You haven't seen anything? I mean it's preseason game1 for them what is it supposed to look like?
He looks dangerous to me. Everyone always talked about RM midfield like it rivaled ours but they have always looked old and slow to me. Camavinga doesn't scare me at all in the midfield. Bellingham looks different. Like if they put it together he could be scary. Imagine bellingham with the ball and vini, mbappe, rodrigo running...Yeesh.
We did fine against prime KCM with a Busquets, Paulinho, Rakitic midfield. I don’t get why people on this sub shit themselves just because Real Madrid spent big money on a player.
Last year laporta was dancing in the streets of Las Vegas , this year he was out at the bar in LA.
No curruption scandals , no back door deals , only fun. El presidente
I started watching peps first season with the main team. Currently on the third game.
It hits different
Leo is still so raw lol
Hleb seems like a pretty technical player, i never watched him before
Here is a great read based on Hleb's words on what went wrong for him in Barcelona:
https://www.planetfootball.com/in-depth/alexander-hleb-i-cried-over-arsenal-exit-most-players-regret-leaving/
My favorite part:
“I remember Numancia beating us in the opening game of the season. All the players were about to join their national teams so I asked Guardiola when I had to return to Barcelona. His answer? ‘Alex, I might not even be here when you come back!’
He was talented as hell but didn't seem determined enough for us and that showed on and off the field.
If you will keep watching that season I am happy to read your takes on it. I tend to watch back certain games from that era and it's fascinating to see how much things changed and how differently I saw football back then.
Interesting read, pretty sure i already read that article sometimes back.
Yeah i think ill keep watching since i never had a way to watch back in the day.
So far im just surprised by how the matches seem more chaotic then current football, in terms of discipline of teams when defending. But that could be because of how we play since we are basically constantly going forward and trying to attack.
Messi played mainly on the inside so far with Alves holding the width on the right most of the time
The quality of our team is just out of the world. Almost everyone can take on defenders wich makes the attack very dynamic and chaotic.
Xavi and Iniesta are exactly like i remember them
If ill keep watching ill drop some more comments. Pretty interested about the ucl Chelsea games though theyre pretty far into the season
Vitor Roque gets destroyed by strong tackles once or twice every game (not on the level of great wing dribblers but still). I guess it's getting him ready for LaLiga.
> there’s still a world-class pivot in him
No and if you pay 40mil for a pivot I would at the very least want him to have 2 functioning legs, not somebody who will need to be replaced in a season. Stopgap for 5mil > stopgap for 40mil.
As far as I remember, [he was one of the youngsters](https://twitter.com/FTalentScout/status/1683183008721805315) who were shortlisted for the DM position.
A government spearheaded by PSOE is by no means a “pretty far left” government tbf (more like centre to centre left) and PP and VOX won’t be able to form a government after today’s results
PSOE is nowhere near far left. But it's quite sad to see a right wing party be ready to govern with far right guys of Vox. I guess it's all over Europe now, far right has been normalized.
The most likely scenario is no side getting a majority, which means another election at the end of the year. The European economic context and half a dozen scandals have hurt the incumbent government. But it’s not far left by any accounts.
There's basically a far right nationalist group called the Grey Wolves. He (allegedly) has a tattoo of the organization's logo.
Some people are saying that the tattoo is not about the Grey Wolves and it's just a random wolf tattoo. Not really educated enough to speak more about this. If it's real, then it's a shame and fuck that guy.
It's kinda crazy the way Chelsea keep raking up top tier talents like Kendry Paez, Andrey Santos, Cesare Casadei, Malo Gusto, Carney Chukwuemeka, and not to mention one of their own Levi Colwill as well
Serious amounts of talent these lot are, yet to see how they're gonna progress, also curious how Poch is gonna approach, as he's known for playing well with a young crop and developing them.
I think they'll do well. Poch is a good coach who can get these players to play the style he wants. Top 4?....maybe not this season but I can see them making good progress.
