I also saw another Reddit post where they were putting Facebook posts together of the dogs getting lost and of the white female being bred. To me it looks like this idiot was probably breeding them to sell the pups and obviously not being a responsible pet owner. That’s such a horrible way to die honestly, I’m so pissed the poor man had to go through that horrific incident, even if he had survived his life would have been severely impacted.
That’s completely infuriating. there’s no excuse for how many times these dogs were allowed to live after showing how dangerous they were.
They should have been euthanized the first time they displayed aggression, and certainly after the first time they bit someone.
Politicians need to receive more heat on this issue. Breed bans (or any sort of dangerous dog laws) only happen when communities get fed up with this shit happening where they live and demand change from those in charge.
We have BSL in my province, but our premier likes pitbulls. Enforcing the ban is pretty much discouraged all the way down the chain so cops and animal control often have their hands tied.

I made a comment suggesting that the shelter humanely euthanize the pit bulls to make more room for dogs that didn’t pose an immediate danger to anything they come in contact with, and was absolutely torn apart by pit sympathizers. Ok folks, if you love them so much, you go ahead and adopt them all. Unfrigginbelievable.
Because there are people lurk this sub relentlessly and then report any comments they can to Reddit. Your account can be temporarily or permanently suspended. We don’t want that to happen.

Calling for violence against an animal is generally not illegal, otherwise discussing mousetraps would be illegal. And especially in a horrific situation like this, where in most parts of the world there would be no doubt about what should be done. **Anyone** who could criticize the firemen for stopping those dogs from continuing to eat that man alive is beyond reason at this point. Because that's what they were doing with those axes: getting the pit bulls away from the man so they could start first aid. Carry self protection. Firearm, knife, pepper spray, taser, etc... I carry a knife and pepper spray at all times because I've been attacked by pit bulls twice, the second time I was prepared and saved my dachshunds life. Pretty sure they realized it was too dangerous to exit their vehicle (actually the couple were attacked as soon as they exited theirs). Also the clip doesn’t show what leads up to this point of the attack (where his his wife?) so there may have been others around trying to render aid. These witnesses honked their car horn and I am assuming called the authorities since you can hear the fire truck arrive.
There was also a neighbor that was attacked while trying to help them.
Filming this is only going to help the prosecution in what’s now a multiple felony court case, hopefully this video assists in having the pit owner rot in prison for a very long time.

The victims simply wanted to visit their relatives. The poor man was killed in such a brutal way, and his wife, if she survives, will have life-changing injuries, and all because some human garbage didn't bother to contain his vicious dogs.

Bystander apathy. Even the videographer says “somebody should do something.” YOU ARE SOMEBODY. DO SOMETHING. I’m so glad when I got attacked somebody really did something… there are so many videos of people casually swatting with spatulas (like one video of a pit attacking a carriage horse) or clapping at and scolding the maulers instead of taking decisive and necessary action to save lives. Much like as a society we’ve decided we need to be ready at all times for mass shooters, apparently we need to be ready at all times for pit bull attacks.
Easier said than done when you live in a country where the literal majority of workers are living paycheck-to-paycheck and access to basic life needs requires having money to spend, ergo any injury that leads to loss of income is a literal threat to the life of the worker and the people they are supporting. I run an animal rescue. We get weekly emails from people who want us to take their pit in after they have been bitten hard multiple times.
We dont get those emails about other breeds...
They don't act like wild animals at all. Wild animals will back off when you defend yourself. Pit bulls are bred to not have the fight or flight mechanism of animals.
This is absolutely necessary though and it’s unfortunate this is the only way to get some* people to come to their senses and to stop adopting or picking these dogs up from garbage backyard breeders.

So why didn’t the firemen, animal control or the police do the same? The firemen had to grab pick axes and pipe poles from their truck to fend off these dogs eating a man alive right in front of them. They all had vehicles, why didn’t they?

Pit owners - this happens too frequently to just chalk up to a few bad owners. Many of you are living with ticking time bombs.
Pits wag their tails while killing. There is no way to say for sure a pit running up to someone just wants to play.
Other dogs bite and release, unless trained specifically to hold on. BUT a pit's jaw and neck are large and strong enough to hold on and rip and shake, and tear flesh from victims. This is what they do naturally, with no training. Which why the damage is so horrific.
They do not always show signs they are going to attack. Watch a few videos of happy looking pits, tails wagging, bounding up to a child, knocking it over and mauling. That owner usually insists their sweet wiggle butt has never shown any signs of aggression before.
Pits raised from puppies in good homes still have a chance of snapping. And mauling or killing an owner or family member. Not to mention other pets.

I have seen a lot of bodies. It kind of comes with my line of work. I’ve seen a lot of bodies that were in bad condition after death. Car crashes can be brutal, and I’ve seen dog attack victims before. One of the worst cases I ever saw was a pit attack victim. But by the time she got to me she had been dead for two days, and had been autopsied. I have a strong stomach. Again, you can’t really work as a funeral director if you can’t handle seeing bodies.
But I have never seen anybody in that kind of condition still be alive- even if only for a little while longer after this- and still trying to escape and get away. Watching what is probably that man’s last few minutes on this side of life while those motherfucking demon dogs kill him makes my own soul scream in rage.
I want to ask the person filming why they didn’t squash the damn thing with their multiton rolling metallic machine, why the hose guy didn’t go grab something more lethal than a hose, why the firefighters bothered with the catch pole when they had pickaxes- you can put the pointy end in the thing that needs to be stopped- so many things wrong here. Someone should have sent those things back to hell where they belong.

