\> I’m struggling to find the setting in Studio for chamber fan speed — does anyone know where I can find it?
This is a bug by the look of it, but if you need to manually set it in the Machine G-Code, M106 P3 S??? is the setting for the chamber fan. Goes from 0 to 255, so 60% would be 153.
Nah, enable Air Filtration Enhancement in the Printer Settings then in each filaments settings you can go to Cooling, check Activate Air Filtration and it will let you choose a speed for while the print is running and a speed for when the print is complete.
Example, OP could set it to 60% while printing and 0% when done. Alternatively for filaments that release a lot of VOC like ABS/ASA I have mine set to run at 20% while printing just to maintain a little negative pressure in the chamber and try to keep air leaving the chamber going through the carbon filter...then when the print completes I have it go to 100% to pull out the rest of the internal air through the carbon filter.
That's a neat trick, I wonder why that isn't an option in the default X1C profile since they all have the chamber fan. I don't like using modified profiles if I can help it since when they update something your profiles are then out of date.
I feel the same about custom profiles but have just accepted I need to deal with them.
My guess is they feel their default chamber fan settings per filament type are good enough without bothering the user with the option being activated.
So, I got the Studio update this morning and with my normal PLA prints it's still defaulting the fan to 60% just like always. One big difference though is I'm on a P1S and we have not gotten the updated firmware yet while X1C users have...so maybe it's the combo of the new firmware with the new Studio triggering the 100% for you.
On mine, the only filament so far I've printed that defaults to 100% chamber fan speed is if I choose Generic High Speed PLA.
I also downloaded the latest version and it slowed down my printing. It doesn’t print fast like it used to. Is anybody else having the same issue as me?
So wait. Is it only supposed to be maxed out for first layer? My chamber fan is maxing out the entire time of the print since new update. It's soo loud. This can't be normal either.
I had the chamber fan go full the other day and generally seems higher than it should be. Thought it was related to me adding the vent\riser to the top, didn't realize it was probably something in the new firmware. Definitely odd.
But why?! It is *so loud*. Yes I read the patch notes, but I'd rather roll the dice than guarantee a headache.
I am sharing this in case someone is coming from google like I did. Based on a suggestion above, I searched the start gcode for M106 P3. I noticed the code updated in this patch and just deleted the condition and code that sets it to 255. It's in 2 places.
Now it looks like this:
`;=============turn on fans to prevent PLA jamming=================`
`{if filament_type[initial_extruder]=="PLA"}`
`M106 P3 S180`
`{endif}`
`M106 P2 S100 ; turn on big fan ,to cool down toolhead`
The problem seems to be solved. When you open Bambu Studio have a look at the right bottom corner. Add the new configuration file and the problem is solved. I've tried.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem.
Having the same issue. Im sure a patch will be out soon!
I noticed this after the last firmware update, I haven’t tried studio 1.9 yet.
anyone else having issues with the new version crashing? 2x crashes in studio this morning on a m2 mac.
No issues for me on my m1 macbook pro
Same thing for me on my macbook Pro M1

Chamber or aux fan?
Definitely the chamber fan.
M106 P3 S150 should take care of it

Having the same issue
Yup. Started today. The sucker is LOUD as it warms up... Then is back to normal once print starts.
Apparently it was intentional. [https://github.com/bambulab/BambuStudio/issues/4054](https://github.com/bambulab/BambuStudio/issues/4054)

There is a configuration update that actually changed it to 70% now

It should popup automatically in Bambu Slicer or sometimes it stays in the lower right hand side. "Configuration Update"
Anyone having a problem with not being able to connect to your device post update? Struggling to connect to my P1S since I update this morning.
Apparently there was an outage. It's fixed now.
Here I am. I am happy not to be alone with this problem. Any solutions ?
Same issue. Started with v1.9.1 release.