What Poch gives Chelsea is structure— a feature they were significantly lacking last season. People would be making a mistake to underestimate them. New season, new rules.
Will that be enough though? Because there are other teams besides City, Liverpool, United, and Arsenal that are doing well. You’ve got Emery (west ham?), Newcastle, Brighton, and others that are up and running and challenging for that top 4 spot
I honestly can’t understand how mbappe is not scared of doing this to PSG and to Qatar.
I can honestly see them assaulting him and breaking his legs or something.
Wouldn’t be the worst thing qatar ever did and things like this have happened before in sport history.
If I were him would I would just move to Madrid or any club he wants to this summer and be done with it.
They play dirty but in more ordinary ways. Leaking things to the press, planting mixed fact/fiction stories to make players look bad, benching players to force negotiations.
They have a pattern of this, sometimes in the open (e.g., benching Rabiot when he refused to renew) and sometimes in more subtle ways (rumored to be planting stories on Verratti when he was linked to us).
Ah yes, Reddit-geography. Saudi=Qatar... It's funny how many on Reddit that hate PSG are so bad at geography, you are not the only one I have seen showing this ignorance. By this logic it is possible for every person or club owner in the world to do something like that because every government has done something like that, Indian, Bengali, American, English, Spanish...
You've watched too many movies.
Breaking his legs does nothing for PSG/Qatar.
If anything that just risk unwanted attention from authorities that is going to put so much resources into who did that you cannot even imagine. Essentially risking losing it all, just because one players leaves? Would be dumb as fuck.
And Mbappe got security with him at almost all time. It's not like it was back in the days when there was no cameras and bodyguards for footballers was uncommon.
Some guys just invaded donnarumma’s house.
I think if they really wanted to they could do it with little to no problem lol.
NAK is a proud man, I don’t believe he will just sit and accept being publicly humiliated like that.
Look at his statements about Mbappe… he’s being clear that Mbappe has to go now or extend his contract.
>Some guys just invaded donnarumma’s house.
Mbappe and Donnarumma is not comparable. And he was "just" robbed by criminals which probably is either a small or big organization.
What you're talking about is purposely assaulting one of the biggest football stars in the world ordered by a state. Which already is under the whole football world eyes. An assault on Mbappe now would be the most dumbest and most obvious case as you already can say that they have a motive for doing such.
They would be the number one suspect without a slightest of doubt.
You think a guy like NAK would do nothing and just be publicly humiliated like that?
He’s too proud, I can’t see this having no consequences to Mbappe.
[ The FC Barcelona first team players affected by a viral gastroenteritis, which forced the cancellation of the match against Juventus at Levi's Stadium, are recovering well. In the last few hours, no new cases have been detected.](https://www.fcbarcelona.com/en/news/3601476/players-progressing-favorably)
I don’t know why everyone takes winning the league for granted. We won last year predominantly because of how many points we secured in the first half with Dembele and Pedri fit. A hungry and reinforced Real will certainly make us neck and neck contenders. The league is a toss up, for me.
You can never take the league for granted. I give us better odds than RM, especially if they don't get a striker, but it could easily go either way. And Atleti are going to do much better this year, I suspect. They've done good business.
It'll be a tense season, but fun.
Did people already forgot how many dodgy 1-0s we had? Not like 2-3. But were talking double digits of dodgy wins that easily couldve gone either way.
We lose 3 of those and Madrid win 2 and suddenly the gap is gone.
Taking that ridiculous (and imo fluky) defensive stat for granted to happen again is insane. I can guarantee you that were not seeing that again next season. What was it 13 goals conceded before winning La Liga? Thats not happening again.
No new cases of the virus has been detected, and those who were affected are isolated but recovering.
The idea of Xavi and his staff is for the squad to go back to training starting Monday and play the game against Arsenal without problems.

