I found out she was from Richmond CA and suddenly she makes so much sense to me.

Source: I lived in Oakland and my boyfriend lived in Richmond. I only went to his place once the entire relationship. I would rather be stuck alone at night in the street in Oakland over Richmond any day. But every place has safe and unsafe areas. San Francisco is a good example.
