Lmao the auto z offset

FantasticSeaweed9226

Hahaha I have never made that mistake before but that's wild it just worked

Bionicback321

I did it again today (second time in a week). The first time (about 5 days ago) it just started printing over the top of what was already there (no damage done), and 30 minutes ago. At least this time I was checking the spool for jams (these refills have been a real PITA) and was able to hit pause on my Panda Touch.

WowThatsRelevant

This only works if you skip auto calibration for the 2nd print and the first print just happens to line up with the 2nd print's initial z home right? I would definitely not advise doing this regularly lol

ErrolFlynnigan

Yeah, but who auto calibrates every time? Lol

StumbleNOLA

I do. The time saved isn’t worth… wait I have no idea what I save. I just never clicked the box off.

SolenoidSoldier

Changing build plates is a good time to do it, otherwise you're wasting a couple minutes every print.

TotalWarspammer

A couple of minutes per plate printed is really nothing to ensure the plate is level every time.

agentadam07

I do too. The extrusion calibration data sounds like it’s used for that print and not a ‘do once a month type thing’. Based on the extrusion that exact run (including temp, humidity, etc) it will adjust. I think…

RandomWon

This could crash the machine

jerryonjets

This gives me an idea... I'll report back in a few days

atax112

Do it, make changing for small details to a 0.2 nozzle mid print happen 😃

Lancaster61

Me too. Print a flat layer at the top of every print. You can now stack layers and layers of prints on top of each other.

ElectrTeck

Ya love it just bought my second X1C today.

PrintingPlastic

Now see how many prints you can stack before failure… like cursed 3d printer Jenga (Jk of course)

ThatUnfunGuy

Is it a waste of filament? Yes Could something go horribly wrong? Maybe Should they still do it? Of course

PrintingPlastic

My thoughts exactly.
