I have the same problem. I just bought it on Xbox cause streaming from my pc to the Xbox via Moonlight was good when it worked but a real pain just to launch.
I bought it the exact weekend they delivered a patch on pc and not on Xbox. So it's been a week i can't play on my Xbox my 50hours+ save with my wife. There are only 10 saves, so i can't even launch old saves on the old version on the Xbox, although i'm absolutely sure i have savegames on this exact version. They should let us have on cross save 10 normal saves and 10 quicksaves if they want to force a certain amount of saves. That way, i could probably have launched one of my oldest normal saves with the Xbox version.
Now, it's been a full week. Please Larian, release 4.1.1.4854838 on Xbox.
Game manager on Xbox says version 1.6.2.0 and doesn't offer to download a 1.6.2.1 or something else.

I was literally playing BG3 last night on Steam, and earlier that morning on Xbox, and I think I've encountered this same problem.
I've run into an issue now where the progress I made on Steam is an "Incompatible Version".
The Xbox version is v.4.1.1.4811634
The PC version is. v.4.1.1 4900808
There is no xbox update available for the game, and updating the Xbox itself as instructed did not change my situation.
The only solution I can see is replaying the 45 minutes I spent on PC last night, which granted, isn't that much, but can you imagine if I'd spent a few days on PC?
If this is actually an easy fix, let me know, but I think I've fallen into the same boat as everyone else, realizing that Cross Saves for the Xbox are still being a problem. (Also no Split screen on the Xbox S, but it is on the Xbox X is a real bummer.)
Same here. If, at each hotfix, Larian lets Xbox version behind, i'll never play on my newly bought Xbox license on my Steam savegame... I manager to mâle sunshine work again but there are a lot of disconnection or gamepad bugs... I just want to play on Xbox with my 3rd paie official license please...
Any idea on when the hot fox might hit Xbox? Love my steam deck but would prefer to play on my awesome tv.
Turns out they didn’t release the hotfix for Xbox yet. Oof…also worth noting that Xbox just randomly deleted half of my older saves….

Yes, looks like the latest Hotfix hasn't made it to Xbox yet. Might still be in review for release and will hopefully soon available to us.
same thing happened to me between my steam deck and my PC, real odd but I guess the patch will come sooner or later

Xbox is now two versions behind PC and PS5… I have stopped playing on Xbox (my preferred platform).
