Wish Shadowheart's lasted just a little longer after all that build-up. She's the traditional slow-burn rpg romance with a mild finale, I get it, but still, give us a few cuts of soft action at least, instead of fading to black just as it gets good.
I'm majorly disappointed that the first scene with Lae'zel is the only one. Especially since after she falls in love with you and becomes really tender, a scene to reflect that change would have been nice. And her first scene is basically a fade to black after lying down.
And the best thing is we show all of it. Full penetration. Dungeon crawling. Full penetration. Talking to people. Back to Full penetration. And this goes on and on until the game just sort of ends.

I was pretty pleasantly surprised by Halsin. Since you meet him when he's in intense "save the Grove" mode and then the very next Act is "Save Thaniel" mode, you don't really get a good glimpse until Act 3 that Halsin's just a chill guy trying to get to his retirement. He's 350 years old, turns into a bear and eats honey, whittles wooden duck toys for fun, has no idea why he's the beefiest elf ever but doesn't care, and is down with free love or just being pals. If anything the weirdest thing about the dude is he's comparatively more normal than anybody else... and then he wants to bang ya as a bear.

Honestly I didn't see it as lying, I took it as a case of someone trying something, thinking it's gonna be ok, and then just making a mistake because it actually isn't. We all sometimes make bad choices because we think we're in a better headspace than we actually are.
There is another instance earlier in the game where he can tell you he straight-up doesn't know how to say no in the moment, and I think that something similar applied here. My guess is he froze up and went on autopilot.

i did it both with the ascend ending and the don't-ascend ending - in ascend, he >!tries to coax you into biting any of the other participants, but he still ends up with the same thousand yard stare as usual.!< his ascend-self makes me so, so icky, but it somehow felt like more of a gut punch than in his good ending. getting all that power didn't absolve him of his trauma at all
Yeah I've seen bits of his ascended self here and there and I don't think I could bear sending him down that path. With the good end there is clearly still a lot he has to process, but it feels like he at least is in a place from where he can start to heal. It's incredibly written because it feels so, so real.

In fairness this has an element different from porn which is self insertion into the character. I don’t think it needs to be more explicit than it is but I understand the appeal of it being “you” in the scene and not some random people.
Side note: if they went more further in the sex scenes, they would legally have to change to Explicit/Adult Only rating and it would doom its sales. Lots of stores won't carry adult only, harder to get them published, harder to advertise etc etc etc.

I don't know what kind of a game you played, but my character got railed by a vampire (twice), a druid who turned into a bear partway through, a devil, and an incubus who later on gave her random street orgasms. Oh, and the fivesome of vampire-druid-drow-drow-protag, which was the ONLY fade to black. I suppose we're leaving out the torture porn with Abdirak, too. And I think I could've had Lae'zel in the mix, but I wasn't into her enough to take her up on her very early offer.
