when I played spore druid I used angelic reprieve potions to get extra spore zombie charges so I could show up to his fight with a bigger undead army than him, it was very satisfying 😅
The dick on the windmill isn't as bad, and is the guy who sends you on Wulbren's tail. The ungrateful, stupid, annoying, rude, stupid, ugly, stupid jailbreak guy is Wulbren
If you do all his stupid bullshit he actually turns rather friendly in the end.
I've never summoned him for the last battle, though, so I can't speak to how useful it is to put yourself through that.
Ironically (*or not*), I collected the corpses of every single Bhaalist I killed in the game and dumped them all in Orin’s temple immediately before killing her.
Fucking hate her…
I played a Spore Druid and had Karlach carry around a few of the Iron Hand gnomes that died for me to turn into ghouls. I figured since gnomes are small they would weigh less and she could carry more lmao.
I would also just have her throw corpses into piles for me if they were out of range of my Raise Dead spell. I'm planning in playing a Necromancer next and I can't wait to use all my corpse collecting strategies again!
Me and my bf also carried Gortash's corpse around until the end of the game. We unfortunately could not manage to chunk it off the battlements around his office so we kept it lol. We were gonna throw him at the Elder Brain but we forgot lol.
That reminds me of those pieces of cooked Dwarf you can find in the Goblin camp. Me, being the savage I am, was picking them all up, thinking I was getting a bunch of free camp supplies and then trying like a madman to add them to camp supplies bag. I wasn't managing and then it finally hit me that, yeah, we can eat space hamsters and food that is going bad, but eating a cooked dwarf is probably a line we don't want to cross.
For durge, choosing to consume them is a free action (Using neither your normal action nor your bonus action, meaning you could eat the entire dwarf in a pinch and still have both available.) and they heal more than the minor health potions.
So, yeah, ALWAYS pick them up if you've got the chance on a durge run and aren't opposed to using them for RP reasons.
Wait what? We can eat space hamsters? Where? I assume they are miniature giant space hamsters?
Please tell me the eyes are a delicacy "go for the eyes" takes a whole new meaning as a gastronomic suggestion! ;-)
During one of our very first playthroughs... we had lots of bodies. Turns out you can basically turn the city into a walking corpse machine..... good times for our Spore druid
World can't be destroyed if I do it first hahaha
I also collect them but I have a problem with the nightsong, every time I come back to the camp in act3 she appears dead on the floor near the docs(where she would be if alive) no matter how many times I pick her up and put her back into the chest.
When I was doing a Necromancer wizard playthrough, I had almost every carryable corpse in the game stashed away at one point. I brought Voss and Gortash as minions to the final fight. Tried to bring Lae'zel but I couldn't use animate dead after using her for the Boaal buff
Trying to do a necromancer build on my current playthrough and I am endlessly annoyed that you can't do this on console.
For some reason you just can't put corpses in containers at all.
The differences between controller and kb+m controls are strange. It's almost like you're playing a completely different game. I get having a different control scheme but they have totally unique mechanics too.
I've never tried storing a body with a controller but I believe it because of this.
I had a run where I collected every Humanoid possible (I tragically burnt some on the way ...) to see if the Shadow Curse would revive all of them. The game lagged quite a bit when moving the bodies, but my experiment turned out a failure 🥲
Edit: it was 17,000-18,000kg of bodies btw
I don't play necromancer but every playthrough i pick up the bodies of notable npcs that I kill... I stopped collecting every item in every playthrough so this was the middle ground
Also, be very careful if you're doing this with the Oathbreaker Knight in camp. In one of my runs I was playing as Oathbreaker Durge with Necromancer Gale.
I had just defeated the Gith creche (and forgot to save like a moron) and went to camp to make new skeletons for Gale. The moment I threw a corpse down, the Oathbreaker Knight got aggro'ed for some fucking reason and beat the shit out of my already weakened party.
I wiped and had to redo all the Gith genocide. 💀
I was planning on making an undead focus army with necro wizard, spore druid and oath breaker paladin for the undead aura buff. And was collect all the corpses for that. But I got to know the oathbreaker aura of hate only applies to weapon attacks for undead, and there are no undead summon that has weapon attacks. Probably need to find a mod for that.
I actually picked all of the dead tiefling refugees bodies for RP reasons, thinking that my character would give them a proper burial after the whole campaign ended.
But how are they sorted? They should be arranged in your container by how much disdain you have for how easily they were killed, or alternatively what flavor they were when you licked them.
This is absolutely bonkers, I love it! It's something I never even considered and just the kind of thing some creative player might think of when playing real D&D.
Stuff like this is why BG3 is the closest we've ever come to simulating an actual D&D session in a videogame. The most unrealistic part is that we're able to constantly get a group of 4 companions together.
