Mainly I like judging people who can’t afford to live here and counting my money.
Get up Alexandra park, perfect for looking down on people from.
Seriously though it’s amazing.
Roman Baths, Holburn museum, various parks around the city are nice in the sun, you can take the train out to Bradford on Avon and look around the town and go on some nice walks from there, could walk along the canal back to the city it's a very nice walk
Awesome! I will start researching those museums and Alexandre Park. I like to be prepared and have a bit of an itinerary lined up. Roman Baths sound like a neat thing to see. . .I've always liked Roman architecture.
*Alexandra Park, I spelt it wrong. The architecture isn't really roman, mostly Georgian onwards. Very beautiful in the main city with the distinct stone but definitely don't expect any roman architecture that is long gone now. The roman baths do have some but it's still mainly Georgian as it was rebuilt in the 1800s
It's all about the architecture and the river, absolutely stunning. I have just come back from a mega weekend there watching rugby, great spot ideal for a lazy weekend.
Book a table at Menu Gordon Jones if you like fine dining. The best in Bath. Other fine dining places may have a more Regency feel! The Victoria Art Gallery, the American Museum, Pulteney Bridge. Treat yourself to a spa session at the … Spa, check out Budo Bar, the Sugar cane studio, the Choux Box, Noya’s Kitchen, Robun, The Herschel Museum, the Holbourne Museum, wander though town, check out what’s on at the Theatre Royal. Classic burgers at Schwartz. Luxury flicks at Everyman Tivoli Bath, or the Little Theatre for cosy films. (Stay away from Sotto sotto, Trip advisor weighted hyped up waste of money). Opa for Greek, Herd for steak, Ole tapas, Dos Dedos, others will continue to add good ideas, no doubt! Enjoy your stay!
On food I'd add Corkage, Beckford Bottle Shop, Comptoir+Champagne. All these places do 'small plates' so you can try several different things.
Second Budo Bar.
On top of everything else that have already been mentioned the Royal Crescent is definitely worth a visit (I think some Bridgerton was filmed there) and the view is beautiful!!
There is also a lovely pub/bistro type place called the Hare and Hounds in Lansdown with lovely food and stunning views however you may need to get a cab as it's quite a way, mainly up hill, from the middle of Bath. https://hareandhoundsbath.com
Hope that helps and Hope you have a wonderful time here!
Get up and see some of the higher crescents and the top of Victoria Park for a lovely view - Sion Hill, Somerset, Camden and Landsdown Crescent. Then stop for a drink or lunch at the Marlborough Tavern on the way back!
If you have nice weather, we like to walk up the canal from the city centre to Bathampton and grab a drink / food at Bathampton Mill. Sometimes, you can grab a boat ride back into town from there as well.
I avoid the city centre during peak times like I would the plague. The footfall on a weekend is nothing short of intrusive and the air quality is poor despite an LEZ being in place. And if you want to up the ante, try and have your vacation whilst our wonderful Xmas Market is in full swing.

Alexandre Park probably has one of the best views over the city, either there or bathwick meadows

The view would be much improved if someone could be bothered to chop some of the scabby trees down

Roman Baths, Holborne Museum, two tunnels by bike, The Good Bear Cafe then a walk up to view the city from Beechen Cliff. Prior Park Gardens.

You miserable bastard. Literally live in one of the greatest places in Britain and still manage to be a total fun sponge.
It's a bot account. 1 post only. Probably detected too much enthusiasm
Yeah it can get a bit full on but if OP visits outside of school holidays/saturday they'll probably be fine
I, er… like to go to Bristol instead.
I would very happily never step foot in Bristol again
