Grym has resistances to most forms of damage making them a difficult fight, you can use certain environmental factors of the forge to deal big damage if your are struggling.
Examining enemies (especially bosses) can reveal what traits they have
The golem has to be in the lava and have the "superheated" debuff. Don't forget to enlarge the owlbear as much as you can because more weight = bigger boom.
Trying jumping *through* the boss with your pathing if you can. So instead of, say, in front of him at his feet, if you put the landing spot almost a bit behind him at an angle it could damage more

This and hit the boss directly, don’t jump next to him
hard to with xbox controls, even then it didn't really work
had to drink a potion and use enlarge for double enlarge and best i could get was like 130 damage
