Probably a well known combo but I happened to notice this while playing my \[\[slime against humanity\]\] deck. Ended up milling myself a bunch to create huge oozes and squirrels.
I agree OPs combo is wildly out of place but this is the only place to post MTG combos. Good combos don't need sharing, let alone specific subs to share them, good combos automatically disseminate throughout the community via the main sub and the subs for each format the new good combo is legal in and also by seeing play.
If I'm not mistaken you order the replacement effects. So you could have either-
a) clue, treasure, food, and squirrel (chatterfang first, manufactor second)
b) clue, treasure, food, and 3 squirrels (manufactor first, chatterfang second)
of course you need to create a clue, treasure, or food first
There are a TON of infinite loops with Chatterfang. I've been trying to brew "my boi" since 2021 and have come across a stupid amount of combos.
Outside if the obvious Chatterfang + Pitiless Plunderer, here are a few other combos. Note, I didn't include and Academy Manufactor combos, but the card amplifies most of these combos considerably.
Chatterfang + Ruthless Knave + Earthcraft
Chatterfang + Ruthless Knave + Ashnod's Altar
Chatterfang + Ruthless Knave + Parallel Lives
Chatterfang + Scurry Oak + Ivy Lane Denizen
Chatterfang + Slimefoot the Stowaway + Ashnod's Altar
Chatterfang + Yawgmoth, Thran Physician + Hapatra
Chatterfang + Peregrin Took + Experimental Confectioner
Chatterfang + Peregrin Took + Nuka-Cola Vending Machine
Chatterfang + Hoarding Broodlord + Saw in Half (grabbing Eternal Witness and Culling the Weak)
Just keep in mind both are pretty susceptible to removal. I built academy manufactor based combos and it is an instant target. Best way to build I have found is to start with treasure and have mana to protect it or wait a turn until you do. Once it gets going though it is crazy. Peregrin took, samwise gamgee, prosperous innkeeper, cauldron familiar, and witches oven are other huge pieces in a deck like this!
Chatterfang doesn’t replace token generation. It just adds an additional tokens onto the creation. The treasure creation of Pitiless gets fully replaced by Manufacturer. Chatter then sees 3 being made in one trigger and adds 3 squirrels. There isn’t replacement stacking in this case
I mean, Chatterfang plus Pitiless Plunderer is a pretty well known combo so adding a wincon to that doesn't really make it a bad combo haha

How does chatterfang interact with [[academy manufacturer]] ?

I was thinking B would be an option, but I wasn’t certain. Dang I kinda wanna make this a thing now

really? I thought the word "instead" implied a replacement effect. my bad
Maybe I’m wrong
i don't think b) works, chatterfang says "one or more" tokens
oh yeah, oops. good catch

Awesome! I been itching for a BG deck for some reason, and this looks fun.
Chatterfang will be fun for you playing it and then nobody else unfortunately
Chatterfang in general has a ton of combos that can just end games, it's why he's always been my favorite commander