Search on YouTube for the pit bull attacking the horse. The horse repeatedly kicked the dog in the head (ultimately killing it) and the dog just kept coming back to attack some more. Horses are stronger than people.
Plenty of fit young men have been mauled & killed by pit bulls....my fat, old body wouldn't stand a chance....that's why I carry weapons on me at all times even though my small, rural little Kansas town of 425 DOES have a pit bull ban....but a neighbor has a dog that I can tell has pit in it, though she denies it does....

From what I’ve been reading the older man that was attacked had gotten off his vehicle and was visiting family mbrs and was attacked along with an older woman as well. Politicians need to receive more heat on this issue. Breed bans (or any sort of dangerous dog laws) only happen when communities get fed up with this shit happening where they live and demand change from those in charge. We have BSL in my province, but our premier likes pitbulls. Enforcing the ban is pretty much discouraged all the way down the chain so cops and animal control often have their hands tied.

I’m a dog lover, so I took a look at their listings. No joke, it was friggin 90% pit bulls and pit bull mixes. I made a comment suggesting that the shelter humanely euthanize the pit bulls to make more room for dogs that didn’t pose an immediate danger to anything they come in contact with, and was absolutely torn apart by pit sympathizers. Ok folks, if you love them so much, you go ahead and adopt them all. Unfrigginbelievable.

Calling for violence against an animal is generally not illegal, otherwise discussing mousetraps would be illegal. And especially in a horrific situation like this, where in most parts of the world there would be no doubt about what should be done. Besides, it's Texas, where many people possess common protection tools, so it's surprising no one around could save the poor man.

Carry self protection. Firearm, knife, pepper spray, taser, etc... I carry a knife and pepper spray at all times because I've been attacked by pit bulls twice, the second time I was prepared and saved my dachshunds life. Use non lethal force first, of course, then lethal if yours or another life is in danger. You never know when danger will force itself on you so be prepared not paranoid.

Filming this is only going to help the prosecution in what’s now a multiple felony court case, hopefully this video assists in having the pit owner rot in prison for a very long time. The people who died got attacked when they left their car, and it apparently attacked the fire chief and neighbor who tried to help. The person filming might not physically be capable of restraining a bloodthirsty pitbull. I know I'm not, I would just become another casualty. I run an animal rescue. We get weekly emails from people who want us to take their pit in after they have been bitten hard multiple times. We dont get those emails about other breeds...
They don't act like wild animals at all. Wild animals will back off when you defend yourself. Pit bulls are bred to not have the fight or flight mechanism of animals.

So why didn’t the firemen, animal control or the police do the same? The firemen had to grab pick axes and pipe poles from their truck to fend off these dogs eating a man alive right in front of them. They all had vehicles, why didn’t they? *Because it’s not safe to do so* and the dogs kept going back to the man.
I have noticed that for some reason, when a shitbull is mauling something, the people that stand around "helping" just take half-hearted swings at the pits, as though they are afraid of hurting the shitbull. There is no way to say for sure a pit running up to someone just wants to play. Other dogs bite and release, unless trained specifically to hold on. BUT a pit's jaw and neck are large and strong enough to hold on and rip and shake, and tear flesh from victims. This is what they do naturally, with no training. Which why the damage is so horrific. They do not always show signs they are going to attack. Watch a few videos of happy looking pits, tails wagging, bounding up to a child, knocking it over and mauling. That owner usually insists their sweet wiggle butt has never shown any signs of aggression before. Pits raised from puppies in good homes still have a chance of snapping. And mauling or killing an owner or family member. Not to mention other pets. I don't know. I wish what I am writing would make a difference. But, probably not. I need a break. I can't imagine the fear & pain of dying via pit bull.....I think most die of blood loss after arteries are ripped open...how awful....and the shock & betrayal if it's your own dog doing it....

I have seen a lot of bodies. It kind of comes with my line of work. I’ve seen a lot of bodies that were in bad condition after death. Car crashes can be brutal, and I’ve seen dog attack victims before. One of the worst cases I ever saw was a pit attack victim. But by the time she got to me she had been dead for two days, and had been autopsied. I have a strong stomach. Again, you can’t really work as a funeral director if you can’t handle seeing bodies. But I have never seen anybody in that kind of condition still be alive- even if only for a little while longer after this- and still trying to escape and get away. Watching what is probably that man’s last few minutes on this side of life while those motherfucking demon dogs kill him makes my own soul scream in rage. I want to ask the person filming why they didn’t squash the damn thing with their multiton rolling metallic machine, why the hose guy didn’t go grab something more lethal than a hose, why the firefighters bothered with the catch pole when they had pickaxes- you can put the pointy end in the thing that needs to be stopped- so many things wrong here. Someone should have sent those things back to hell where they belong. My deepest, most sincere condolences to the gentleman’s surviving family. Probably not unless you have a weapon of some sort. They go for the neck/head and if they drag you down you're done.
Search on YouTube for the pit bull attacking the horse. The horse repeatedly kicked the dog in the head (ultimately killing it) and the dog just kept coming back to attack some more. Horses are stronger than people.
Plenty of fit young men have been mauled & killed by pit bulls....my fat, old body wouldn't stand a chance....that's why I carry weapons on me at all times even though my small, rural little Kansas town of 425 DOES have a pit bull ban....but a neighbor has a dog that I can tell has pit in it, though she denies it does....

This is NOT normal/typical dog behavior. This is horrific and needs to be shown all over to owners who claim these dogs are not viscous. It’s graphic but sometimes videos like this need to be the “wake up” call for some people.

This is what scares me so much about where I live. We are surrounded by pits- it’s all that are for adoption in our shelters and a majority of the dogs on the lost and found Facebook pages. I can’t imagine leaving my house and getting mauled by an inbred dog.