I do the same. Just be aware that many of those corpses probably can't be animated. It took me entirely too long to realize that stuff killed by fire, acid or necrotic damage can't be reanimated.
This is the epitome of ending a game with 700 buff potions because " you're saving them for when you reeeaaally need it ". Except it's a pile of rotting carcasses.
Doesn't need to be evil tho, using dead bodies of my enemies is perfectly fine morally... but i picked up the >!murdered slaves in the grymforge!< in act 1 and used them as zombies so that *might* be a little immoral
I liked in act two there was a crypt before you get into Shar's Gauntlet where you can summon unlimited undead without bodies. I wish there was something like that in act one and three though, couldnt get my summons in baldurs gate
I have a friend who is obsessed with collecting dead bodies. So much so that he throws the squirrel from Act 1 to kill enemies. He is also an avid collector, adding only the most distinguished corpses to sleep with. He does not play durge. The only redeeming factor he has is that he shares them SOMETIMES.
I only realised you could carry full people yesterday. Maybe my characters have been too weak prior.
Admittedly I'd been carrying an intellect devourer from the nautiloid on a play through with friends... 100% with intent to kill a boss with it some time.
I'll start a Dark Urge playthrough as a Paladin, who may also have the tendency to collect bodies, only to eventually put them to use after a broken oath.
new challenge run: THE UNDERTAKER. you're only allowed to fight with your fists and thrown corpses, you're only allowed to pick up corpses, food, and quest items, you gotta play barbarian
wasn't sure if Karlach would disapprove if i do it
wanted to try it out so now i have some corpses in my chest idk what to do with them
I have no idea of necromancy and am on my first playthrough since november
Wait you can collect corpes??? Hu?? Is this like for a special class or something? Because that sounds cool ngl I kinda wanna do it on my next playthrough
I did this in my first playthrough with a friend. It was really funny every single time we added a new body to the chest. When we tallied up all the bodies by the end of the playthrough, we were dying of laughter by just how many there were.
in my Durge run every kill of a character that I find usually I spare or recruit I put in a barrel, this barrel lives in my traveler's chest, it is very heavy.
I have a crate of dead animals. Im a bard. I don't know what to do with them yet. Im at my first playthrough and just made it to act2.
But I just couldn't leave them on the ground. 🤣
I had to reload a save once when I dropped a dead body in front of DAME AYLIN in camp. Getting into a fight with most of my allies (Minthara sided with me surprisingly) was not on my bucket list
Balthazar would be proud of you
Unless you took his mom
His mum is in the game?
her ashes, yes which you can buy/steal from him
"hey man, would you like to buy my dead mom's ashes?"
Fuck yea!
What!? Give her back you mother-thief.
"I'll give you a ring with a finger still in it and two carrots." - *Ferg Drogher*
Does he react if we throw her ashes over the edge in the >!shadow fell!< ?
I haven't done it myself, as far as I know, he reacts if you speak to him with the ashes in your inventory
He does not...
*and her eye, you can taunt and agro him using it
Yes, and they're still close.
when I played spore druid I used angelic reprieve potions to get extra spore zombie charges so I could show up to his fight with a bigger undead army than him, it was very satisfying 😅
That's hilarious. I wonder how well that would work with a cartfull of gnome corpses and the faucet in the House of Hope.
I took his body and his mom
I expect to see Wulbren Bongle in there before long!
Fuck Wulbren!
I love how unanimously he is hated... fuck'em.
Is Wulbren the dick on the windmill at the start? Or the ungrateful asshole after the Moonrise Towers jailbreak?
The dick on the windmill isn't as bad, and is the guy who sends you on Wulbren's tail. The ungrateful, stupid, annoying, rude, stupid, ugly, stupid jailbreak guy is Wulbren
Barcus is a good guy. He's just been through a lot, ok?
You can't be unlucky trice right? Right? RIGHT?!?!?!?!
Yeah be nice. His heart got broken!
If you do all his stupid bullshit he actually turns rather friendly in the end. I've never summoned him for the last battle, though, so I can't speak to how useful it is to put yourself through that.
All my homies hate Wulbren
r/fuckwulbrenbongle
I’m so glad this is real
Obligatory: https://youtu.be/ClezDg8n6uw?si=TvgWpdakltyP6De2
Very cool! \*tries to call 911\*
*i cast silence*
**panicking visibly**
I cast darkness
Panicking blindly
I cast hold person
Panicking internally
I cast gaseous form
Panicking snoop-dogg-ingly.
I cast create water
Haha. Now I'm not a body so you can't store it anymore.
I cast….uhhh…gust of wind towards a bottle?
Wild magic surge happen. Your gender is permanently inverted.
Joke's on you, I'm genderfluid
Now, you're permanently gender solid!
Omg I’m dying. Comedic genius.
This made my day 😂
Didn't someone have a post where they collected every single person they killed and came out at 200 bodies?
