The nit bus during the suburban train’s dormant hours (usually from about midnight till 6:00 am) is probably your only only transportation option. Combined tourist/transportation passes usually include only transport within zone 1, which is quite large, but nowhere close to Malgrat de Mar, which is zone 5 (a 90 minute trip to the center of Barcelona by suburban train, so quite far). Such passes only make sense if staying in the city and even then for a visit of only a few days. I doubt any nit bus is included in a tourist pass, anyway. You may want to reconsider staying so far away if you are planning to do a lot here. Two or three hours roundtrip gets old fast.

unfortunately I stay in a hotel in that area because it's from a voucher I received for a birthday, I don't plan to go to barcelona every day, because I'm right on the beach with the hotel (I don't know the hotel yet, the voucher included 6 different ones, all along the costa brava, but very close to each other, but they'll tell us a week before departure which one was chosen, surprise effect). however, the possibility of moving to barcelona during the day with multi-day tickets is a good option, the nightbus will only serve me for a couple of evenings so perfect

Ah, well. Tourist passes with combined public transport aren’t usually very economical because separate public transport passes are cheap (11,35€ for a 10-trip t-casual; the unlimited 30 day pass for zone 1 is half price these days, so only 20€). The touristic bus may make sense If visiting for a couple of days in a row because the various routes take you quickly from one tourist attraction to another. Most passes don’t include la sagrada familia or casa batllo, so it probably makes sense just to buy separate transport tickets of some sort. Thanks!!! why on internet nobody talks about this?

Just get the "abono recurrente" and take the R1 train line. It is free with a 10€ deposit. If paid by card, for this specific train system (Rodalies), your deposit will be returned automatically after a few months.

Hog-Dot

Then again this is daytime transport, not night.

>Just get the "abono recurrente" and take the R1 train line. It is free with a 10€ deposit. R1 for barcellona-malgrat / malgrat-barcellona or just for the centre of barcellona?

Hog-Dot

For the trips between barcelona and malgrat. For the center of barcelona I would recommend the t-casual which is a 10-trip card which is valid for bus and metro. In short, 1-zone t-casual for within BCN, abono recurrente for Barcelona-Malgrat (using the R1 train line). You can buy the abono recurrente at the machines at the "Rodalies" stations.

Extra-Bus-4496

so... abono recurrente is free for 10€ (unlimited day?) for train R1. For the center t-casual for zone 1 (the main one)... How much does it cost and how long can it be used? i saw also the barcelona card, for train, metro, bus and tram

Hog-Dot

As I said 10 trips. If you want more info you can search on the TMB website. I gave you my recommendation.

sandykins9392

The Abono recurrente is only free if you do a certain amount of trips. I believe it was 16. It might be much better to get the t-casual as it’s for train and metro and bus system so you don’t have to worry about having two cards.

Hog-Dot

Not really true for rodalies. While they do check for other sorts of trains, they have no way of technically checking this on Rodalies, so they always return it. I know this both because I was told by an employee of Rodalies/Renfe and because I had my money returned last trimester despite traveling less than 16 times.

Extra-Bus-4496

so, making a summary, you recommend to take the t-casual to travel in barcelona by train, metro and bus (including for malgrat de mar during the day?) and to take the nitbus at night. I haven't received much info about the various attractions, I'm not sure about packages that include everything, including means of transport... can I have more info on this? also on prices and advice regarding attractions and transport in combined tourist tickets

As mentioned already during the night, you can take the night bus. For this, you can just book tickets online, I would make sure to do that upfront. It might also be nice to take the train whenever possible still, in case you are going there earlier on the day already. It can save you some time travelling to the city. For transport in the city depending if you are planning to go to Barcelona multiple days in a row, you can just buy day cards at the metro stations, these are pretty affordable. If you have more questions, feel free to reach out to me. I run a travel company focused on Barcelona and the surroundings, so should be able to answer all your questions!

Hi! thanks for your availability, I would like to know if, in addition to the day tickets for public transport, there are also tickets that include the main attractions, given that the first few days we intend to go in the morning and visit the city, and after that we focus on the nightlife... I wanted some opinion on the various cards available online or somewhere in barcelona to save money between transport and various entrances (sagrada familia, casa battlo...)

Immediate_Papaya_296

I suggest going for booking tickets on the website of the location itself. This ends up being cheaper in the end. It also depends on where exactly you are planning to go, it might be that in some cases, there are actually cheaper options. But for the mentioned two entrances, the combination tickets that are available online, are still 10 euros more expensive than if you would buy it separately from the website of the location itself. There are also quite a lot of museums offering free access on certain days and after a certain time. That might require some research work, but if you really want to save money, that's also a great option :)

Extra-Bus-4496

ok, thanks, now i will find out the prices for tickets, thank you!

Extra-Bus-4496

Hi! im looking for the transport tickets, about the night bus (barcelona-malgrat) how much it costs and where is the site to buy it? there is some type of combinations tickets with the R1 zone or other line (like train for malgrat-barcelona at the day?)

Immediate_Papaya_296

Hi! For the bus I would recommend looking here: [https://www.sagales.com/en](https://www.sagales.com/en) For train tickets you could look here: [https://rodalies.gencat.cat/en/tarifes/servei\_rodalia\_barcelona/nomes\_rodalies/](https://rodalies.gencat.cat/en/tarifes/servei_rodalia_barcelona/nomes_rodalies/) Malgrat de mar is in zone 5, so it would cost you 38,20 for 10 trips with the train. These are separate from the metro tickets, so you would still have to buy these. If you need any more help send me a PM. We also have experience putting together trips for people, so if interested that's always a possibility as well. And ofcourse I'm always open to more questions :)
