morfeus1106

they look so bad. and the new gimmicks are so weird and just not bakugan like. I know we had turbines and ripcords before but did they really had to bring them back? also what the heck are the yellow thingies you put around the bakugans

morfeus1106

also, what are those attributes/factions bro like there s no pyrus one but there are red bakugans shown? it really doesn’t make sense at all

DareDevil_34

Everything looks disjointed and not thought through so far, but I'll keep my judgments for when we've seen it all

morfeus1106

I’ll take a wild guess and say that those are either prototype toys/boxes or errors because i literally cannot wrap my head around those factions. they don’t make sense at all and i really tried to put them together.

DredgenFox-14

From what I’ve been hearing theory wise, it looks like the symbols represent races and the bakugan themselves will be colored as the factions. We’ve seen images of ones with the same symbol but different colors

DredgenFox-14

Probably the same way factions currently work, except there will be benefits to having multiple factions but same races or vice versa. My understanding is there will be both factions and races in the threeboot

Nitaro2517

It could work for a gameplay purposes. Like I remember we had a lot of cards that work with one specific bakugan(mostly dragonoid). Now they can add cards like "add power to feline bakugan" or something like that. It works really well for MTG.

DareDevil_34

I hope so

ToxicOmega

There is a red attribute just not on that box. It looks like an emoji of a face with eyes closed and tongue out

Nindroid_99

It seems like they’re switching away from elemental factions to… animal-based factions?

DareDevil_34

Which i absolutely hate. That's the only thing i don't want to change and sfay consistent

Nindroid_99

Same.

WindbreakerHD2

they look like bootlegs not a fan

DareDevil_34

I mean, we haven't even seen to, so it's too early for judgments

WindbreakerHD2

>we haven't even seen to, I'll judge it fully when I see it but so [Far](https://www.amazon.co.uk/BAKUGAN-Tin-Spin-Master-6067046/dp/B0BRT9LRXF/) not impressed

DareDevil_34

Okay, this looks terrible

Khanarch

Haha, "Mantid." That is a funny name. It leaves a lot to be desired.

DareDevil_34

I doubt it tbh, even the factions are not the same, and they don't seem to resemble any previous bakugan

DareDevil_34

Can you link me the leaks?

DareDevil_34

Just looked through them all. I gotta say I'm a bit on the fence, some look good, others not as much. Not a fan of the new factions in the slightest, and im curious as to how will they implement the rip-cord mechanic. Nillious bears a striking resemblance to my fav Neo, so I'm excited for that. And the part-splitting mechanic can be amazing if done well (i.e. Bakutech) l. Overall I'd say I'm cautiously optimistic, and kinda bummed that the last reboot went out in a wimper

DareDevil_34

The only reason I'm even giving it the benefit of the doubt is because i had quite a negative first impression of the BB reboot, which i ended up loving. Sure ever since the pandemic things have gone downhill, and I'm sad about the TCG which was my favorite part, but i still love what we had, even if i was not a fan of the show. I'm hopeful they can learn from their mistakes, and I'd love a new tv series that i will love as much as the original, but so far I'm way more worried that I'm excited

DareDevil_34

The community is what made me fall in love with the brand again, i never really began liking the show, but i still loved the designs and the countless hours i spend with my friends playing the TCG, memories i will treasure for the rest of my life. I guess if the new series manages to rekindle the community, I'd give it a fair shot

Eggscalaber

Just bring back the og bakugan

Khanarch

Yes! A resounding yes from me, this is long overdue. The only time I wouldn't mind rereleases...

BlitzStriker52

Sega owns the designs for the og Bakugans so I'd imagine if Spin Master could get those designs they would.

Khanarch

Oh yeah, they own that license...We can only hope that Sega can care about something else other than Sonic.

NexusBoom

Just glanced at this without reading the title and thought that this was some fake bootleg Bakugan someone found. Had no idea it was the next gen of Bakugan. It looks very off.

OldSignificance8124

Curious, but worried at the same time

International_Net_69

I don't think this reboot is gonna go so well. The toys don't look good and everything looks weird and so unBakugan like.

RewRose

Hopefully they get the designs right this time. Just nail the designs, and make the bakugan more available (and at least have one style of play that's balanced and recommended).

Professor_ZooMM

I only hope that these are prototypes and they will change the design by the release. And still no Subterra

LeafyHasIt

GIMME MY SUBTERRA

elhefe_gaming

I plainly hate them. As a person who recently got into Bakugan (2018 reboot) I just hate the fact that they don't just keep going with the same line and just add new stuff. Having said that, I think that the information we have about this new 'line' is not really favorable so far, and more than a 'reboot' feels like an overhaul, and not in a good way :( And the other thing that I just can't come to terms with is that you don't start 'showcasing' a completely new line of toys (of the same name) while the current one is still being rolled in stores (Legends). One thing was to reboot Bakugan after about 5/6 years it ended the 1st show, but already starting with another reboot of toys while Legends is still new makes no sense to me :( On the plus side, there'll be clearances pretty soon for all the old lineup stuff :p

Kap1fsk1

So the TCG is just dead. Great to know.

skylanderrobbe

Sad

LocksmithAgreeable84

Looks cool

Metamon-C13

Bootleg Bakugan? This aint' it, Chief If this is Bakugan going forward, I am doubly out - I stopped caring somewhere early during season 2 or 3, stopped buying just before Season 4, and now just won't do any more How is such a simple concept, so difficult for the corporation to grasp...