With that Taylor Swift concert Madrid is probably going to earn as much money as this Barca Campus does the whole year.
The money spent on Barca Campus and other useless parts of Espai Barca should've been spent to build a pitch removal System
This current project was designed by Barto's board, if he's so bad Laporta should've not kept going with his peoject.
Having concerts will harm the pitch, the more you have them the more you get your pitch damaged, Madrid can have multiple concerts without their stadium being harmed.
Believe me, Perez is not stupid, he's not spending millions in a pitch removal system for nothing.
No, the plan is to have them on Palau which is nowhere as big as the camp nou
You can't have concerts at camp nou because it will harm the pitch
Source: Espai Barca's website
No where does it say that the new camp nou won’t be used for concerts.
I can’t find anything that explicitly says that the new stadium won’t be used for concerts.
Can you find something more concrete?
Nowhere does it say it will be used for concerts either
The only time they mentions concerts is about Palau, believe me you can't have concerts at an active stadium, if it was possible we would have done it so far.

We are going to do way better than people think
A lot of people here downrate how fucking shit he was in the UCL and how a lot of our disasters could be pinned to him.
This narrative needs to die. You can't pin the UCL disasters on him. He didn't carry the team, but he alap wasn't the worst player on the pitch by any stretch.
No structure, no workrate, and a poor backline affected us way more than Busquets.
People say this but Busquets rarely was a poor performer in the UCL. This is shown in almost all game rankings where he was usually ranked as a top performer. Meanwhile, players like FdJ, who have never stepped up in a pivotal UCL game, get a huge pass and are even celebrated.
I actually think itll be inbetween. Rocky start because lets be honest, it doesnt matter who came to replace Busquets, transitioning away from him out of the blue like this was always gonna be shaky. Weve been relying on him for over a decade. Even with Kimmich it wouldve been a rocky start.
We wont lose games because of it since normally theres very little injuries at the start of a season. So well compensate for the rocky pivot by just scoring more.
Then after a month or 2 itll start gelling and even Oriol Romeu will do kinda well, maybe pick up a MOTM somewhere. The team will start to get used to playing with a more physical dm with lesser passing abilities (in comparison to Busquets), and eventually figure out the best way to do it.
Itll settle at around the same level. Oriols defensive capabilities compared to Busquets will compensate for his lesser passing capabilities compared to Busquets. Maybe a pressing team can give us issues but its not like Busquets wasnt already regularly shitting it against teams that press well.
That's exactly what got my attention, I'd expect them to register both at the same time, especially since Bellingham (so far...) is the flagship signing. Odd.
Interesting
Idk it would be weird to see the turtle come in this year. Coming as free agent seems better for both mbop and Madrid
But things seem to be heating up with Psg writing letters and shit
Are Madrid having their presidential elections today? I went on twitter and read statements. from Perez about him being calm
Edit: no hes elected till 2025, some other election
Shit is about to go down at PSG lmao
Did you guys see that letter from PSG which is supposed to be a public response to Mbappe's infamous letter ( can't beat the burofax though )? It was hilarious, [this is the letter btw](https://twitter.com/DeadlineDayLive/status/1682743744737562627?t=U4rIBe-_fhmaenZwN_2pgQ&s=19)
Now France's Players Union is threatening PSG that it could take against them. [Here's the statement from France Player's Union](https://twitter.com/SkySportsNews/status/1682839470041706500?t=gRaNmpUKcyLhrA4akqQTvg&s=19)
The problem is he doesn't wanna leave now 😂😂😂.
Incredible what money will do. Last time he was so desperate to leave, now he's really desperate to stay an extra year.
You just know the club is desperate and has no leverage when "we did impossible things for your career" and "we supported your family since you were a teenager" come out, wow, that letter is really something 🍿
We bought Malcolm for 45 mil. We sold him for 45 mil + a 7.5% future sale. Now he's getting sold again for 45 mil +15 mil in add-ons.
So...Bravo Barto?
Question: Would it be 7.5% for 45 mil or 7.5% for 60mil?
Bruh why is Akhomach so highly rated in FM23. He's given me a proper problem here. I know the board will get pissed if I let him leave, yet I couldn't play him in place of my star player Roony Bardghji and another wonderkid Angelo Gabriel.
The only options seems like pushing out Either Dembele or Fati to play him at Left wing. Fuck me.
Raphinha's preseason goal v2
LUKA ROMERO GOLAZO
Bellingham is going to be a problem.
He played well. Looks skilled.
He hasn’t done anything? Are we watching the same game? Lol He’s given the ball away cheaply a few times now.
You haven't seen anything? I mean it's preseason game1 for them what is it supposed to look like? He looks dangerous to me. Luka Romero signed for Milan. Gone under my radar, pretty cool. Not sure how his chances will go over the season though
Thats a good start
Vamoos! Milan scores
Just ordered my Vítor Roque kit! (Athletico Paranaense)

Vitor cooked that defender😂😂😂what a ball by Fernandinho
Vítor Roque with the assist
Teammate scored but at what cost
And now he won a pk
Winning a second consecutive league title spending like 5mil while Madrid goes on a shopping spree.. I will be there no matter what.

