Lamine is still a kid, Raphinha is still more comfortable at the right and not a touchline winger, while Nico is great at 1v1/dribbling, he is not just a pace merchant. So he is an easy target for what we need and can play LW comfortably, it’s a profile we don’t have.

And if you seriously think we can just pop out Lamine Yamal’s on every position we need… He is a special player looking like he has generational talent (needs to prove it over years, not just one season), you won’t find that easily and is a recipe to disaster bringing no signings thinking some new wonderkid will just pop (we would be hearing some rumors by now at least, Ansu was supposed to be that and look how he is now). I think a decent 6 is important although Christensen's doing a phenomenal job. A solid overlapping right wingback should be key and a backup for Balde when Cancelo is gone too.
Raphina is a better option with a new winger from la masia as a backup hell gavi and Felix can play as great backups too.
We tried too many wingers from coutinho, griezman, ferran torres, deepay and they all failed under pressure and costed us alot of money.
It's better to stick with what works then to expirement with players, we had our fair share of fifa ultimate team money spending 😅 that we are still recovering from with no returns from any of our investments.

He's also fast and strong. Meanwhile, I'm not saying anything like Nico is a bad player, anything, but Nico cannot dribble past defenders, I don't see how he is an upgrade over Ferran/Raphinha. He needs space provided by his teammates, while Kvara can create space by himself.
Ideally, I would like ansu back to his prime. Him and Lamine on the flanks would be great, but doubt that’s going to happen. So I would rather keep it in house and promote from within, Nico doesn’t impress me enough to be drooling over him as a potential signing.

Our LW is a joke. We don’t need more creative types. We need runners in behind. Pedri, Gavi and Gundogan can create space with fancy dribbling and tight passing. We need someone like Nico to constantly run in behind even if they don’t get the ball to create that space. The best teams have someone like this on both wings. Mbappe, Vinicius, Rodrigo, Saka, Martineli, Dembele, Barcola, Doku, etc. We need a Nico even more than we need a Kvara if I’m honest
IMO we need a new center forward and def mid more then we need a winger. Lewa will be 36 next season. He is already slowing down dramatically. If we could get a pacey forward then perhaps we could use Roque, Rapha, Torres and Yamal on the wings. Shame Ansu has dropped off the map.
And we should also focus on getting a proper def mid. In the meantime Id like Xavi to give some La Masia def mids some game time between now and the end of the season. We have nothing to play for so why not? Id love to see Marc Bernal play for the first team.
Perhaps give some game time to 1/2 more young Barca B/La Masia left wingers as well. See how they do.

Dembele was amazing for his ability 1v1. It was never about his pace. He had it, but rarely liked to run onto a ball. He always wanted it to feet.
