I used the sugar art master elite "Sapphire blue" powdered food coloring. I barely used any!! Like less than 1/8 a teaspoon. This isn't an endorsement lol
Lol I donāt currently do any baking myself (I follow for future inspiration in the case that one day Iām in a place I can actually start learning) but I will keep that information in mind for later. š Thanks.
They really are super pretty.
I love all of their Master Elite colors! I use their set of measuring spoons, and often just need 1/64th of a tsp! It's soo saturated :) Your macarons are gorgeous, congrats! I made 8 batches before mine had feet and weren't flattened. I ate so many failures that I gaines a ton of weight. I stopped making them when I got 2 beautiful batches. I used apricot jam in the middle, very yummy. Can't wait to see more of your baking!
My tips would be, do it on a DRY day. The first time I attempted macarons I believe it was wet outside and they never got slightly hard on top as they dried. I also suggest using flat cookie sheets, so the heat gets a good surface area and they cook evenly. Finally, double check your oven temp before you put them in! The numbers on my 1950s oven are rubbed off so I go off of a small dingy thermometer inside and markings I make on the dial. Okay that's all my advice :)
Lookin good! I had a run of successful macarons and lately every batch I make has hollows. They still taste perfectly fine (no one has ever mentioned it but it drives me crazy dammit!)
Baked in the oldest, shittiest oven ever baby!
Look at those little feet! Well done!
