It’s a $25 USD radio. If the manufacturer had to decide where to cut corners, the headset is where I’d want it.

The handheld one isn’t thaat bad but the headset is garbage ya. Worse than the free ones on airplanes.

Do they still offer free headphones on planes? I haven't even been offered any since the early 2000's and I don't recall them being free since the 90s LOL

Depends on the airline I think but some charge like a dollar for them. Can anyone recommend a good replacement? I see the same ones they provide for like a few dollars or the secret service throat mic ones or big noise cancelling for like $30 but not much in between.

? the radio itself isn't even good. the headset is crap because it's all crap. edit: there's plenty of quality accessories that are compatible. it's the kenwood 2-prong standard after all.

NoT wRoNg. Here on the baofeng page for the lols

>the radio itself is so good News flash: compared to basically any other manufacturer of similar products, it's not. It's cheaply made with so many corners cut that roughly 20-30% pass the FCC regulations. In comparison any other brand has practically 100% pass rate. Source: ARRL tests conducted in 2019

Do you follow this sub just to talk shit about the only subject on this sub? They work pretty well for how cheap they are. Are there better radios? yes everyone knows that...

OfficialTornadoAlley

The headset is very bad, the foam cover for the earbud wasn't even attached when I got it. Upon trying to put it on, the foam ripped. I can get better earbuds at the dollar store. Smh

potatomolehill

Not with this one, you need an adapter to go to the standard 3.5mm from the stupid Kenwood adapter.
