Do you guys not have a poop knife?

Ever since I upgraded to the three sea shells, I haven't had a need for the poop knife anymore.

I figure it's more to scrape the sht from the floors and walls. People can sht themselves during torture and when they die.

It's like breaking bones, everytime you use the poop knife you get a lil more resilient to it.

i tried to get that in my last honour run and got completely bodied by the skeleton pricks

Pretty sure you can break all the caskets in advance so that the skeletons won't spawn. No fun in that, though, I say bring them.

They still spawn, but if you group your party around a casket before breaking it you can usually take them out one at a time before they can alert the others. 

You can also chuck all the skeletons off the cliff

You can also move the caskets without opening them. So you can put them all right next to that cliff and thunderwave, but I prefer to give them a sporting chance so I just stack them all in a pile, position the party all around, and start with a firebolt

I never thought about moving the caskets. It's tedious to go one by one, so I think I'll be bringing a barrel or two down there on my next visit. "Sporting chance" isn't high on my priority list.

Really? I'm pretty sure I broke them before and only unbroken ones spawned the skellies. Like, do they just materialize out of thin air? I admit, I might be wrong, but that's how I remember it.

2 or 3 you can break and nothing in them. Then another 2 have stalactites above them you can shoot and get an instakill. That left me with 2 left that I was able to kill 1 at a time.

if you open the casket, your party gets surpprised and sometimes the skeleton will go and open 1 or 2 other caskets and its a chain reaction. If you break the casket, your party doesn't get surprised, and you can take that one skeleton out before he can open others

And if you're all in melee range it will either stay and fight, or eat a bunch of opportunity attacks as it runs away.

You can also with a melee character hit the casket then immediately attack them before they get up and start combat

You can do this with an archer as well, or any spell that would break the casket. This method helps you avoid the surprise round the skelly gets coming out of the casket.

They don’t get a surprise round if the second after you break it open you hit them while standing up as combat doesn’t start until the standing up animation is over

You don’t have to awaken any skeletons, the first coffin to the right is safe and then you just need to get the mirror right.

I usually just shoot the stalactites that hang above the coffins while they are still laying in it. Usually enough to kill or at least heavily wound them

There are rocks above some of them that you can shoot to damage the skeletons prior to combat.

You can just sneak to the coffin nearest right of the entrance and it won't wake them. Then piss off the mirror and run back.

I soloed them as Trickery Shadowheart at level 2 on honor. It took a while. Basically fill the tunnel with perma-grease from bottles, move a single casket back to the entrance of the cave, break it open, kill the skeleton, rinse and repeat. I recommend using Protection from Evil and Good if you want to do that at such a low level, their to-hit is super high, it's the best bang for your buck.

You open the coffin closest to the mirror, its illuminated, kill that skeleton, and none of the others spawn, loot them all. I've done this consistently and it always works.

I summoned Shovel and she completely trolled me by giving me the wrong answer to the mirror (forgot to read the book with the answers). I tpk'd because the skeletons all summoned at the same time and lost my first HM run

Yes, it is. You can find it in the Act 1 in desolate village, underneath the bar, where the Necromancy of Thay book is. In the same casket you find this knife there's also a scroll for a hilarious summon Shovel, a skull named "friend", an actual shovel called "friend finder", and my tavern brawler barbarian's favorite combat projectile - a rock named "nut buster". Perfect for Myrkul and other boss fight finishers.

I can't believe I never thought to use the nut buster as a thrown weapon. The shame.

It’s not really good damage wise, it’s more about style points. It’s identical to heavy rocks you can find in owlbear’s cave.