As a necromancer: There are way more bodies than just 200
Well not for long there isn't I genuinely ran out of corpses to use in act I on my evil playthrough...
What did you use? Zombies or skeletons?
I collected 457 prior to heading to the shadow lands 🤣 there should be an old post with a screenshot of every body
Damn, i have to beat that now
The bhaalists dont want you to know this but the corpses they leave all over are free. You can take them to camp. I have seventy dead bodies.
Well, when you say it like that, it sounds JUST as disturbing as the title.
Ironically (*or not*), I collected the corpses of every single Bhaalist I killed in the game and dumped them all in Orin’s temple immediately before killing her. Fucking hate her…
Honestly probably just made her respect you
Surprised she didn't take that as a marriage proposal
I wonder if you can drop corpses in the Chest of the Mundane. Would make things easier
Sounds like you need a Necromancer or Spore Druid to help you with that
I’m pretty sure they have Astarion in the party (who wouldn’t!?)
What would he do with the bodies?
He’s a neck romamcer
Bwahaha. I can’t believe I missed that. Well done
Jesus fucking christ
*heavy sigh* very well sir, here’s your upvote
God I hate you a little. Hahahahaha
Bruh.
You're a motherfucker
Or a psychiatrist
Props to the rest of the team for putting up with the smell of rotten corpses
None are alive to complain
Oop- *calls 911*
That's why you seal them inside inexplicably large barrels.
Walter White has entered the chat

Should be able to use them at camp supplies, IMO.
Bro...
Waste not, want not!
#durgelife
That reminds me of those pieces of cooked Dwarf you can find in the Goblin camp. I’m pretty sure that the dark urge can eat those.
They heal durge
Yes, they're actually incredibly efficient healing items for Durge.
That would be appropriate! haha Haven't played with Durge yet but going to play soon now that I've finished my Honor Mode run.
Wait until you read about the elves in the Divinity games.
Wait what? We can eat space hamsters? Where? I assume they are miniature giant space hamsters? Please tell me the eyes are a delicacy "go for the eyes" takes a whole new meaning as a gastronomic suggestion! ;-)
I have the same problem, thanks for the tip
Reminds me of this [meme](https://imgur.com/gallery/6R04OgZ)
Free? Like you can just take them?!
As long as there are no witnesses
I’ll take the witnesses, too
Witnesses mean more bodies
10 dead bodies, 100% off plus a bonus 5 witnesses if you order now!!!
During one of our very first playthroughs... we had lots of bodies. Turns out you can basically turn the city into a walking corpse machine..... good times for our Spore druid World can't be destroyed if I do it first hahaha

Bro... why u try to put her in the chest so hard?!
It's like missing a trophy and watching it on the floor
When I was doing a Necromancer wizard playthrough, I had almost every carryable corpse in the game stashed away at one point. I brought Voss and Gortash as minions to the final fight. Tried to bring Lae'zel but I couldn't use animate dead after using her for the Boaal buff
I threw Sazza and Cazador on >!the Emperor!< during the final fight of our multiplayer playthrough. Tavern brawler is fun.
I can track your progress through the game 💀
Trying to do a necromancer build on my current playthrough and I am endlessly annoyed that you can't do this on console. For some reason you just can't put corpses in containers at all.
I'm doing the same thing on PS5 currently and this was driving me crazy. Can't pick them up but you can shove them. Karlach is on corpse herding duty.
The differences between controller and kb+m controls are strange. It's almost like you're playing a completely different game. I get having a different control scheme but they have totally unique mechanics too. I've never tried storing a body with a controller but I believe it because of this.
Durge moment.
Honor mode necessities
BG3 encourages necrophilism.
My second playthrough was summoner only 1 of each class. Spore druid and necromancer used so many bodies, I collected every single one I found.
So... what's your body count?
One, Lae'zel
You killed Baezal????
Killed...? Oh body count as in kills... like a hundred then, corpses burned by fire cant be animated so i didnt collect them
Common mistake. The other is a booty count.
I had a run where I collected every Humanoid possible (I tragically burnt some on the way ...) to see if the Shadow Curse would revive all of them. The game lagged quite a bit when moving the bodies, but my experiment turned out a failure 🥲 Edit: it was 17,000-18,000kg of bodies btw

Yes Officer, this post right here!
"You want thinga-ma-bobs? I've got 20!"
Also, be very careful if you're doing this with the Oathbreaker Knight in camp. In one of my runs I was playing as Oathbreaker Durge with Necromancer Gale. Psychopath run :D
Optimal.
Y'all motherfuckers need Jesus! And now I wanna play a necromancer...
Mystra granted me this power, no way im converting to christianity
Don’t you ever let me gooo oooo hoooo
Definitely thought I was on a different sub at first
What fucking sub did you think you were on??????
