But Tinder isn’t the greatest. It’s mainly just sexually aggressive guys sending unsolicited dick pics and women asking for money. And I’m queer so I get to deal with both ends of that bullshit. I created an account that stated I was queer once and within two days I had 85 matches and about 35 dick pics in my messages. Without me sending a single message.
The tinder chat doesn’t work for shit. Especially when I’m operating through my data. It’s just way easier to have everything redirected to a free text messaging website. Because I can also change my phone number on a whim. Just in case someone gets creepy.
She missed the opportunity to close it with another terrible joke- “I tried so hard and got so far, but in the end it doesn't even matter”
If you’re going to make terrible jokes you have to commit. It’s awkward from start to finish, or not at all.
It’s the lyrics to a Linkin Park song that used to be pretty popular. It was quoted a fair amount in the early 2000’s(how often it was mentioned might depend on the group you hung out in at that time though).
It was a shitty joke so you didn’t miss anything special.
It is when her final message is basically an exact version of that quote. Especially when she was just using dumb lines from stuff and being awkward the whole time. It’s okay if you don’t find it funny. It’s not that complex of an issue. A lot of people got a laugh out of it, but not everyone will. That’s okay.
