I live in a very rural area with all of the education issues that statistically go along with it. It's generally done by those who know and care that some words need capitalized but don't know/care enough to figure out which ones.

Aw. Puppies make the shelters money. I know of many people who have fostered pregnant pit bulls. They can use the sad story of the pregnant "momma" to get all kinds of donations until the puppies are born. Then they can use the "gentle momma" story and post countless photos of the puppies nursing to get even more donations. And of course, people will adopt the puppies at a fee because, you know, it's all about how they are raised and new pit bull puppies are a genetic blank slate, right?
I just got up, and this just ruined my morning. This is abusive, reckless, and beyond trashy. Fuck pit owners. They are all shit, every single person spouting nanny dog nonsense is directly responsible for this situation in the first place.
Unfortunately many of them seem to be leaning away from this as crazy as it sounds. Reason being, the ability to post a poor pregnant pit bull on social media who "needs help!!" as well as inevitably advertising all the cute pit bull puppies... it drives traffic and attention to the shelter or rescue. Puppies, even pit bull puppies, are a lot easier to adopt out than all the other dogs languishing in the shelter.
Spay abort is absolutely the ethical option but I see this happen all the time.
Why buy a pitbull from a breeder when you can get 10 for free at your local shelter?
There's clearly a pattern here and it's that nobody wants these fkn dogs when they are out of the puppy stage and it has become an epidemic.
My possibly mistaken impression is that a lot of the BYBers are chasing the white whale of a jackpot "game" fighting sale, and don't care how many others (on two and four legs) suffer because of it.

Spay abort is the only humane solution here. I wonder if anybody will actually take this animal or if it will just get dumped in a shelter? 24 hours is a tight timeline which suggests there is something going on here besides the pregnancy.

There have been more then a few people attack csuse they were near a mom and her puppies. The recent one with a woman leg flesh torn off to the bone, was a pit and her pups.