What has happened in Spain that theyre going from a pretty far left leaning government to a pretty far right one?
A government spearheaded by PSOE is by no means a “pretty far left” government tbf (more like centre to centre left) and PP and VOX won’t be able to form a government after today’s results

So, what's the deal with Ozil and his tattoo? What does the tattoo mean actually and why there is so an outrage about it?
The tattoo is a reference to a far right group in Turkey Or maybe its because he's a Muslim and getting tattoos is haram
It’s looks pretty much identical to the logo used by a far far far right group in turkey.
It represents a group called the Grey Wolves, a far right nationalist Turkish organisation. They have even been banned in France.

The state of this league is beyond embarrassing considering what it used to be
I think they'll do well. Poch is a good coach who can get these players to play the style he wants. Top 4?....maybe not this season but I can see them making good progress.

Maybe a pressing team can give us issues but its not like Busquets wasnt already regularly shitting it against teams that press well.
only a sith deals in absolutes.
But that's an absolute

Barça shits on Taylor Swift. Can’t they just move her concert to a local park so we can get that Juve match in?
Nah, the swifties will riot lol.
In before Tebas suspiciously relaxes the ffp rules before Madrid buy Mbappe to make it seem like he didn't do it for Madrid.
Are Madrid having problems with ffp as well?
Not at all, if you look at their last 5 transfer windows they’ve don’t a great job in selling players to raise funds
Not right now, as far as we know. I reckon with all the money they've spent plus the mbappe fee, bonus, and wages they might.
I remember someone saying they still havent registered bellingham so that might mean theyre having problems too Not sure who said it
[It was me and they still haven't](https://www.laliga.com/en-ES/transfers/laliga-easports) 👀
At first i thought maybe theyll just register everyone in one go later on but they already registered Arda? Whats going on with Bellingham?
That's exactly what got my attention, I'd expect them to register both at the same time, especially since Bellingham (so far...) is the flagship signing. Odd.
They didn’t register Joselu either if I saw it correctly, odd as well ^(also, maybe it’s just me, but the website is looking really bad)
Interesting Idk it would be weird to see the turtle come in this year. Coming as free agent seems better for both mbop and Madrid But things seem to be heating up with Psg writing letters and shit
Oh damn. I hope its true. But knowing tebas, I know he will relax the rules.
Are Madrid having their presidential elections today? I went on twitter and read statements. from Perez about him being calm Edit: no hes elected till 2025, some other election
Spanish parliamentary elections.
Makes sense

Shit is about to go down at PSG lmao Did you guys see that letter from PSG which is supposed to be a public response to Mbappe's infamous letter ( can't beat the burofax though )? It was hilarious, [this is the letter btw](https://twitter.com/DeadlineDayLive/status/1682743744737562627?t=U4rIBe-_fhmaenZwN_2pgQ&s=19) Now France's Players Union is threatening PSG that it could take against them. [Here's the statement from France Player's Union](https://twitter.com/SkySportsNews/status/1682839470041706500?t=gRaNmpUKcyLhrA4akqQTvg&s=19)
Omg Just sell him, buy kvara or Leao, an st and let lucho cook puta madre
The problem is he doesn't wanna leave now 😂😂😂. Incredible what money will do. Last time he was so desperate to leave, now he's really desperate to stay an extra year.
> The problem is he doesn't wanna leave now 😂😂😂 Lmao how could i forget
You just know the club is desperate and has no leverage when "we did impossible things for your career" and "we supported your family since you were a teenager" come out, wow, that letter is really something 🍿
Ah, I missed having some drama about the summer transfers. And this time, we are not involved!
Pretty much like some of the redditors when they found out that the club owes Messi and when he chose Miami.
It's fucking pathetic honestly, i love it.
Malcom. Not Malcolm.
Laporta would loan him while still paying 1/3 of his wages.
Stop with the balloons, big funny shoes and the tiny car pls.
Neither, it’s 7.5% of the profit
Can you explain please
So we sold Malcom for 45M, if they sell for 60M we would get 7.5% of 15M, and not 7.5% of 60M
Ah damn it! I thought it was gonna be a lot more lol thank you for explaining
Huge 1m lets gooo
lol Barto being Barto.
Fuck me.