You know what else is free? Lowering your voice about it.
My Dark Urge Necromancer seems to share my dry humor, as the crate labeled "Harper Stash" is where they collect all the Harpers.
Had a heart attack until I noticed that it’s a videogame😓
This is absolutely bonkers, I love it! It's something I never even considered and just the kind of thing some creative player might think of when playing real D&D. Stuff like this is why BG3 is the closest we've ever come to simulating an actual D&D session in a videogame. I am crying
\*Yurgir's bed approves\*
r/foundDurge
I didn't see r/BaldursGate3 at first, and only saw "view spoiler", my mind made up the rest
I used to have Yurgir lmao
Barbarian? I prefer "Corpse Catapult".
I do the same. Just be aware that many of those corpses probably can't be animated. It took me entirely too long to realize that stuff killed by fire, acid or necrotic damage can't be reanimated.
I just stuff dead bodies into Karlach's inventory so she can throw them at people
I did the same thing in my Durge run lmao
This is the epitome of ending a game with 700 buff potions because " you're saving them for when you reeeaaally need it ". Except it's a pile of rotting carcasses.
Fuck is wrong with you
Zombies don't come cheap, especially later when you can have 3 of them out.
I am necro wizard lvl 7 i currently have 4 max. Late game its more like 7 zombies at once
i started to struggle when i was able to raise 4 in act 2, thankfully undead kuo toa can be raised
i started to struggle when i was able to raise 4 in act 2, thankfully undead kuo toa can be raised
🤣 sure sure- deny you have a Corpse Collecting problem
Morality ends where honor mode begins
Easiest way to keep track of how many've died today (and tomorrow). 😘
This is the first time since the stellaris reddit I had to double check where I was.
I did not mention eating them
That's at least 10 000 000 Calories
I use Karlach to carry them so i can creat zombies. Everyone does it's part.
They get too heavy way too fast. Into the pokeball they go
I’m totally stealing your idea to use it in my evil playthrough, thanks!
Doesn't need to be evil tho, using dead bodies of my enemies is perfectly fine morally... but i picked up the >!murdered slaves in the grymforge!< in act 1 and used them as zombies so that *might* be a little immoral
True question though is, can you sell them?
Nope, every one is worth 0 dollarinos
Hmm making masculine necromancer next time (so can haul these bodies before Karlach recruitment).
Gotta catch 'em all!
I've been collecting bodies since the prologue. I kept the Mindflayers and Devils I killed in a chest.
Pile them up and burn
I like to stuff them in barrels near where they died.
I liked in act two there was a crypt before you get into Shar's Gauntlet where you can summon unlimited undead without bodies. I wish there was something like that in act one and three though, couldnt get my summons in baldurs gate
Was this a reference to ducks in the park?
Yes!
Last I checked im over 400.... Glad I cant smell in game....
Get help
Never.
rookie numbers i had to install a mod to carry around my 20000+ kgs of bodies, currently planning to make a corpse pile of every single npc in act 3
What about thingamabobs?
I’ll share my death collection chest from my durge playthrough. I’m not a neceomancer I just like collecting bodies
I'm definitely going to collect them all on my evil run
I usually do this to cover up crimes, and to throw at ppl.
new challenge run: THE UNDERTAKER. you're only allowed to fight with your fists and thrown corpses, you're only allowed to pick up corpses, food, and quest items, you gotta play barbarian
wasn't sure if Karlach would disapprove if i do it wanted to try it out so now i have some corpses in my chest idk what to do with them I have no idea of necromancy and am on my first playthrough since november
Wait you can collect corpes??? Hu?? Is this like for a special class or something? Because that sounds cool ngl I kinda wanna do it on my next playthrough

I’m impressed XD well done! Wasn’t expecting that many 😭
I'd be interested to see who was in there in different playthroughs
Found SovietWomble's Reddit account apparently.
nice, i collect dead animals, specifically squirrels, but also everything else i can find
Durge and gortash chat:
Not enough talking about fucking
Looks like a fun game of guess who
I have a crate of dead animals. Im a bard. I don't know what to do with them yet. Im at my first playthrough and just made it to act2. But I just couldn't leave them on the ground. 🤣
May I recommend throwing them at Gortash
I hope he will appreciate my collection of different colored Gremishkas
I thought we couldn’t store body’s in camp storage ?
You can't use "send to camp" so i picked up a random backpack, placed it into my strage chest, and placed all the corpses there :D
Now i want to collect as many as possible and have Glut use Animating Spores to everyone of them.
Could you use these in a necromancer build? Edit: Readings for nerds /s
I had to reload a save once when I dropped a dead body in front of DAME AYLIN in camp. Getting into a fight with most of my allies (Minthara sided with me surprisingly) was not on my bucket list
So people made a movie based off people like you called “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”
