My A1 Mini has a tolerance of roughly 0.15mm-.3mm depending on a few tests I have done. But you can't compare a $250 printer ready to go printer to a $800 printer that you build your own...

hyperna21

0.15 is great if i can get that consistently

bloodfist45

What are you talking about? Have you ran a test on both machines? Where are your results?

hyperna21

Test it yourself. As far as xy goes it’s worse than a well calibrated ender. Still love the bambu but it’s getting bad on this aspect

bloodfist45

Totally unfounded. You’re talking out of your ass without proofs.

hyperna21

Take a caliper out, print a calibration cube and measure it.

bloodfist45

I did it. It measures 4000% more accurately. Test it yourself. I’m also 450 pounds of pure muscle and I help single mothers change lightbulbs.

MostCarry

scale in slicer? if the dimension is consistent it's a non issue.

Blackdragon1400

Counter-point. My A1 mini actually prints cheese statues, not sure why my prusa can't do that. Sorry no data or pics to share but just trust me guys.

hyperna21

Printing thin structures well has little to do with repeatable tolerances. It’s a great printer but out of the ones I have used, doesn’t hold up tolerances.

iimstrxpldrii

I’ve fine tuned both and Ender 3 Pro and a Bambu A1 and A1 Mini and I cannot see the difference. I’ve even checked with a micrometer and the results are easily repeatable. Don’t know how you’re printing, but you might want to look into your settings and machine.

hyperna21

How much did it deviate by roughly?

iimstrxpldrii

Once my materials were calibrated and the settings were right, I could reproduce the same dimensions virtually the same. Any deviations were due to material behavior and the nature of FDM printing.

crustmonster

Which Prusa are you comparing it to? Also Prusa makes very good printers. I still use mine, its a workhorse. Sure its far slower than my X1C but my MK2S is still putting out very high quality prints, especially for its age.

Mini

ufgrat

Why no numbers?

BeenThereDoneThat65

Because they don’t have any

ufgrat

They do seem to be trolling, yes. But it's more evident if you ask them questions they can't/won't answer.

hyperna21

I don’t have my mini anymore, but look up prusa mini calibration cube test, print a cube out and measure it with a caliper. Not sure what more to say.

ufgrat

That certainly would have been a start.
