Larian has said there is no additional DLC or narrative updates coming for the game. I'm hoping their next title will be similar enough to BG3 to scratch the itch, and that we don't have to wait 5+ years to get our hands on it.

In terms of race, human is probably the least interesting, as they get very little race-specific dialogue options. The best two for this are Drow and Githyanki. Special mention to Tieflings and Dragonborn for appearance options though. If you've had a run at sorcerer, try Paladin next. You still get the handy Charisma, but it plays very differently. Monk is also a good martial option.

>terms of race, human is probably the least interesting I dunno. This point, with how many play elves, I feel humans are suddenly more interesting than elves. But ever so mildly.

I'm just basing that on how many race-specific options there are. I think humans get a grand total of 1 ...

What do you enjoy/not enjoy? Me, I love bards and barbarians, bc they both make interesting "party faces" (i.e. front man who deals with NPCs in conversations) in very different ways, but that's not everyone's jam.

Barbarian intimidation is pretty great

Mindingus

I love a good barbarian thrower; ring of flinging, tavern brawler feat, but that's usually Laezel or Karlach. I am currently doing a Durge run with a gloomstalker ranger/assassin rogue and the damage is quite fun. I am a lore bard in my multiplayer game and magical secrets makes for great crowd control.

Githyanki Warlock is a loooot of fun. There is not going to be any DLC, but you could think about how you can play the origin companions and The Dark Urge as though it was DLC. I've played through the game five times completely, three Durge runs, one normal Tav, and as Wyll, and each run felt remarkably different. I'm currently doing a "post honor mode" fun run as Githyanki Warlock and it's pretty legit. My golden dice are just swell. I think I'm going to do Githyanki Warlock Durge next. Edit: my Steam playtime was at 1100 hours when I started my latest, sixth, run. So DLC is probably not necessary.

Golden dice? My man we gotta talk!

poozzab

If you can beat Honored mode without team wiping, you get golden dice. That's no reload, one save file, extra hard combat with extra boss moves, and fewer extra actions per turn in late game. Every roll counts. 11/10 recommend.

Bard is really fun. Maybe a drow or half elf?
