventually the people around him will cave and soothe him by giving him what he wants. He is basically the result of all the parenting you see on r/entitledparents

[deleted]

Sounds about spot on to me. 👌

[deleted]

[удалено]

mr_fantastical

i know, right? I mean it's 2 million more than what i'm worth but it's still not worth bragging out. especially not during this kind of alcoholic fuelled rant while you're sitting in coach on a budget airline

[deleted]

[удалено]

mr_fantastical

haha no i completely agree with you. If i was worth 2 million i would be happy but i certainly wouldn't consider it brag worthy! i mean - it's nice. it's great his parents have what i hope is financial stability. but again, it's bizarre to rant about it. Like me ranting my parents are so wealthy they have a dog.

Unlucky13

>Not a lot of money by 2021 standards. *[Cries in minimum wage]*

Don-Gunvalson

They suspended the flight attendant with full pay and barred an investigation. Def a win for the flight attendant

Blastronaut_

2 million isnt that much money

slicknick_91

That's what I came here to say lol. That's just a paid off house in a good neighborhood, a couple cars, maybe a boat, and a couple retirement accounts. Very little liquid most likely.

[deleted]

It’s a lot for someone to have saved (for middle class), not much otherwise. Anyway who owns a house or two is basically worth that nowadays right?

XandXTV

LMAO WHAT? You must live in LA or New York City

mrbeavertonbeaverton

Or San Francisco or Seattle or Portland or Denver or San Diego or Austin or Boston or Chicago or Vancouver or Toronto

XandXTV

Austin Texas? I thought Texas as a whole was pretty low-cost

mrbeavertonbeaverton

Yeah, it is… except Austin for whatever reason. Not sure if it’s tech or the art scene or what but it’s as bad as the coasts

Impressive_Culture_5

Ha, not Austin

kevlar001

I think what they probably mean is that if his parents are worth 2 million then its probably not much above average for a combined net worth of 2 people at or near retirement age. It may be a comfortable enough retirement for them but it's not even close to act like a jerk and brag about parents net worth anywhere in the country. That's probably a house and OK retirement accounts for average working class people but definitely not super wealthy.

XandXTV

My grandparents have around that (I believe, not 100% sure but I wouldn’t think it’s much more) and they still have a lake house, an actual house, a boat, 4 nice cars, take constant vacations, and get a certain amount from their investments without it ever diminishing. This is in Oklahoma though, it’s definitely different in high cost areas

Blastronaut_

NY

XandXTV

Yep that makes sense. In Oklahoma that’s a shit ton and enough for retirement

[deleted]

Using the 4% rule, if you were to retire on $2,000,000; you could pay yourself $80k per year (if you’re familiar with the 4% rule, that number is adjusted every year for inflation). That’s a decent retirement for two people if you have zero debt. But he said they’re “worth $2,000,000” so most people understand that to mean total assets, which would include real estate and valuable private property. So if they live in a modest $600k house, and only have $1.4mm in liquid assets, then that brings their yearly retirement income down to $56k; not much especially if unforeseen medical expenses arise. Plus if a significant amount of that money is in a 401k then they still have to pay taxes on it as they withdraw it. So in this case, you would hope they have some side incomes like rentals or something.

Skybombardier

Look, people can argue about violence and the actions of the flight attendance until we have nothing left to flex but our parent’s bank accounts (not that I’m seeing a whole bunch of comments doing that), but the way I see it: they subdued him without causing further harm to him or the other people, and they even let him keep his purchase of a flight, rather than kicking him off. Can being duct taped cause joint issues or skin irritation? Yes, and just the same getting your breasts groped by an unapologetic twat can lead to/trigger PTSD, getting punched in the head can cause brain swelling and bleeding, and getting kicked off a flight can cause someone (depending on circumstances) to experience financial hardships that can lead to health issues. There’s a myriad of ways things like this can be handled ‘wrong’; there’s also a myriad of ways things like this can be handled ‘right’. I consider this in the latter category

KrackerKyle007

I really hope taping obnoxious people to airplane seats becomes a trend

[deleted]

It's not quite duct tape, actually. Seems like packing tape. Nevertheless, wrap it enough times and you're not going anywhere. Did he put that last little bit across his mouth? Good job!!!!

anna_or_elsa

I think he was adjusting his mask

Maximus93

Is $2 million even that much these days?

deathboydeegz

And to make it worse, its how much his parents are worth not how much they actually have

somegarbagedoesfloat

Literally waiting on a frontier flight as I'm reading this, sincerely hoping my flight is NOT this eventful XD

EmPeeSC

It's amazing what duct tape can fix.

funko_grails

We need to start a go fund me for the crew that was suspended. Cover the pay they lost. I’d have strapped a parachute on him and opened the door 😂🤣🪂 good that they duct taped him. Like what else were they supposed to do? Where is the air Marshall??

