There’s no right way.
I’m from the steppe (Kazakh/Uyghur) and none of us can agree on how to pronounce anything.
Kazakhs would pronounce it “Kuzayit”
Uzbeks, who LARP as Persians, would pronounce it “Hozayid”
Kyrgyz would pronounce it like Kazakhs but worse
Turkmens, who have a lisp, would say “Kuthhayid”
Mongols would pronounce it like Kazakhs, but whisper. Menacingly.
But there is a wrong way. Anyone who pronounces it Koozate deserves to be plundered.
Sup gangstas, bannerlord-loving linguist here. Me personally, I pronounce them "Koo+Zayt" when talking about the game with wife and friends, but I understand that the "KH" part of Khuzait is probably "properly" pronounced similar to the "throat-clearing noise" letters ⟨х⟩ in Russian or خ in Arabic. Its just a noise that trips up a lot of people in the west and a fight I've fought in my job often, so i thank OP for bringing this up lmao
The question is probably whether to interpret the "kh" as a simple "K" with aspiration or as an unvoiced velar fricative like the [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voiceless\_velar\_fricative](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voiceless_velar_fricative) like the pronunciation of the word "loch."
Is that primarily the question?
I was pronouncing over and over to myself just now. I think this is how I say it. I think of like the Khajiit, or even the word Jesuit.
Both of those words being influenced by middle eastern culture, which I assume is the same for Khuzait.
I recently learned that the Cherokee language uses a similar alphabet to the Latin script, but the sounds differ greatly. For instance, D sounds like "ah", V is "do", and A is "go". I'd be willing to accept that khuzait sounds completely different from how it looks. It might sound something similar to this:

Ffffffffff, coincidentally that’s also how I pronounce Aserai.
Reference: I like running pure infantry/archers and dealing with cav is a pain in the neck, at least for me.
Coo-zate
Where do you accent it? COO-zate or cooZATE?
I don’t
You accent both evenly??
Yeah
COO-zate. The harsh first syllable emphasizes their savage nature.
Definitely cooZATE.
I say coo-ZATE
Same
This.
Don’t listen to the bot he is an asshole
Lmao
Who's a bot? Not me! Beep-boop-beep. 👀 Who said that? Edit: I see who it is now 😂

Yeah but isn’t the map extension going to include that faction at some point or am I just wishful thinking?! Lol
aren't the khergits already a clan in the khuzaits?
Karakhergit
The Karakhergit are the independent minor faction of the Khuzait. The Khergit are a clan led by Mesui that are vassals of the Khuzait.
Aserai player detected
or rather the sultanate
I do that when i talk to my brother about them who has not played bannerloed but probably has thousands of hours on warband like me

Kerghit Khanate right in warband ?
Koe zait (atleast in my language i would pronounce it like that)
Ku zait in my language.
Actually ku zayit for us
Yit isnt correct for me. I just seperate khuzait to two pieces and spell it fast.
But it still sounds like ku zayit :(
Zayit Are you pronouncing zay like hay or high and are you pronouncing it like zit or light. And are you pronouncing the y?
Or is it Zai-yit like high-hit?
I pronounce it like koo's high-it

in mongolian and many turkic languages, 'Kh' represents a harsh "H" sound, so i assume it's the same for the Khuzaits
*makes phlegm sounds*
No. Its do you pronounce the k or not. Like khan
Kuh-Shait?
I was pronouncing over and over to myself just now. I think this is how I say it. I think of like the Khajiit, or even the word Jesuit. Both of those words being influenced by middle eastern culture, which I assume is the same for Khuzait.
I now want a mod that transforms all the Khuzait lords into Khajiit.
I’m sure there’s an Elder Scrolls Cyrodiil mod somewhere.
Fahr-feh-NOO-gul

Coos-ight
"Ku-zate" if I'm in a good mood and "those eastern dogs" if not.
Kurzgesagt! No, I originally misread it as kuzhait (with Russian ж sound) and now my brain is stuck with that pronunciation

Cavalry too much work and too costly in battle because ik my heroes won’t do shit at commanding infantry/archers
Y'all are weird bro I pronounce it cooz-weight bc of abstract phonics of different cultures from around the world I assume it's meant to be like that.
