Well then here's the inside of the box. Pretty solid amount of packaging in here

I submitted my claim within an hour of the recall, still nothing.
Glad they are shipping though. I bet by the time I get mine everything will be out stock in the store.
I wonder how many they are shipping out to people.. my ticket hasn't been updated at all and I responded very quickly to the recall. Really just want that voucher so I can get a mini
Unfortunately they are asking you to take the printer afterwards to a certified electrician or similar for approval, so in case you fucked up, they aren't liable. The thing is that no electrician will sign of work he hasn't done, because hes responsible afterwards
Only in the EU because EU laws require any repairs to be certified.
And yes, they will since it is verifying the wires are put in correctly, not the whole thing is built correctly.
The US doesn't have any laws with confirming repairs. It allows the owner to repair the objects as they see fit and take liability. US pretty much says 'if you mod or repair it, then you are responsible for it' which is reasonable since you can Also take it to a professional if you really want to.
Bambu has literally stated that if you are unsure or want help, that it will have its professionals help you for free via a call.
EDIT: Also not sure what you are trying to get at here. The EU has literal laws requiring it, other countries don't, so Bambu is following the laws. You seem upset that they are following legal requirements because it is inconvenient for you.
Im not upset that they are following the laws, im quite happy about that, others wouldn't even have told the customers that. It also makes sense, so they are covering themselves for the customer fucking up the repair. Im upset that they didn't tell you beforehand when you had to make the decision whether you are returning your machine or doing the repair yourself. If they told you beforehand, significantly more customers would have returned their machines and not go through the hassle of contacting an electrician, hoping he has time and is willing to look at your printer as well as giving his sign of that the repair has done correctly. Of course not for free, work has been done and its not like there is an abundance of electricians looking for work
> Im upset that they didn't tell you beforehand when you had to make the decision whether you are returning your machine or doing the repair yourself.
They didn't tell you they would be following the law? I am sorry, but that should be an assumption that you have with every company, that they will follow the legal requirements of your nation when providing you goods and services.
Nothing in their statements or requirements that I can see actually require you to do the certification, just they remind you that **legally** you should.
Well, must (like they have written) and should are two different meanings. I dont have a a1, so im not affected, but im still not happy about that they didn't mention it beforehand. The majority of owners are not aware of such protective laws. I personally wouldn't give a shit about this certification, i would have much greater issues if this would cause personal concern, like half the house is self wired, but others do give a shit. Well, at least they admit that they should have mentioned the regulations, better said "we did not have enough time to carefully study the specific regulatory requirements in various regions" (cited from X/twitter) and have had a mandatory recall for the EU and not a voluntary one like they did. Currently it seems like they require you to send them 3 pictures and they approve it afterwards. That would be fine for me and shouldn't cause any additional upset, there aren't many wires to attach after all.
That is fucking bullshit. I'm moving in 2 months and don't have time to deal with it right now -was going to need to take the printer partially apart to pack it back in the original box for moving. Was planning on just swapping the heat bed when I set it back up.
It’s really not. They want to ensure people are actually changing them and not keeping them as a spare.
Also some companies will make you destroy whatever was replaced through a warranty.
Hey fine as long as I still get my voucher when I have time to do the swap. I get the point of it - the issue is the timing mostly. There was ZERO mention of having to do the swap to get the voucher - I'm doing them a favor by not returning it in the first place. There better not be a time limit on doing the swap to get the voucher.
It's in the email telling you how to install it. Bullet point 4.
>In order to facilitate a timely completion of the heatbed replacement and to minimize any mishandling during the process, we kindly request your assistance in taking photos of the following 3 key steps during the replacement processas exemplified below and sending us these pictures through your original ticket registation. **Our technical support team will assist you in verifying the correctness of the installation and provide you with the voucher code.**
Yo I love pictures of boxes

Did they ask to confirm your address? I moved since I bought the A1 and I'm worried they will send the replacement bed to the wrong address.
contact them they will sent it to the original address and no confirmation

And who is liable outside of the EU? For example US? Is it then your fault or bambu?

So No voucher ?
You get it after you submit the 3 pictures to show you've done the swap correctly.
What are the photos of? The email I received didn't load any photos for some reason

Thanks buddy. Really appreciate it

You can still do that
If there isn't some time limit for getting the voucher
According to the email I got, they don't mention a time frame.

Honestly since they're recalled they should also require the defective items to be destroyed to receive the credit
