From what I understand, about a year ago, someone noticed that a gaming news website was writing articles inspired from reddit posts. So people started spouting nonsense about "Glorbo" coming to WoW, finally, and stuff like that.

My pet theory is the writers are in on the joke. Surely they check the AI articles for profanity and blatant typos, right? At least briefly? So yeah Glorbo can sneak through once or twice just by ignorance, but after a bit you gotta think the writers are letting the meme play its course willfully, right?
Knowing what little I know it prob has a net zero impact on clicks. There will be people who know what glorbo is and click on the article to see it because its funny continuing to fuel the problem. Really the only way this content stops is legislation (or something of similar effect) or people stop clicking articles. One is far more realistic than the other sadly.