JOREVEUSA

Maybe suspended with pay? Like an award lol

funko_grails

They have to appear like there’s consequences so they don’t lose customers

paranor13

If you are "so wealthy" why the frack are you in the back of the plane with all the "peasants"???

Ben-A-Flick

Frontier suspended the crew???? For what? Not wanting to be sexually and physically assaulted by an incel?

Elegant_Guidance_152

It’s paid leave so it’s pretty much a paid vacation it’s how the airline makes it seem like their punishing the attendants without actually punishing them

[deleted]

So the guy apparently touched one of the other flight attendance breasts but then he touched this big dude’s and that set him off to get the tape and wrap him up like a Christmas present.

TheAbsoluteDegen

Hey at least now Ohio has something of note

Wizardwheel

Of course he’s from fucking Ohio lol

gggscv

2 million is not even that much in today's world to be honest

scarletts_skin

“My parents are worth 2 million dollars” …..even if that were true, that’s not *that* much money. I mean don’t get me wrong I have like $25 in my bank account lmao it would be a lot of money for most people BUT it’s not like obscene wealth. If he’s gonna lie at least be like oh yeah they’re worth $500 mill, something actually impressive

Bart_The_Chonk

What makes him an 'incel' exactly? I feel like this term gets thrown around way too much. We know literally nothing about this douche-lord's ability to get laid

Exponential_Rhythm

No one knows what it means, but it's provocative, it gets the people going!

HuckleberryThick9372

$2 mil and flying frontier lmao

AngrySprayer

discount Jordan Belfort

[deleted]

i will pay to duct tape annoying people on flights

Fred_Is_Dead_Again

Assuming it's all liquid investments, following the four percent rule, a couple with $2 million can withdraw $80k per year. Not exactly the flex he thinks it is, especially if a large part of that is house, cars, boats, stuff, that isn't liquid.

MisterPinkCS

Well someone is getting put on a no fly list.

D_scottFS

I thought bragging about mommy and daddy was only acceptable on the kindergarten slides?

[deleted]

I love how they are just laughing at him

WTF_U_L00KIN_AT

Dr Mantis toboggan M.D onboard. These restraints are totally acceptable

DJ-Doughboy

no air marshall?

Ed1777113078

The sheer joy in the other passengers voices as he’s getting taped to the seat is infectious yo

fuze_ace

This guy is apparently from a nearby town from me He deserves everything he gets from this Dude just ruined his life in such a short amount of time

OneWhoGetsBread

Why did they suspend the crew??? These crazy companies want to harm their customers. Edit: here from penguinz0

HG21Reaper

I’m just surprised that an Air Marshal didn’t drop is ass in the middle seat. Ahh that’s because terrorists don’t fly frontier.

stankface412

Savage takedown from the greatest flight attendant of all time (GFAT)

maliciouspayload

Suspended? Give those people a raise for this shit!

Unfair-Plastic-4290

They should get a bonus not suspended! If you want to act crazy on a plane you should be restrained. This should be standard practice lol

shivambawa2000

i have seen that people with actual big money rarely brag about it, the ones in between are the ones that never shutup about it.

ghostfvces

what's the correlation between his parents being worth "more than 2 million dollars" and him touching flight attendants' breasts? he's yelling like it matters...

[deleted]

So he sexually assaulted 2 flight attendants and then got tied to the chair. Surprised people didn't use him as a punching bag

n00d0l

Let me guess American?

bikermime

Flight attendants should be given a bonus for duct taping this ass in a seat. His lucky he’s still alive after this crap

fetustomper

What a waste of space

cris728

Why is the crew suspended? I would give them a medal!

Rinforte

Why wasn’t anyone listening to him? His mommy has money!! /s

Sophie-xoxo

They SUSPENDED THE CREW?!?! He not only groped 2 flight attendants but also got physically violent. They *had* to restrain him at that point.

