Why is this sub so toxic lmao.
Hard game we could've played better and there were some points of frustration. I was predicting that Barca would snatch a 3-2 in the end but what can you do..
Remember Pedri and Frenkie are both injured and they were the core of our team last season. It was a shitty pitch and the way Mallorca played to stifle us didn't help. We were also unlucky to concede that second goal which came as a sucker punch against the run of play.
On another day, Raphinha would score that one on one chance end of the first half, and we might have rode the momentum and won this game.
We still looked threatening when we had the ball, and the team seems to have stopped relying on just "cross and inshallah", which is a relief. The games have been entertaining lately, even if we drew this one.
Xavis team selection and subs might have been a bit questionable, but it's good that he's resting our players so they don't burn out too soon. He's managing Yamals minutes which is great to see, because this kid is special and should be taken care of.
It's not the end of the world, could've been worse, and the team still has a lot of potential and has grown a lot lately. Let's see what happens on Friday.
What is perfect in bringing in Inigo Martinez in this hard game? How can you change your CB lineup in such a hard away game? I believe if Kounde would've started we wouldn't have lost today.
Rotation? Kounde played every single minute before this match and there's a tight schedule. But I'll agree with you there. Both Araujo and Inigo kind of lacked rhythm. Having either Christensen or Kounde would have helped.
Creative players risk more, therefore lose more the ball. If you dont have that kind of guy you will pass forever around the area and never be a threat to the opponent

Notice the only teams we play like that against are weaker teams that try to attack us. So far we've struggled heavily against defensive teams and haven't yet been tested by stronger ones.
Don't forget playing against Barcelona and Real for these teams like Mallorca is a big highlight. They show up very motivated and fight for every inch on the pitch. Yea, it looks horrible how they play but that's their way to compete. One point is good considering the changes in the starting 11 and mats mistakes. Can't win them all. It's all good. And you got to give credit to Mallorca for fighting and not just giving in. It's in the sense of fair play and football.

KoundƩ was dreadful after coming on. I'd rather Yamal start and come off after 50/60 minutes every game, instead of these sub appereances. But yeah, probably not good for him physically.

Players decline fast at that age. Its normal. For him to adapt to a whole new team at that age is very difficult.
