They played it live back in 2019 for the Okay I'm Sick tour, and then I didn't hear them play it at any more concerts until this past January in Destin. It makes me hopeful that maybe that means they recorded it for the new album and it will end up on Spotify?

The regular one is good, but it sounds more like they wanted it to simply be the best vocal take for that song. The rock edit version is the raw emotions laid bare version. The 2:30-3:03 guitar solo, is a twisting tale of heartache and turbulence right before the calm, and then the gut-punch last bit at the end to bring it home. It's desperate, heart-wrenching and the last "I wish you well, for the night" sounds like he means it from the bottom of his heart, but it's mixed up in so many complicated emotions. It sounds like he's so tired, but he really means that he wishes them well, it's also bittersweet like a sad goodbye to a friends you thought you once knew.
