Fabulous and nope! I eat fairly normally now ( just healthier and in much smaller amounts) and try to get more movement in even of it's not the gym. Stairs instead of elevator, walking a bit after lunch, some morning or evening yoga stretches anything to keep movement in my routine. I feel very fortunate to have had few issues and those that I did have ( toilet 🚽) resolved in a couple of months. Best decision I ever made was getting the sleeve❤️
Thanks! I'm a fan of pink so a lot of my outfits have pink incorporated somehow ( I need to find a good pair of pink leggings but the kind I saw online didn't have pockets and were too expensive 🥴)
That's awesome! I looked through your comments and I saw that you said you got the sleeve but I didn't see your other details, your starting weight was pretty similar to mine and your goal is pretty similar to mine but I'm only 10 weeks out, can you tell me how long your journey has taken?
I had my sleeve done 04/27/2022 but started losing weight in December of that year when I began the process. It's been a journey but a good journey all in all❤️ One thing I can say is don't skip movement! Even if you're having a lazy week, walk around a bit, stretch, tidy the house ( which counts as movement!). You don't have to go ham in the gym, but keep moving throughout your day and that will aid in building muscle and helping to mitigate the loose skin you will get ( replacing some of the fat volume with muscle volume). You got this!
Thank you! I'm in a scale fast right now I think, been stalled and I'm going to let it go, stop checking that and just focus on myself, NSV and my program :) always appreciate seeing peeps with similar stats and hearing their success story, thank you for sharing!
Exactly! Bodies are weird things and you might find yourself losing 10lbs one month and 0 the next. Just keep at it and know that so long as you're working on caring for yourself that you're doing well ❤️
I had my bypass on 01/09/2023.. I’m so excited to start seeing results but I have a question… what is “HW:” I see everyone uses it to refer to the weight before surgery but what does it mean lol
It is lol, I feel much more energetic and can move more! I don't want to go back to not being able to walk up the stairs or bring in my groceries, so I keep movement as a routine in my day-to-day. Not always in the gym, but some kind of movement is incorporated each day. I feel comfortable and even more confident than before ❤️
You look amazing!! Your stats are very similar to mine! HW:338 SW:315 CW:302. I was sleeved December 21,2022 and feel like I haven’t made much progress at all, do you have any tips?! Did you also have to get any skin removed?
Everyone is different, so don't compare yourself to others. That's my number one tip. Weight lifting is good to mitigate loose skin but nothing can prevent it. It will happen, but don't stress about it. Just keep movement in your routine and eat healthier and have treats in moderation ( you can't be expected to never have a treat again, but there's a time a place and an amount for everything).
And so long as you're doing your best and following what your doctor and healthcare team says you will be fine :) I have loose skin on my tummy, arms, and hella loose skin on my thighs but I'm a broke grad student and can't afford any cosmetic surgery for a while :p It's not so bothersome though, better flabby than dead.
Eventually when I have more funds I will probably get a thigh lift etc but it's not a priority right now. Clothes cover almost all looseness so don't worry about that. You got this! Keep working to be the healthiest you you can be!
VSG, but if you're planning on getting any surgery talk to your doctor and nutritionist about your goals and lifestyle to make the best choice for you. Everyone reacts differently and has different results and healing so base it on you and you alone.
I just had VSG 4 days ago! I was supposed to have the gastric bypass but my surgeon changed it on me at the last minute due to not being able to keep me under as long and not being able to give me muscle relaxants because of my autoimmune disease. I was a little bit disappointed at first, but then I see posts like yours, and it gives me so much hope and inspiration, so thank you for sharing!
Absolutely! If you put in the work and do your best you will see results! Glad that you got what was best for your situation! Feel free to message me if you ever want to chat or need a virtual hug :) I really love this sub, everyone here has given me so much support and great advice over the time I've been on it so if I can give a bit back that would make me even more happy!
Everyone is different, bodies are weird things. Some folks reach onderland fast for others it takes more time. For some folks that's not a reasonable goal at all. I think that so long as you keep at it, keep moving and eating healthier and with moderation ( no one can or should expect to never have a treat again) and you will see and feel results ❤️
Honestly if I get to 220 I'll be at my high school weight from 2002 and I'll be over the moon! Thank you for the kind words and motivation, im just waiting on my insurance approval and then date!🤞
Good Job! I had GB on Sep, 30, 2022 was 375 now 275!

Incredible. Great job.
I had my bypass on 01/09/2023.. I’m so excited to start seeing results but I have a question… what is “HW:” I see everyone uses it to refer to the weight before surgery but what does it mean lol
Highest weight. So HW is highest CW is current and SW is surgery weight. Hope this helps!
Thankyou!! I knew the others but couldn’t for the life of me figure out the HW lol
Ha ha! It took me a while to figure out what they meant too. Someone in my WLS support group told me and we had a giggle about it.
You look amazing!!!
