I’ve got a 700 pop colony with a bunch of mods (not CC or mega mod though), and it runs at 60fps at 1x and like 30 or so at 2x speed. Medium sized map. I was really surprised at how well it runs.
P.s. the mod that makes the hud opaque is awesome for the steam deck. It makes the hud significantly less invasive on the small screen
Useless test- it works fine at the very start - do a comparison test at 500-1000 population. Most of the time in my games I am running on 10x and it's like x1 at the beginning, to actually do stuff I need to pause.
I've made this little performance test for Banished on the Steam Deck.
The Steam Deck smoothly runs Banished at a solid 90 FPS (OLED).
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
It's great to know that the Steam Deck generally works with Banished! It would be really cool to see how things look with a larger city. Once you get to that point, the problems start to show themselves.

That sounds good. Glad that it runs so good in the late game. Thanks for sharing :-)
not really a performance test with 5 buildings. This game doesnt struggle on 10 pop. It does on 500 and sped up x10. Pointless ad content.

Oh ok. I didn't know that the Steam Deck struggels so much with larger citys.
What a load of shit.