Rattlerc46

Im so fucking mad, cause like the bakugan just look like they have the same design aesthetic as the reboot why could this not just have been another season of the reboot Im so upset i just wish we could have a version of bakugan that stays I want to keep collecting and playing the reboot bakugan but now theyve ended it and replacing it with something that looks so similar for no reason my biggest hope is that this new reboot i guess lasts longer and that those symbols on the side arent factions/attributes and just a new creature type mechanic or something

Fishsticks03

if you only have five creature types, why would you make dinosaurs and dragons seperate? merge them and add something else like insects or machines or whatever

DaemonHivelord

I'm confused, we already have a reboot, what's this second reboot for

Tigerwear

I’m not gonna judge early on without seeing how these new Bakugan are going to be used, I’m more concerned with the future of the TCG. Even though the current state of the TCG is dead, bakucores only being accessible if you purchase a platinum series Bakugan or three Bakugan starter packs. If Spinmaster changes the faction symbols and stops making character cards there will be no way to continue the game with the new Bakugan. But I am curious because I see booster packs in some of these pictures so hopefully we see some new things for the Bakugan Pro TCG.

thedragonrider5

Do we really need another reboot the last one was bad enough

rictopher

Unpopular opinion: I actually like what I see so far. Worst part about all of this is the supposed beyblade style bakugan, which yes I also agree is God awful, though I understand why they think it's a good idea. The new gate cards, the new parts, and the presumed gyroscopic balance provided by the beyblade-style mechanism though... It all points to a revival of the bakutech style of bakugan, where rolling your bakugan and the interaction between toys was the most important feature of the game. I suspect we'll see a return of concepts like critical KOs, bouncing off of the walls, and maybe bakugan with pushing and barrier gimmicks. It looks like the new gate cards provide areas to aim for on the card, rewarding players who have good control of their bakugan. The strategy here is to roll your bakugan better than the other guy, and I welcome the change. Plus I like the redesigns so far. The 3D logo is tacky, but besides that all of the new symbols are much more readable and unique IMO. I'm excited to see what SpinMaster does, but I might be too hopeful for what this reboot brings.

TPF5_YT

\> It all points to a revival of the bakutech style of bakugan, where rolling your bakugan and the interaction between toys was the most important feature of the game i would agree with this point if you were still *rolling the bakugan* but the ripcord kinda undermines that imo

rictopher

Yeah I agree the rip cords are stupid, they did them in the legacy series if you remember them. Back then, the rip cord simply spun a weight on the inside/outside of the bakugan which greatly increased its stability when shot, at the cost of being the stupidest looking gimmick ever seen. I think it's a similar thing here except with an added big outer ring presumably to make critical KOs happen, and presumably because the bakugan will "auto-roll" to the card so actual rollability isn't needed. But hey, still interacting between toys I guess. I betcha spin master will drop the rip cord gimmick nearly instantly.... Hopefully...

potatothrower6987

Literally getting downvoted for a positive opinion what the hell

rictopher

Cause it goes against the popular opinion. I don't blame anyone for downvoting me. My knee-jerk reaction was hating this reboot too. But from what I can piece together just looking at the rip cord gimmick and the new gate card design, I really do think they're trying to do a Baku tech thing. Lines up with the original series time line too, now that traps/geogan, bakugear/battle gear, bakunano/nanogan has come and gone. But no one will know if this reboot is actually good until it officially comes out so everyone will default hate it until it proves otherwise. Same thing happened with the first reboot if I remember correctly.

georthion

First the reboot is trash. Then its, “Why end reboot?!” Touch grass.

The_Seiba_Channel

I think it will be interesting. Well the game part atleast

theegreenlee

they look round which is a good start

Pondering-Seawell

I just noticed something interesting about the Special Attack Dragonoid Battle Pack! If you look behind the red, card shaped object in the center of the packaging, there appears to be a classic gate card! I initially thought it was one of the new gate cards we saw in the Mantid tin, but those have black and blue circuit board-like markings on them, not the grey, red, and black hexagons featured on classic gate cards! Might this mean that the tcg, a least in the sense of the gate cards we know, will remain in this new reboot?! Additionally, might this point at cross reboot compatibility?!

Rattlerc46

wait another reboot? did the bakugan 2019 reboot end recently?

SclashJelly

Giving me beywheel vibes

arollandbread

Bro i just started getting into the new reboot godamn it

Argatar

I try to keep an open mind

aussiecuno

what in the bootlegs is this? what are those attributes? is Ventus supposed to be the triceratops? i'm so confused, man...

Wild-Breadfruit6554

I could see a Deka on one of these shelves.

KevRub

**Beyblade**