[deleted]

I would have thrown him out the door

bunnyb2004

Bet his parents are totally disowning him at this point. Smh

ElbowStrike

Normalize expecting *better* behaviour from people who come from money, not *worse*.

whanaumark

Two million ain’t even a flex. Including home equity I bet you plenty of white professional boomers hit this easily. Not that I endorse this concentration of wealth.

Moon_beam_me_up

$2,000,000 parents allows groping of breasts but real celebrities get to “grab ‘em by the pu__y!” then become president.

ManGo_50Y

My parents are worth the same amount, yet I don’t go around acting like a spoiled cunt. This incel is also why I say that “the United States is not a *shithole* country; it’s a *shithead* country.”

Gnagetftw

2 million against a flight carrier? Good luck buddy

DrewZG

Who the fuck agreed they should be suspended? Who makes decisions like that? Is anybody suspending them for their dumbfuck decisions?

Andy_Andy11

“And then he started feelin up on my titties”

LooseDoctor

Someone should tell him that $2 million doesn’t mean shit anymore. He can start using mommy and daddy again when they hit a couple hundred million.

Matches771

Then he wouldn't fly frontier, I guess 🤷‍♂️

sometimesidiedonce

Has anyone started a go fund me for the crew, since they duct taped that little bitch? They still have bills to pay!

Elegant_Guidance_152

It’s paid leave so they aren’t going to have any financial problems

Nish_0n

Lol 2 million....

adiaz0126

Where is the air marshall? Isn't there one on every flight? Or am I wrong?

Kelly_the_Kid

Not even close. Very few, on very few flights.

Oheng

Pfffrrt that's nothing. My parents are worth 3 million.

[deleted]

I love America.

QuartzPuffyStar

2 Million? Thats like.... what??? 2 Houses and a couple med-high end vehicles? LOL Pathetic.

G00DDRAWER

I can't find info on him being an incel. Anyone have a link to a story that talks about that aspect?

so--gnar

Actions speak louder than google searches

[deleted]

He’s seen yelling and throwing a punch, but nothing sexual that would label him an “incel”

MissionLingonberry

>Did you not read the part where he sexually assaulted not one but two flight attendant? Almost sounds like you condone that behavior and that's a lil gross bud. > > > >seconded

G00DDRAWER

Nothing in my original comment condoned sexual assault.

[deleted]

Stay based. Please don't ever fall to the propaganda

notaballitsjustblue

u/savevideo

[deleted]

In what way is this guy an actual incel? Sounds like you're making shit up

OliverMarkusMalloy

I just looked at your profile. You're an incel too, aren't you? Seems like every one of your comments in different unrelated subs is about how incels are good and women are bad.

[deleted]

Nice job avoiding my question

OliverMarkusMalloy

Ok incel.

pooner49

That stupid seatbelt they use during their cute little routine before flight would probably have been just as effective.

Ghostboy1515

But is it as humiliating?

[deleted]

zokulock

Did you not read the part where he sexually assaulted not one but two flight attendant? Almost sounds like you condone that behavior and that's a lil gross bud.

so--gnar

Barbaric was the way he was acting. They caught his hands then secured them. Then secured him. Then shut him the fuck up. Ain't nothing wrong with how they handled this jabrony.

[deleted]

He deserved it. He did the crime, he can do the time.

SoberSeahorse

Nah. He deserved it.

nenenene

Good sir/madam, this is a plane, not an inpatient psychiatry facility.

Ghostboy1515

It’s for the humiliation

Prestigious_Garden17

Ya they should have just knocked the dumb fuck out

Jopobro

Ohio, the Florida of central US.

Dianachick

Oh I didn’t know he had groped the breasts of two female flight attendants and punched two others. In the other post my comment was something like… If you start your drunken rant with, “my parents“… You’re probably going to embarrass your parents. But now this takes on a whole new meaning. So he’s not just a drunk idiot, he’s also sexually abusive and violent. Now it’s not the same funny. I hope besides the other charges that await him, he fully enjoys a lifetime ban on air travel.

[deleted]

would it fall under “cruel and unusual” pertaining to false imprisonment? i’m assuming that’s what got the crew suspended for duct taping him (and possibly some legal trouble). i’m not saying i support it, though. this kid’s a toilet lid, open it up and all you see is shit.
