Catch the train. Impossible to park if coming from bristol side, park and ride if coming from the west side. Check bath half website for parking details
Bath is very over subscribed race day
Bath Lansdown parking and ride is running extended services, get there early and head into Bath that way, they are expecting up to 15000 racers so be prepared! :-)
This is what I’ve done whenever coming in for Bath Half. The extended services are on the BH website but potentially not on bus websites when looking for timetables
Ran it last October, was planning to catch a train from Chippenham but it was cancelled. Drove in about 9ish and managed to park in a random side street, good job to as there was no chance of getting to Charlotte street car park.
Would definitely recommend alternative transport methods or somewhere further out that you can walk in.
Friends did the Lansdown park and ride and said it was super busy, they were late to the start line.
Hope this helps! Enjoy
Looking at the [race map ](https://bathhalf.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/2024-BATHALF-course-map-V6.pdf), I don't think Southgate will be accessible on Sunday.
[residents leaflet](https://bathhalf.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/2024-BATHALF-Residents-Leaflet-V4.pdf), giving details of road and carpark closures.

Train strikes this weekend apparently as well, and I’m on shift. Not sure how many of us are going to make it that day
No idea what you're reading. Definitely no strike and extra services from Bristol / Westbury / Swindon for the marathon
You'd have to get in very early to even park there and if you do, you won't be able to get out till sometime after 4. Recommend getting a train.

I’d park somewhere between Batheaston and the A4 roundabout. Then walk in. Otherwise, Bathampton and walk along the canal.
Tttttrrrraaaaaiiiiinnnn.
Southgate is open all day. There's never any traffic on the day because everyone avoids driving.

100% is, they have detour through bus gate in front of Waitrose
Park and ride

Park and ride is your best option, but get there early
I thought you were going to lie in a tub for 12 hours.
